Twitch deserves having so many people move away. The truth is, they offer nothing but the fanbase that was cultivated in a time with no competition. They only got this big for lack of true competition and I'm glad things are changing.

Well no competition also means egregious contracts and over saturation. Resulting in terrible creator communication with twitch. Simply because they are too big for their own good and so people getting banned or suspended and not even knowing why is terrible. Also their contracts are under paid for how long they want streamers to stream a month. Obviously the top streamers are getting good deals but that’s the 1%

Twitch has become like local radio. 40% content and 60% commercials. I'm watching the EVO Grand Finals of Street Fighter VI and it's the final final round and I get hit with 5 commercials ruining the end of a great 3 day event. That should never happen and really turns me off to Twitch. I'll be watching the rest of the big tournaments on other platforms.
@Shinanesu

No, there's a huge adverts problem around the world. I'm in germany and when I open a stream, I usually get greeted by 5 back to back ads. That's usually when I realize I shouldn't be wasting my time with twitch like that and turn off, so Idk how bad it is when you actually watch the content and it gets interrupted for ads. But it's apparently not great.

I'm really disappointed that people don't see that for what it is. They do it on purpose. The only reason they ever scale back or apologize or make any changes whatsoever is because of massive backlash. Not because they actually care. It's all about the bottom line. Streaming becomes your life. If you are doing it proper. People think it’s as easy as logging in and popping off. It’s consistency it’s looking and acting a particular way despite what is happening in your real life. You can take a week off work and go back and everything is the same the same pay the same work etc but if you took a week off streaming while trying to come up you just lose. Top it off at any moment some ex or some random person could decide to try and ruin your reputation because lulz like there’s so much stress. You have to be able to control ur environment. My neighbor builds frames out of their garage so half the day is saw saw saw. The morning is filled with yard work. Night time is too late to pop off in an apt. ITS NOT EASY.

@gravy3909 Год назад
@@ggmu5129Twitch is such a top heavy site with a pretty much non-existent discovery algorithm. Views is the only metric that matters so people only ever see the top streamers cause that’s what who site promotes. Sure there have been plenty of streamers who have started from nothing and made it big on twitch but that took years and years of grinding, networking and producing high quality content for little to zero viewers plus the insane amounts of luck that’s involved in that come up process. You could be making some of the best content on the platform and still be a zero digit stream for a long time because you’re discoverability is just that low on twitch. I think competitive gaming streams are a good example of this, I’ve seen plenty of apex streamers who are top level players with good/entertaining personalities only get good viewership numbers after they get raided by a larger streamer and with no help from twitch as a platform (except for maybe that raiding is a feature). Compare that to RU-vid where if you make a dope video where the average percentage viewed will be high cause it’s entertaining this will cause the RU-vid search algorithm to significantly boost your discover ability because of your good metrics I.e those two friends who made a designer couch from scratch as their first video and popped off cause tut was a cool vid to watch.(slightly different cause I’m talking about videos for RU-vid but you could argue that you could translate video viewership into stream viewership on the same channel)

I've never digged twitch and livestreaming, I always disliked tv and its ads and I always felt it was the same with twitch. For me RU-vid vods you can watch whenever you want at your pace has always been better, also the twitch hoes ruined everything even further and they have less presence here

I think that if streamers were more open about how much they pull in many people would be less willing to donate or at least would donate smaller money amounts. And so streamers aren't open about how much they make or the lifestyle they live with the money they receive. To me it seems like the more successful a streamer is often the more they act like they are merely bumming it.

Last I heard RU-vid supported a 51k bitrate for streaming, but I might be off. So it's like 10x Twitch's.

I have found out about and watched you on RU-vid exclusively along with OTK content and Steak and Eggs Podcast. Twitch's approach and attitude towards the streamers and viewers is totally unprofessional. I also had an account there that was breached, and money was taken then restored to my associated payment card. Did not receive any approval request or notification from Twitch but only my card associated account provider. Security is also a big issue and their attitude towards that was also very dismissive and lacking implication or care. I closed my Twitch account. The way they handled all the Dr.Disrespect situation also contributed my decision as well.

I'm blacklisted from making purchases on Twitch, Subs, donations, anything. They doubled charged me and wouldn't do anything about it so I had my credit union reverse the charge and now I'm blacklisted because "I stole from them." Garbage company with garbage leadership and garbage practices. They deserve to fail.

The problem with twitch is that Amazon doesn't need it or care about it. Just a random add-on running in the background. Literally just another way to get prime subs.

@@ChristmasLore the teacher example totally doesn’t make sense so idk why you brought that up, and really prep and technical can take no longer than 30 mins after you set it up for the first time. And streamers can go live seven days a week at there own comfort so they could do only like 5.5 hours a day if they were smart. And trying to read your comment was aids bro

@@ChristmasLore I mean teachers have lessons plans that they use for years it doesn’t change and you really think asmon spends hours before stream thinking about videos he wants to watch then your giving them way to much credit lol

@@Zebraman220You are forced to be at a lecture and an entertainer should make you want to be at their "lecture". There is a reason 90% of twitch streams dont break 20 viewers. Maybe something to do with them thinkin they can turn on a camera do fuck all for 8 hours n call it a day.
