it's jujutsuOVER... sorry i couldn't watch this episode sooner - i was with family til this morning because of the holiday weekend here in the US. thanks for being patient though :') i am still crying even hours after finishing this episode...nanami is forever the best 😭
Yea Gojo getting sealed is the result of all of this cause at the end of the day curses don’t really fw humans in any way they don’t care and mahito is like one of the juvenile curses so he’s more immature and crazy than someone like Jogo who isn’t as careless
Mahito mockingly screaming back at Yuji after killing Nanami , and taunting him with his friend he transfigured shows how sadistic he truly is. The animators really brought that nature to life and now, every reactor wants Mahito dead ASAP...possibly in the next episode.🤣🤣
I mean, he IS the curse of humanity, and we all know how cruel we humans can get...so his personality actually checks out. But both Yuji and Mahito's voice actors killed this one, they really sold the gravity of the situation.
litreally f these reactors, they enjoys characters like mahito when he is goofing around and kills normal beings but when he hurts their "daddies" they can't tolerate him? Half of these reactors on youtube din't even understand the word reaction..
Being a manga reader means nothing because the way the animators and directors at MAPPA decided to go about Nanami's scene was beyond what I expected. I'm so happy they gave Nanami's finale a much better representation in this episode. And Yuuji's voice breaking as he calls out for Nanamin and yells for Mahito. My heart breaks for my baby boy. Losing two of his mentors in one day. Having been used as a tool to murder thousands of innocent people and being goaded on top of that. :( He's only 15.
While Nanami's death is truly sad, I believe Mahito mercy killed him, everyone else he transfigures and makes them suffer arguably more but with Nanami it was quick.
After all I think mahito lowkey likes him cause Nanami have fought him a few times, he wanted to talk but killed him quick cause Yuji was there, but he wanted to chat at first
im not sure it was as much a mercy kill for nanami as it was mahito using his death to mess with yuuji :( i think he has fun with nanami but saw an opportunity to cause yuuji even more pain and took it
@@kasey2894 it is definitely a mix of both. If Mahito wanted to extra mess with Yuji, it would have made more sense to make Yuji be the one to kill Nanami by transfiguring him and having him fight Yuji.
First time Nanami and Yuji met Nanami treated Yuji like a child that needed to be protected because Nanami was an adult, “You take it from here” was Nanami realizing Yuji isn’t a child and a full sorcerer who doesn’t need protection anymore. 10/10 character growth, ya love to see it
@@gaiusx287 right, because he acknowledges Yuji as a sorcerer now when in the past he only saw him as a child…..re watch their first interaction, it’s the exact dialogue.
@@ProHero86yup which is why yuji says "prove it" because initially on meeting Nanami he tells Nanami he would prove to Nanami that he was a jujutsu sorcerer and nanami said he didn't care. But nanami leaving the rest to yuji means he does view yuji as a fellow sorcerer now and yuji wants to prove that the trust is not misplaced which is why he says "I'm a jujutsu sorcerer in that same monologue"
@@dtzouwoyeah I agree some people is over reacting I kinda know some reactor who over reacting , but For misako I don't thing she is overreacting ,just happen so many girl reactor have more empathy
I love Jujutsu Kaisen, as it is not your regular cliche shonen where the good guys barely suffer any loss or defeat by the bad guys and nobody dies. Nah, the bad guys have just as much plot armor as the good guys and take a lot of lives and W's, especially in this Shibuya Arc. That opening Specialz is for the villains, not the heroes.
He killed him violently after turning around and smilingly realizing Yuji is watching. He showed him his corpse to break his soul like he said he was going to do with Nobara at the end of the episode. Really hard to miss yet here you are 💀
Nanami pack 🚬 anyway Nanami wasn’t a father figure more like just a friend to Yuji which is why this is peak writing by Gege, tired of the sensei dying trope.
Indeed.. i read the manga up till ch150++, about 10++ ch after shibuya arc ends, about 2 years ago. I was shocked at how hard shit hit the fan in this arc.. and how long it was. I wondered two things: - how in the everliving heck will mappa animate this arc - how are the anime-onlies gonna react to this amount of carnage. The community asked around how will S2 of JJK turn out before it aired, and all i said was: shit is about to hit the fan so hard, it made S1 look like a kindergarten sandbox.

I can’t get over Nanami’s death 😭 it’s so heartbreaking, he has always been protective of young sorcerers after witnessing the death of his best friend, he’s always at the front line of danger and gives the upcoming sorcerers hope, he’s indeed a legend that will never be forgotten. He did all he could and now he can rest in peace and hopefully go to his vacation spot and read all the books he wanted to read 🥹
Im really glad that nanamin was the one gojo asked to mentor yuji. Nanamin really is the good influence and guidance yuji needed as a jujutsu socrerer. Rest in Peace Nanamin ❤
to be fair, Mahito gave Nanami a mercy kill compare to other human he toyed with, say Jumpei, he became stronger because of Nanami so in a twisted respect: Boom! instant death, painless
I think you're right about him having some sort of twisted respect for Nanami. Mahito doesn't really smile or grin when he sees Nanami walking past half dead, he doesn't taunt or insult him when he catches him by surprise and is even willing to talk with him a bit before Yuji shows up and he realizes it's the perfect chance to mess with him.

This arc is a lot and many people take a break from jjk when they finish this in the Manga. It's rough. But this is really where jjk takes a sharp turn from other shonen series
when I read manga, I thought GeGe(writer)is total Sadist. but now, whole staff of this animation is the WORST & BEST sadist. the music, voice acting, scene editing, Cliffhanger. (esp, Mahito's voice Actor is another level this season) and, Mahito is so hansome, this is the evidence 8:18
Look, the fact that Mahito can make you cry right when he finished OG Daddy, insanely angry right afterwards as Yuji is racing towards him, and then laugh when he goes in for a kiss and does his little mouth stab attack, I mean what a fucking villain right?
I think it was just mercy kill bc Mahito would have just kill him when he walked past him but I think Mahito was kinda disappointed to see him in this state he was excited to fight him at full strength.
The true villian is the person that spoiled alana her favorite characters death granted I’d can’t imagine how her true reaction would be it would be amplified 10x worse that this current reaction, Rest In Peace nanami❤❤❤
This episode is just trauma, Suffering, Sadness. To lighten the mood, Might I suggest The Ice Guy And His Cool Female Colleague? It's a nice relaxing show to take a break from all the gloominess
JJK manga "fans" are the worst at keeping spoilers in my experience. I'm an anime-only and I know pretty much every big spoiler up to current chapter just from being on the internet in general.
Bravo to the team at MAPPA for blowing Nanami’s death scene out of the water even better than in the manga. The cuts from him dancing on his dream beach without a worry in the world to him slaughtering the transfigured monsters was brilliant. The piano just brings it all together even more. They really put a lot of love and respect into this despite how awful his death is. RIP to the man all men should aspire to be; Kento Nanami was a real one to the very end.
I was also spoiled about this when I was reading and typing comments long ago. All the curses be upon them. And this episode was sick, the cinematography, the soundtrack, big props to director and animators!
In the manga, Mahito and Nanami were facing each other. I'm glad that in the anime, he only saw Yuuji in his last moments and didn't have to look at Mahito. Also, thank you for being one of the few reactors who didn't expect Yuuji to rush in and try to save the day. 1) he couldn't have 2) he literally just had a breakdown! He's grieving, and can only do but so much
small fact: those are not curses since curses have purple blood so they were transfigured souls which is just a little detail on how mahito set it all up to kill nanami in front of itadori
This is my third time rewatching (from reactions) and I'm just piecing together the symmetry between him dancing and fighting - You're always told during performances to get back up and keep going if you stumble. So in his fight, even tho he drops his weapon or takes a hit, he keeps going. man the writing goes crazy...
First half: heartwrenching scene where we get to see what Nanami’s life could have been Second half: Mahito shows feet, almost smooches Yuji, cartoon sound effects a-plenty What a show
A friend of mine actually told me a fake spoiler about Nanami. He told me that he has an epic fight with Mahito and defeats him in that burnt state, so I was horrified to see him explode 😢
My only complaint was that we didn’t fully get the chance to have some moment of silence for Nanami. It went straight to that fight which honestly I wasn’t paying attention because I’m still in shock! 😢
@@michaelrhooms5000 just 10 seconds of ‘A moment of silence for Nanami, the best character in JJK’ against a black background would have been nice. 🥹lol But I guess were on a schedule 😵
In the manga, it is MUCH quicker and even less time is wasted. Believe me, the team at MAPPA paid a lot of respect to Nanami with how they handled his death and they expanded it a little. There may not have been enough time to mourn after, but the lead-up of him dancing on the beach with no worries as he slaughtered the transfigured monsters was such a beautiful idea that’s not in the manga. You can tell they care so much about the fans’ favorite characters, it was a nicer send-off than the swift one Akutami gave him imo
Love your reaction ! Nanami last fight was amazing. He was so brave. MAPPA really loved Nanami and prove it. Can't wait to see next episode and see the nobara's fight !
UGHHH man I didn't cry origingally when I watched it bc I knew it was coming, but seeing u cry broke my heart oml it's literally so sad and I thought I could tough it out the first time but it's just sooo much
Mahito not transforming him but just staring out killing him may have been a mercy in the end. It’s as they say. The brightest lights get snuffed out the fastest. RIP Nanami
my heart was crushed watching it. i feel like emotional moments will always have more impact on screen. the shakiness and sadness in yujis voice, utterly defeated. Nanami deserved better, but I’m so glad him and yuji were able to have that last moment. I think it shows how much Nanami trusts and respects yuji. he’s watched this kid do some of the most recklessly brave things (forcing his way into a domain) not only to protect nanami but others. he respects yuji as a child with a burden too heavy, and allowed him to be selfish by leaving his will to him at the end. Nanami Kento, the man that you are, that you were, and that you always will be.
How sad for Nanami, that's why he's my favorite character or the one I was most in tune with! whether it is the society he rejects or the world exorcism all he wanted was to step aside and rest at the time of the chapter I had complained about it but there with this season 2 who give him some care as for another character that we will see ;) it always hurts! Thank you Kentounet despite his state of being, remaining in his duty to take care of the alters!
Sucks that you were spoiled on this but yeah, even as a manga reader the anime scene still hit. They added a lot more scenes than in the manga as well so it made it even more painful. He could've went back up to get healed but he decided to continue downward into the subway, caring for others over himself.
@@mohamedismail6777 to me thats what make nanami the goat cause he knew the risk but still pushed through.. but im also a person who think shows are better we people die on both side regardless of who the character is.. nanami my favorite but i love mahito cause he just a perfect villain
Agreed. I'm not a manga reader and I was starting to worry that this show was like most other shonen in that the main/beloved characters never die, which makes the stakes feel far lower than they should be (which would be especially bad in an arc this crazy). The best authors write their stories honestly, and you can't write an honest story if you're protecting characters based on how popular they are, or how good they are for business.
Gege the creator of JJK has accomplished a fine task of teaching us that u shouldnt be attached to any character, or else be ready to mourn for them.... 😎
They actually changed the translations to what theyre supposed to be now on Crunchyroll Sukuna's Domain Expansion is called Malevolent Shrine instead of Malevolent Kitchen and his 2 abilities are called Cleave and Dismantle not fillet and whatever the other one was. The big one was instead of Makora its Mahoraga
their trump card was actually dagon absobing all those humain for his evolution, the problem mahito doesnt know that toji actually took him out already, since lot of fight happen at the same time.
I remember in season 1,nanami said to itadori yuji his already a jjutsu sorcerer after fight of mahito, that day nanami knows how strong itadori cause he save nanami, but the real is sukuna save him absolutely.
