I miss being a kid and riding home from my cousins house, warm air flowing through the vents and radio playing, now I just have homework and depression Edit: for everyone saying "it gets worse, you're just a kid" I know, that's why I'm sad. I'm struggling so much and I am well aware that it will get harder and I know I won't be able to handle it. This is a comment yearning for the past, we can all relate to that. It's not a competition to see who has struggled more. Edit 2: I see people asking how I'm doing since I posted this comment so long ago and the short answer is I'm doing better. The longer answer is that I got on what feels like the right meds, I have a great therapist who's helping me with my depression, but my day to day life is still shit. I'm not actively suicidal anymore but I don't exactly want to live you know? I'm not gonna spout some bs about how life is worth living cause it really doesn't feel like it right now but thanks for all the encouragement. If I get better I might update this comment again idfk, toodles

It's amazing how many people are comforted by the rain. How many of us remember the cloudy days with anticipation instead of sadness, because we were cozy indoors waiting to see if we'd get even a short shower pinging against our windows. How many of us have memories of long car rides where we fell asleep to the radio, or to the simple background noise created by rain and car heaters and our family members talking in the background. Life is good, sometimes. And it's nice to know that we share it together.

Oh how dreamy! I’m stretched out in the back seat with a cozy blanket, being rocked by the car movements. The rain is the lullaby. Mom and Dad are talking low in front. I feel safe and loved.

It almost feels like I'm ten years old, my thoughts falling into incoherence as I drift into sleep, praying that that last turn never comes so I never have to get out of the car. Watching this sent me back in time, just for a second.

To anybody who's reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life. 🙏

I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m going. Enjoying the journey. There’s no other feeling like a relaxing drive through rain at night. I feel sleepy but I don’t want to close my eyes and miss a thing.

For everyone feeling melancholy, it's ok to reminisce about the past sometimes, but it is life, and it is unfair, we all move on to better things so as to not dwell on the past. For it's the world we are trying to change, not the past.

As a child, one of my favorite moments of the day was watching the landscape on the window of my dad's car at night while listening to music on my earphones, we used to go to my grandmother's house every weekend and it was a long ride, so I was pretty happy at that moment. I could imagine stories while looking at the rain, the lights, people walking, etc. and I loved it. Now my dad and my grandmother are gone forever, and these moments are never coming back again. Now, watching the window of other people's cars doesn't feel the same, so this video brought back many memories to me, thank you...

These were like the ultimate sleeping times growing up while on the way home. Being night time, raining and just feeling comfy in your uncomfortable seat, it was like the best time you’d ever sleep.

I remember when we, my dad, mom, older brother and I were traveling to different countries for a whole year. We traveled through Europe, visiting countries that we wanted. The cold mornings with a cup of coffee or tee, while we sat on the porch of the bus, looking at the amazing views. The warm nights where we would have barbeque nights and laugh all through the night. All the people we met, all the sites we saw. And then, the trip to going home. It rained all the way through, and me and my brother played games and had so much fun doing literally nothing. Those little things will be one of my best memories when I look back at them.

I've always loved sitting in the back of the car as my dad drove us home during summer breaks. God knows how much I love and appreciate all he's done for our family.

My wife always pays more attention in situations like this.

Every time I’ve gone to bed the past year and a half hasn’t been the same. Constant waking up, even if I get a full nights sleep, it just didn’t satisfy my exhaust. Thank you man, I struggle with depression and other illnesses and things, they all attack my body and at this point, I haven’t felt comfort in so long. This video brought me back to the golden days of my childhood, my body had constant goosebumps. I had a smile throughout my sleep (until I was unconscious) and when I woke up, I felt great. Once again, thanks for this video, it’s medicine for me, hopefully for others as well.

I miss night drives through the rain as a kid so much, especially from my grandparents house a few hours away. I don’t think there’s anything in the world that’s more soothing. I miss driving my busted mazda at night. Even though I hate driving at night when it's raining, I miss that so much. Sometimes I just got in my car and drove around town for a bit to be with myself and my thoughts, figuring out stuff or maybe calling a friend to join me. I hope I can experience this again soon 🥺

I am from Ukraine, because of the war we had to leave, we traveled by car for a very long time, and our car was the only thing that reminded us of home, we traveled for almost a month, but now that we are in another country and we are not moving anywhere (we moved like 10 times in different countries🥲), when I listen to this sound, it seems to me that we are driving a car with my family and a little more and we will return home ..:) (P.s sorry for bad English)

Watching the side view of the window is so nostalgic to me. Reminds me of the time my family would have outings in our car and we'd be driving home late at night and all I'd see is the passing of lights and fee shops and stuff. Nothing else stuck in my head from those trips, just the car rides home in the dark but I loved them more then anything. I miss them.

really reminds me of how my dad drives us during road trips.. the longest being 6 hrs. i only realised that i should really appreciate them now even if all the memories i have of us driving are kinda sad bc of my parents arguing in the background 🤩 anyways it reminds me of how i used to wear my headphones and just rest my hesd for a while while i listen to the car running across the driveway at 4am. it’s so calming and nice i can just be in my own head for a while and think about how i can improve myself in my life or just think of scenarios about life.
