He wants to learn to fly now. He relates to this character because he is intelligent, is capable of surviving situations that other kids don't, is a quick thinker and utilizes what is around him. I have lost everything in my life 3 times.I am 53 and have been a homeless 3 times. What l learned is:: you are much stronger than you think,and you grow stronger through time.And you end up having a much better and meaningful life. Just NEVER EVER GIVE UP. You identify with what you own and what you do.When you have all this taken away,you are an empty container.You can fill it up with something completely different. Loosing everything is the best chance to start a new path in life that you don't dare to out of fear of loosing what you have built.

My family and I had a practice run for what’s to come when hurricane Micheal ripped through our area. I can tell you it was horrendous, no cell phone service , no power no stores were open and utter destruction all around us! Then within days we had a continued influx of criminals robbing empty houses . Then within a few weeks neighborhoods that had empty houses because of damage where being occupied by meth addicts from out of state! I never realized this but apparently in the drug world when a disaster like hurricane Michael happens all these druggies come in and set up meth labs in abandoned houses , all because there are so many free handouts to help local victims of the disaster; who would’ve ever thought? Eventually a year later our local sheriff started condemning homes just to be able to get the meth addicts out of the squatted homes . As neighbors we banded together, protected one another, fed one another, and even let people shower in our homes, at least the homes that had a generator so that you could have water. That was an experience I will never forget. My daughter and I lived in a shed for seven months waiting to get our home fixed. We had an out house a well a generator and a barbecue. For the first several weeks we had to drive 30 miles for gas and cell service. I must say through it all we had a lot of peace because we believe in Jesus Christ and we try to live out what His word says. We not only had to help ourselves but we chose to help other people and by reaching out that gave us even greater peace. God never promised us an easy life but what He did promise was he would give us peace through the chaos if we submit to Him surrender to Him and love Him. I pray that for everybody who follows any of these type of sites that we would all learn to love God with all of our hearts with all of our souls with all of our minds and our neighbor as ourselves.

I had a career and long term relationship and whole other life, to find out in my 30s that I was born with something permanent and untreatable never mind curable. It caused horrid problems that took everything. I was devastated but I found a way to carry on and to build a new life with the new rules I get to live by. No. It's not easy to watch your life be destroyed before your very eyes. Prepare yourselves for it.

One thing to consider is not to worry your children, you don't have to tell them every single detail. When we were kids, no matter what was happening, we were not told all of the details that would distress us. Kids will know something is going on, but you don't have to give them all of the info that is beyond their ability to cope.. they are little kids. Keep it simple.
@oneperson5760
@oneperson5760 2 года назад
Yes. But little kids can understand and cope better than we think they can. We have to make sure we tell them enough for them to understand and make sense of it. For example, when a hurricane was approaching and my husband's family had to evacuate when he was a little boy, he asked what a hurricane was, and they simply told him 'it's like a blizzard.' He didn't understand what a blizzard was either, so his little mind thought a giant lizzard like godzilla was coming and he was more terrified than he would have been if they'd just taken the time to explain to him what a hurricane was.
@salobrena6442
@salobrena6442 2 года назад
@@oneperson5760 Kids do not need to know about things beyond their control that are detritmental. Why have a child become anxious with worry over something they cannot control. It's the parents job to worry, not the child's. You can certainly parcel out some information.. as in that case it would have been better for the parents to say storm with strong winds.

I think the biggest thing we can do to condition our minds is fasting. It's amazing how hard the lizard brain kicks in when you go without food, even though you know when and where your next meal is. You have to go through physical, mental, and emotional withdrawals. Better to go through it now while you have food available. We need much less food than we think we do. When the time comes and there's no food, you won't be panicking , you will be alert, and your body will be adapted to less. Plus you'll get healthier in the process.

We often do no electronics and we are all on very good shape. They play sports and we are very used to the insane Arizona heat in summer. We try to learn something new everytime we go out and even at home. I also don’t shield our kids from real life. We discuss everything from economic issues in the world and on our own home. They understand stress and dealing with stress. They also understand the world stage and how it effects us all. I believe it’s better for kids to understand that life is never perfect and things will indeed happen in life and it’s how we react to those things and how we can work together. As a result my kids tell me everything going on in their lives. There are zero secrets and they never lie to me because I never scared them into lying. We work together and get through things as a family. Even though I have two teens they were fine with being home and getting outside more. You have some awesome points here. We in Australia, the lucky country, haven’t had to face this kind of thing since the Great Depression. It might be time to pull grandma’s old recipe book out! They had to make the best of what they had, which wasn’t much! I’m very lucky, I’ve never gone hungry or had nowhere to live… how the hell am I going to get through this. How are any of us? My conversations with God seem to be going pretty fast these days where I ask a question or pose a quandary and lately it seems like that same day He is sending an answer my way. Water was recently... then he provided answers about how to store water safely, etc. Then I started thinking it would be a good idea to prepare the motorhome as a "bug out bag" ... JUST mentioned it to my sister about an hour ago. I was also thinking a few days ago about all this prep stuff I am trying to do, feeling completely inept to do it, as well as feeling quite alone in efforts.... I am realizing I just don't have enough time. It feels like it is coming at me faster than I can get things ready, let alone learn how to develop skills needed for what I feel is coming. I have problems with anxiety, depression, PTSD. Currently seeking government assistance because I can't work... I just can't be around people. I was having problems from personal life stuff before things got super crazy and now... I'm becoming increasingly agoraphobic. It feels like whenever I start getting really scared about what's coming, He sends message along that says He's going before me and guiding my way. You, sir, were the message today. You hit on everything that I've been thinking about recently, even today. It feels very much like a confirmation which gives me a sense of peace, so thanks for making this video. It also amps up "freak-out" mode in my brain. Thank you for the book suggestions. Hopefully I will find a way to get them before I lose the ability due to chaos. The books you mentioned feel like a must for our library. I really appreciate this video on another front as well. Everyone is acting "normal" while in my mind I am going nuts. I've talked with my counselor about this, but she is trying to talk my anxiety down out of the rafters, not understanding what's coming... and disregarding urgency by assuming it is "just" anxiety running away with me. Two out of three of my personal community disregard the urgency, assuming I'm just being a basket case. I feel like I'm coming undone mostly because nobody in my immediate circle seems to understand the urgency as I am seeing it. This video helps me feel a little less lonely... and a little less insane. If I do make it on the other side of this... it will most definitely be God's doing because I am not prepared, nor capable... but it won't keep me from trying.

I'm stunned by how everyone seems to be mostly alone in this. I think when the time comes we will get the groups we need. If we move too early we're vulnerable. And it's hard to get a sense but there are many people who are waking up... I often think of Jeremiah warning and no one listened.

I agree with Labradorite. We are being kept isolated by God for the time being. He has His plan and until the time is right, you are doing the right thing by getting ready. Jesus said the path of following Him is narrow and few will take it. That is very true and we are seeing this in real-time right now. One thing I know is, if I die to myself daily, pick up my cross, be it anxiety, PTSD, etc., and follow Him, I feel a peace beyond all understanding. It's hard waiting, but you are always hidden and under His protection. Jesus loves you so. You are going to be alright. God Bless. PRAISE JESUS.

As a member of the EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security I can tell you you're 100% correct about the sun. During the last month, I've had M Class Flare alerts roughly two to three times a month. We're in a solar minimum now, but that doesn't mean we're out of danger. In fact the 1859 Carrington Event, which involved a powerful coronal mass ejection (CME) from the sun, took out the telegraph system. If we were to experience anything like the Carrington Event today, it would be an existential event and we'd be back in the 1850s technologically. The past couple years I’ve been in a rush for food sustainability and stockpile. My family once again doesn’t see the same sense of urgency. What’s coming is going to be bad. I lost tons of work in the 2008 crash, so I began studying permaculture & primitive living skills in earnest. I watched friends freak out over the latest crash, & I feel like not much has changed for me because I've already experienced at least some if it. I chose to live here because the community is full of small family farms. The biggest challenge is water, so I am designing with that in mind. I have been watching a lot of bush crafting. When I was a youngster, I would've loved to have had the skills these people have to put to use. I think it could be a handy thing for non electronic entertainment or even an emergency shelter. Also teaches cooking over fire. A lot of these guys are in safe areas, but, it doesn't hurt to know stuff regardless. I suggest a good family dog also. Not tiny mites, but sizeable dogs. In times when people are in situations that they can't deal with, a good alert dog would be a benefit. :) I would suggest keeping tarps around, hatchets, hacksaws, and nails of various good sizes. Also, barbeque racks or old oven racks as well. A good thing to know is that if you use a ground pit for a fire, DO line it with flat rocks so that the fire won't seep underground into a root system of a tree or something and cause a future damaging fire. Gods Blessings!

70+% of pet food is contaminated. Get ready.... with euthanasia drugs. How could that happen???? The pet food industry picks up the "put to sleep" animals you take to the vet. And ... soylent pet food. ... it's made from pets ! My husky will leave her food in the dish for days and only eats it if she has to. We just share our dinner, and everything on this farm is organic . Sorry, but this is the actual truth, it's really that bad

I figured that out when everytime i took a pet to the vets, their cure was human food... ckn, cottage cheese, tomatoes... ect. So i feed my pets all the human food that they will eat... as TREATS. my sister has a farm in canada and she never buys dogfood. She feeds ALL her dogs table scraps. From scraped plates from restaurants and her own table, but not much is wasted at her home. She lives on a deadend road that ppl drop off dogs or even WHOLE LITTERS!! She has had up to a dozen dogs at one time! She NEVER gets them vaxed. Proof in that is all her litter puppies she rescues live up into their 20's with no cancer and other serious illnesses and the dogs that were vaxed (probably vaxed b4 they got dropped off) dont live into their 20s. Yes grapes, pork, bones, even chicken bones and in her farming years over the last 50 years, she has NEVER had a dog get a bone caught.🤔 dogs, like bears, eat everything! She even adopted retired sled dogs that NEEDED certain meds... several months into their life on the farm, they were off ALL THOSE "NEEDED" MEDICINES!!! Just saying... follow the money...🙄🙄🙄

I have a very old teacup yorkie, not sure how old cuz im her third owner. Her first owner fed her things like cheez puffs and human junk food. By the time she got to me, she had to have all but three teeth pulled and unless I boil her fresh (white meat) chicken for every meal, her bowels turn to liquid, she bleeds from her bum and she goes to the bathroom until she dies. I was hit hard financially four years ago through tragedy, but I have been homeless since March 1st, 2022, and have still managed to keep feeding her in this way. I also have another elderly dog with health problems galore and an elderly cat that are still with me, but my point in all of this is nothing to do with what dogs should or shouldn’t eat, but that “where there’s a will, there’s a way” and what’s important to ppl, they’ll find a way.

I've known about this for over a decade. I had dreams about this time, all of them are coming true. You're correct, it's going to be from the sun and nothing will work on the entire planet. I've spent over a decade begging my husband to leave Seattle and get to the country. He finally gave in and bought a place, but refused to retire until the end of October. I think October is too late. The worst part is, I've been mentally and physically preparing for this, and it's only just now hitting my husband. He believes me now. Now I get to be strong while he mourns the betrayal and loss of everything he's worked for his entire life. The life we had ended in December 2019. I lived off grid for five years, and he's right, you really need to understand what you are up against. Mosquitoes and ticks will drive you insane. Here's a great tip for Mosquitoes. First off free range chickens are your best natural defense. I discovered this one by accident. I ran out of firewood (smoke is useless) so I lit a few candles and put them on the stump that I was using as a foot rest. Soon I realized that the Mosquitoes weren't bothering my legs, eventually I figured out that if you put a candle 6 inches from each chair leg,( any candle will work mine were unscented) you will not be bothered by any Mosquitoes. But if you go to get another beer or a log for the fire they will be on you like stink on shit.

I've been thinking through this. it really comes down to skills you can barter and trade to get the things you need. having a huge stockpile is probably a detriment as you cannot be mobile. in a worst case SHTF you will need to abandon everything. being resilient, creative and resourceful are the most important things you need. ultimately, those who have trust in the Lord, surrender to His will and rest in his care will have all they need to get through. God will provide. what's the worst case? you die and go to heaven? there is not one thing on earth that can surpass the glories of heaven.

I love to read and I will definitely be checking out this author. Thank you! I see so many videos talking about power outages from EMPs, solar flares, CMEs or cyber attacks, but what no one seems to be talking about is the fact that our power plants are facing the same parts issues that other industries are facing. My husband is a maint. mechanic at a power plant. They’ve had issues getting parts. So far it hasnt been for anything major, but we know that day is coming. The larger parts have to be shipped out for repairs requiring diesel trucks that haul oversized loads. With higher prices/diesel fuel shortages that may become difficult. Whatever the cause, it appears that long term power outages are in our future. If power plants are having these issues, then other utility companies are having them too. Where we live, the weather can (and has) knock out our power for days or weeks at a time. I have several oil lamps that I keep on hand and Ive been stocking up on kerosene oil. I also have several solar lights that I plan to bring indoors if need be and I plan to get more to keep on hand. In our younger days we used to camp in the wilderness. We learned how to cook over a campfire and boil water to clean with. That was 40+ yrs ago, we camp differently now but we still have those skills we learned. And still use them from time to time. We look at our current rv as a survival shelter “just in case”. We have always been very resourceful and self reliant the problem we face now is that as we are aging we aren’t able to do as much as we did when we were younger. We’re raising 2 of our grands and teaching them how to be resourceful and self reliant. We have talks like “when I was young” “in the older days” lol and “what if” scenarios. Even at now 17 & 13 they’re both very eager to learn. They have a skill set that most kids their age, in these times, don’t have.

That'll condition you, it's a real mental battle on nights when you can't see your hand in front of your face and you hear what can only be a grizzly, trust me, real mental battle and if you make it through that, well, you can handle just about anything. By real forest I mean the forest that's never been touched by man or equipment, the forest that within a few yards and no compass you may well never find your way out. The light hardly reaches the ground the sound is different, it's a whole different world.

I did that when I turned 18, female here 😊. My parents didn’t want me to go to my graduation party with my class (so glad now I listened.) I have always loved the woods and wanted to prove to myself I wasn’t afraid of the woods, so I slept out in the woods with no tent, just my blankets. (I lived on a farm in Wisconsin and bears had been seen in those woods) As it got dark my dog kept walking a few feet towards home and whining but I wasn’t budging. Finally she gave up and went home. It was a really windy night and the wind was whipping through the pine trees and the moon was shining brightly. In the middle of the night I woke up and was lying on my back and pulled my knee up. A big paw pushed it right back down. Now I was terrified. I laid very still and had the blanket over my face so I couldn’t see what it was. I knew not to show fear, so I lay very still. After a long time I peaked out but couldn’t see anything. When the sun came up I walked home. I had no gun, knife etc. It was an experience I will never forget.

If you live in the south west solar power can work - I live in the deep south - the humidity is high - it's 60% or more most of the time - moisture defuses sun light - so the UV does not strike the panel directly - we're I live a good solar panel will only generate 20% of it's rated out put 2 hrs a day - they don't work well - if you have light loads and enough panels they can work -its better to charge power stations with a small inverter camping generator we're I live -

Hurricanes, ice storm, snow ect can knock my power out for months - Many of us will run our generator a few hours a day to charge the fridges, build up the water pressure, wash clothes ect - or we will run the air-condition a few hours before we go to sleep - In my case In each room there is a lamp that runs off 12 volts and is hooked to a boat battery or camper battery - The battery charges when we run the generator - also there 12 volt DC receptical's in the house to charge phones ect on - For about 35 yrs there were 15 watt 12 volt bulbs in the lamps and fixtures that were low voltage - Now there LEDs - once my power was out for about a yr - We use those 12 volt fans also as used in school busses - they still sell them on line - Ive used them through many summers when. The grid was down out here - If we want to heat something in the microwave that's when a inverter comes in handy - its little things like that or even toasting bread - or using the electric coffee maker in the morning - every thing is made for 120 volts AC these days - to run a generator 24 hrs a day is expencive they might burn 20 gal of gas a day also gas is hard to get after a storm - the way we do it running the generator up to 3 hrs a day we never burn more than 2.5 gallons of gas a day

I credit my parents for teaching me to live off the land, we would go on "roughing it" camping trips when I was a kid, just the bare necessities. And I loved every minute of it. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to test their survival skills for a weekend. When I say rough it, I mean just sleeping bags, tarps, nylon cords, multitools, a hatchet, waterproof matches, fishing supplies and a 22 rifle. I cheat and bring a cooler of course. As far as movies go, I'd have to say The Road is a good depiction of the future, the far-off future hopefully.
