This is Day 4 of a 22-day cruise on the Enchanted Princess. Princess considers these two different 11-day back-to-back cruises. We were cancelled into Livorno and then tried to get into La Spezia. The storm kicks us back to sea, and we enjoy an unexpected sea day. Join us for a progressive dinner and a show in the evening.
This is the 4th video that contains a letter for Journey to the Secret Word. For each of the 11 days onboard the ship, we will hide a letter, find all 11 and form a three-word cruise-related phrase. Make a list of where all the letters were found and what the words are - then mail it to secret @ cruisingcanucks.ca? Hi guys Congratulations to Mrs. Canuck. If in Europe it is generally good manners to eat Pizza with knife and fork. Only general variance is if you buy a slice but one still sits down. So well done Mrs. Canuck. Also in many cases burger type meals not the greasy type filled with everything, are also eaten with a knife and fork. Sorry about ports missed. However as is well known that the bigger the ship the more issues with docking as in strong winds is like a large sail. Yes, sea looked rough. However, we went thru a major North Atlantic storm off Greenland and Faroe Islands. No ports available. Waves occasionally going over bow as ship ploughed through them. Amazing time. Ooh the boat was just on 50,000 tons. Handled it well. Some years ago a large cruise vessel sailing to Japan from Alaska was crossing the Bering Sea and was over 80000 tons and had many windows high up on the front by a rogue wave. Actually I go onto balcony watching the waves and take photos of bow going thru waves. Amazing moments. Sorry about the missed ports. La Spezia is great port as it is so close to Cinque Terre. Amazing but Portifino(Cinque Terre) and Livorno were smashed by the storm. Cheers Keith in OZ

We do the Progressive Dinner a lot! We like to start in that Vista lounge, then up to the Concierge lounge for Happy Hour, then to MDR for dinner or sometimes just dessert. Then off to Crooners and finish off at Take 5 for jazz. Cheers! Hopefully you find Crown Royal soon…

From the east coast and we don't eat pizza with a knife and fork. Even when I lived in Germany I picked it up and ate pizza by the slice.

We love the idea of the progressive dinner, we will try it on our next cruise, we only have to wait 513 days 😂😂. The high waves were amazing, i loved it on our first cruisetrip, could not stop watching it on our balcony. Thanks again for sharing the vlog. Everybody...have a great cruise life!

We did a progressive dinner once but we lost count of what course we were up to!! Due to having a couple of drinks with each course. The last course was M&Ms in our cabin. Love your videos.

We were on the Enchanted back in August but only did the Rome - Barcelona legs of the voyage. Beautiful ship! I saw a bunch of people who were affected by the same storm on the Princess groups. That's a bummer you missed Florence, but at least you've been before, right? I have the same necklace as Mrs Canuck! ❤ I've never heard of progressive dining. Great idea! Burn off some calories between sittings. We absolutely loved this cruise. We saw so many things we've never experienced before and walked our feet off in the process. Fabulous itinerary, we so want to do it again. 😊 Thanks for the vlog, I've been enjoying watching your voyage. 🎉

@@CruisingCanucks yup! We did a few extra days in Rome before the cruise, plus the 2 weeks on ship and I LOST 2 pounds. I got several blisters from poor shoe choices and still managed to lose weight with 10k steps a day. Couldn't believe it!

More bad weather, going to Pisa, that got cancelled too. My wife was in Pisa before we met. While I like sea days don't like to have my money face the house edge too much. Like to have breakfast early. Then could walk around the ship a little then go to the gym. You got to the buffett too late. Don't like beans with breakfast. It must be a British thing. Don't eat bacon, sausage, or ham. Stormy day at sea. Ring toss game. Never ate at O'Malley's. It wasn't on the ship when I was on it. Eat a lot on sea days. The fish looks interesting. Good you are wearing a hat with a brim. Protect yourself. Mrs. Canucks, are you drinking Prosecco? Alright Mr. Canucks, drinking Prosecco!!! The pizza at Alfredo's/Gigi's is good. Don't like the Princess Pizza. Margarita Is my favorite. I might use a knife to cut it up, but, don't eat pizza with a knife and fork. They make good Calzones too. There is another pizza place near the buffett. It's called Slice. Strawberry Crepe looks interesting. Don't diet, exercise more. Dean Martin he's not. That's fine, gives you something to snack on when you get hungry.

Unfortunately bad weather changed our itinerary along with many other ships in the Mediterranean that same time. Oh well, at least we were safe and had a great day.

OMG Jerry, I love your dress shirts... Do you get them online or in Canada? On that note, when do they usually announce the dress nights? Like orange night or white night?

Most of Jerry’s shirts are from Winners or T.J Max. We don’t believe they send an official message regarding theme nights prior to your sailing date. It just shows up on the daily schedule. We can tell you that HAL has an orange night. Princess has a white and gold night. MSC has a white night. Virgin has a red night.
