It's call recurrence, you just not remembering your past lives, basically the same with some changes, but we just don't remember, but for sure you love the mood of this time. Death is just a ponctuation, we renew forever, with more knowledge, more things each time
What's funny is people think this was 1980s aesthetics, when this was just the vibe for coke-fueled millionaires in Miami and LA, but most of us just remember lots of wood paneling and leftovers from the 60s and 70s.
Even when you were in the dirt, you were still in a better state than many of us from 3rd world trash-holes. "Your shit might be gold for another man".

to everyone being nostalgic, don't forget you're living in the 20s (2020s) right now! Of course everyone is gonna say "everything sucks" and keep all the negative energy, but focus on the things that you enjoy now and make sure they aren't overclouded by the negative stuff that take up your mental bandwidth. One day in 2060, we will reflect on the 20s with nostalgia!
I think most people look back to the days of their youth with nostalgia, but we usually forget just how crap they could be at times. I grew up in the 1970s/80s, and yes we had some great times with the music and the parties, but the 1970s also remind me of 'hand me down' clothes, bland food (like fried liver) and hiding when the rent man came knocking or Radio Rentals wanted to take away the telly.
wasn't even alive back then but considering the fact that that's the time period I'd travel to if given the opportunity says something. I'd have to agree. Bands like survivor, journey, you name it. And movies like rocky and breakfast club. Man.
It's amazing how good the music is with the relatively simple technical resources that they had back in the mid 80's. I am a 44 year-old man, and I actually remember some of these songs being played on the radio when I was a little kid back in the mid to late 80's. I think that one of the biggest problems of our society today is that we have too much technology, but very little spirit. I remember when I was a little kid and teen in the late 80's and early 90's, that people were so much more united than they are now, and more sociable. We had huge circles of friends, family and pretty much all our lives were lived one-on-one. I remember that teen boys and girls would flirt publicly, and we spend most of our days with our friends actually doing physical things in the real World, and not alone checking for likes on screens. The development of the internet, cell phones and social media took away something very precious from us. The music and culture in general of the 80's and 90's were so soulful because *we* were soulful. We were intensely social beings, and the circle of people around us was everything to us. Sorry for the long diatribe. Just ramblings of an old man.
I'm 35 and lucky to have a large group of what I would describe as lifelong friends. When I explain this to other people I'm always taken aback that this is not common among my peers.
That was the most concise explanation of the magnificence of the 80s greatness. The universal draw by everyone to the 80s could come right down to yearning for soul and connection.
There spirit is all there, it's just being put into different things. I don't like it either, but in 20 years they will be nostalgic for viral tiktoks and other nonsense lol
new title: It's summer 1986, you're driving in Miami... But your car broke down and listening to your music in the cassette player till the tow truck arrives.
Born in '82, 41 now; As I'm shockin' out in my lounge, my 9yr old daughter walks in and asks... "Daddy, did you actually listen to these songs when you were young?" 🤣😂🤣. I reply; "These were the classics of my time!" As we embrace and she spends the next song dancing with me! Thanks a bunch for this mix, from the UK #Luv
The best music decade of all time . We partied, we sang, we danced, we flirted, we fell in love, we were carefree, we had true friends, we didn't have mobile phones, we lived free, we were kinds in our minds and in our hearts, we were . It was the 80s
My father was a truck driver, when I was small like 6-8 I always begged him to take me with him for a trip, I loved this so much, that’s songs was playing in his radio. Dad I love you so much!!!
My mate bought. testarossa after winning the Lottery in the 90s, we drove to our nearby beach nightclub at dusk in England and the entire street came out to look at it...the days of our lives.
My niece was born in 2003 when I was 22 years old. Now she's married and has a newborn baby. I'm the childless and childlike single woman...yet I'm the grandma. Yeeeshhh... 😅🥲😝
4 year old kid in 1986,still remember all those magical tunes...feels like all the early 80s kids we've inherited this legacy that drives us till today
Missing the 80s as a kid and the 90s as a teenager. I could cry when thinking back what a good life we had, it was magic. I would easily pay 100k to go back in the 80s for a week. Sending love to the younger generation and hopefully we'll have better times than the actual time which is the darkest since decades, even though I doubt it. Crossing fingers!
I was born in 84 but 80's music was part of my life ALWAYS. I could say that after electronic music 80's music takes the second place... there's no decade like this one.💗💗💗💗💗💗
Been trucking for 12 years now and was lucky enough to have a route from Atlanta GA all throughout Florida, and nothing beats those hot nights in December through Opa-locka and Miami shots out to them working girls on OBT in Orlando 🎉 had some fun over there 😂..........yes sir not even sorry 😊
Can someone tell me what the full title of this TR song is starting at 30:47? It sounds like one of Sandra's songs, I tried to look it up to no avail. Never heard it until now and love it - everything about it is so quintessential 80's.
my childhood music , my dad , may he rest in peace , was a fan of this type of music , man ! i feel the summer's heat just listening to it ! ps: with the last song "Illusions" , i was almost crying , i want my 80's back 😎😎

"rain downs in Africa" from TOTO should be in this already awesome list , the instrumental and the vocals in this song are very 80's great music vibes givers !
I was born in Europe in 1986, days before Chernobly nuclear disaster. So for my parents this was a very stressful summer... but still 80s was time of good music.
Hi I was born 1996 and I am from Čapljina,Croatian province of Herzegovina (between Dubrovnik and Split) and my sister is born same year as you, I used to hear lot of stories that people at that time were barricade in side their houses closing everything possible And the people said that all potatoes were rotten that year Some nice unusual comment you have so I also needed to share my unusual story what I know, even I am 10 years younger And I like the music especially from 80's and 90's love it to the bits Much greetings!
I got curious about what Miami was like back in the day, so I did a quick Google search for '1986 Miami.' Surprisingly, what I found didn't quite match the vibe of the music. 🤣
