That old roller coaster toy was cool, along with the cartoon glass cups, and old computer hardware. Nice!

I thought so too! There's always great stuff for sale at Brimfield. The trick is finding it for a good price.

I had the giant Winnebego! Oh I loved it. I even rode it down our back yard sidewalk that had a very slight slope, just enough to get gravity pull you with a good push off. It eventually was nearly destroyed. But boy did I love it. So much interstesting stuff at all the flea markets you visit, Tom. They are like pop culture history museums.

I loved going to flea markets with my mom when I was a child. You just don't see as many around anymore. The closest one that I know of to me now is the County Line Flea Market in Forest, VA a good 1 hr 30 min away. Even the Virginia Bazaar was shut down.

There's a lot in my area, luckily. I'm surprised there aren't a lot in VA too. Thanks for watching!

Those dwarfs are really perfume bottles. They were produced in Estonia when it was still part of the USSR. It seems that they were produced from 1960 to 1980 and were also exported.

We had seen that Skee-Ball sign when we were there the same days as you. I had tried talking my wife into buying it, but she wouldn't go for it. Plus the depth of it was a turn-off. We were at Stormville today. Did you go? It was much hotter than I was expecting.

My parents were antique dealers but my dad still worked in one of the Detroit auto plants also. This was many years ago. My mom had 3 ladies in 1 neighborhood she would buy from! Glass, advertising items, you name it. Us 3 kids would sit in the car for hours listening to the radio. She would come out with all kinds of treasures. They had so many beautiful and collectable things. They passed a few years ago. I got alot of things but since i am a collector also had to sell quite a bit. My grandparents were junk dealers but had alot of beautiful and collectable items also. They had a Sanford and Son truck which grandma painted dark blue with a paint brush! I miss them and my parents!

Rainbow Brite dolls can pull in up to $275 online? Wow...who'da thought that?! They are that nostalgic? Popular? Rare? Guess I don't get it. Wasn't my era, but still...of all the dolls that have come and gone, I don't get the draw of that one, as many other more iconic dolls don't even pull in lots these days. Thought it was funny you actually were thinking about it. Anyhow...another good video...was glad to see more of a variety of items in this one.
@fleabittenadventures
@fleabittenadventures 5 дней назад
Yup, I've seen a few that have sold on eBay for $250 to $275, but they were in mint condition. Rainbow Brite's not super nostalgic to me, but I definitely remember her from the 80's. I would imagine women my age probably have more nostalgia for her than me though.

Hi Tom. Proud you got those Star Trek plates. I'm a big fan of the original series. I would have gotten them myself if I had been there. I had one of those Tonka Winnabagos when I was a kid in the early 70s. Mine came with a dog and a man and woman doll. I'm looking for a replacement of it now. But they are pricey in mint condition. Thanks for the tour.

It's been my past experience at Brimfield that if you pass on an item and hope it going to be there at the next show, it most often isn't. Better bet is to find it at another flea market and hopefully you will get a better deal on it.

I've been collecting old pop bottles since I was a kid and most of the glass manufacturers put the year it was made on the bottom. Most from 40's 50's 60's will have a two digit number of the year it was made.😁

Tom , if your 8mm films are giving off an odor could you put them in vacuum sealed bags like those He man figures and still use then for display .

@eaglerider1826

@@fleabittenadventures I'm not an expert but the lack of air should stop the process . I have some expensive magazines and comics that I vacuum sealed to keep from turning brown . It has worked for over 15 years for me .
@mgratk
@mgratk 8 дней назад
@@eaglerider1826 The film is cellulose acetate, and typically once it starts to smell like vinegar the degradation can't be slowed, it actually speeds up, probably from the acid released. Cool and dry storage is the best option for film in good shape. Heat and humidity are bad. I'm no expert, I was curious and read up for about 10 minutes on a few film preservation sites. They talk a lot about transferring to digital to save what's on the film. So that isn't a good sign for physical preservation.
