You want a animated comic book team adventure that does space adventure well? Check out “Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes”, a Gendy Tartakovsky joint No joke, an excellent contender for a react watch when you have an animated slot
As someone who's Jewish, Magneto specifically using the word "pogrom" is so affecting. And I love Storm's reaction to The Phoenix. And we’re even getting Nate Grey! I guess we also know how Gambit’s coming back. Next season is going to be _wild!!!_ Angel was also on Genosha in episode 5.
@mr.b3168 the best way I can think to describe it is it’s basically a lynch mob that aims to kill or chase off a specific group of people, typically Jewish people. It’s a Russian word whose use leaked into English around the 19th century when the Russian Empire was doing a lot of them
As a gay man x-men had an important role in my growing process. It had such an appeal to me saying that different is good and beautiful and should be accepted but also warning that the acceptance process would not be ease it would be a fight. That taught me soooo much and helped me prepare myself for it. Luckly my family was very accepting and always made me feel normal
Wait, you don’t know what peacocking is? That’s so weird 😂 Putting on a show, basically. Being flashy. Angel/Archangel was in the original, and in one episode he’s identified as an eventual member of the X Men, so that can still get paid off. And with Apocalypse being set up for S2 it’s the perfect opportunity DeMayo said on X that Peter did in fact find MJ DeMayo’s only fans was non explicit but apparently still not liked by Disney, and he was difficult to work with. One of the exec producers said the studio parted ways with him, instead of firing. So I guess that means it could’ve been mutual? 🤷♂️
Graydon Creed was mentioned on the radio near the end of the episode. He was implied to have been killed by his father Sabertooth in the original series. His mother is Mystique, also. I wonder...
You just know nightcrawler was sitting there praying with Magento and the professor, it probably scared the shit out of him when Magento woke up like that lmao
One thing you have to know about Captain America: when it comes to mutants he turns into a spineless soldier boy. Call it a failure of the writers or his character but he consistently lets the x-men and mutantkind down in major stories.
@@mihailoveselinovic7151 I do like the imagery of the star-spangled bootlicker but to be fair to Cap fans, he's not supposed to represent America as it is, warts and all, but rather what America could be (in the same way Superman doesn't present a realistic benchmark of human morality, but rather a goal to strive for). Ymmv on whether the metaphor is outdated or overly optimistic.
@cthulhuwu_ I think it's more just X-Men writers find him an easy target given what he represents on the surface, so even though in his own books he'd most definitely be on the mutants' side, he gets flanderized to become a jerk in their stories. GodzillaMendoza has talked about it a few times, where heroes guest starring in other characters' books tend to be put down to make the protagonists look better.
@@brycebitetti1402 Problem with mutant stories is that, they really can be a threat to humanity, but the humanity is an active threat to them too... So really that fear gap is not bridged and cap, as a superhero of a human appointed government doesn't have much choice in the matter. My comment was a snarky joke to US not cap himself and his character .But cap is the superhero that is as close as you can get to a US soldier and it's expected of him to play it safe and by the books when it comes to situations like these. I'd love to see him and other supers go rogue and undercover, against judgment of their government and follow their own judgment. Having to show multiple sides of morality from both mutants and humans in significant events would be true to what xmen stands for anyways.

What do you mean, Cap has famously gone rogue against the US government multiple times, most notably in the Marvel Civil War events but even in his own storylines he's never been a rule follower.
So, did the UN and the US gov had a plan for after the magneto protocols hit the asteroid? They are all shocked pikachu face that the asteroid is falling
I think that was Steve Roger’s point about not knowing enough and how the attack could do more harm than good. They successfully stopped the gravity core from being used to fire on Earth, but the asteroid wasn’t actually in orbit and the gravity core was holding it up. Oopsie.
Wolverine and the X-Men was pretty good. I didn’t finish it yet but one season of it seemed like just the right amount. The original animated series has my heart and 97 did a stellar job of continuing the series. It elevated it to another level and I love the X-Men so much more now than I did before.
@@SeanTanktop They filmed the interiors of the store on the same sound stage they used for Eric’s apt. in The Crow. His motorcycle sat just outside the soundstage for years propped against a power pole. The day they filmed the scene with the gunshot was super tense, but was otherwise a nice gig. Allen Moyle owned a Rolls at the time and was having trouble finding a mechanic, so told him there’s a Rolls dealership in High Point, NC. The store exteriors were shot at 15 S. Front St. in downtown Wilmington, NC.
Naztradamix has that GIMMIE MORE X-MEN 97 I NEED ANOTHER HIT BABY look on his face (& I don't blame them) Great to take this journey with THE BEST REACTION POLYCULE THERE IS CAUSE THAT'S MY HEADCANON.
I’ve never wanted a second season so badly before. The end credit scenes got me hooked even more. We’re gonna get Gambit back by him being reborn as Death one of Apocalypse’s Four Horsemen. They’re going to delve more into the Nathan/Cable and Apocalypse story. Im so pumped. They’re so much lore to be shown. The whole time Mr Sinister knew Cable was the key to defeat Apocalyps and that’s why he tried to protect him with the mutated techno virus. But failing to do so, limits Cables powers and hobbled him. It’s going to be exciting As f*ck!!!! The Cameos were insane. It means Peter found MJ. Whic was the cliffhanger for that whole series. We got Cloak and Dagger!!!! Dr Strange and Daredevil. Black Panther and the whole of Wakanda. We got the 90s Iron Man finally. Which means we may end up with the Onslaught arc in season 3 or after they redo and redux all the 90s Marvel Animared shows. This show was a 11/10. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I want a continuation of the various animated shows so bad. The Iron Man was the 90s Iron Man pre death and creation of War Machine. There wasn’t a 60s Iron Man. There was a 60s Spider Man and his friends. I still have the XMen series in the tapes I recorded it on.
As a long time X-men fan and a fan of this series in particular, nothing after episode 5 hit as hard. I feel like the showrunner had to promise more nostalgia-bait in order to get the greenlight for the deaths of Gambit and seemingly Magneto. I'm particularly unimpressed with how short-sighted Bastion was and how weak the primes were compared to Trask. Not to quote Mojo, but 'STAKES' were never as high as they were in episode 5. I appreciate the way that Bastion's politics mirror those of the far right, but he's making unforced errors that make him less scary. The acting and animation remain top notch but I was hoping for the show to keep its edge. Instead, it ended on a crowd-pleaser.
Ithink that gambit is going to be one of the horsemen but also maybe apocalypse is getting other mutants that died on genocia like Sebastian Shaw, calypso, maybe wolverine or even leech
