Thank you for checking this out. I have been following most of these musicians for some time (since some of them were little kids), and its wonderful to see them together. Most exciting new band I've seen in some years. I hope they stick together for a long time.
Hi from France: Wakazeamon is a support musician, she is not credited as a full member of the band. And precisely, I think that this band is missing a regular bassist. On this song, Kanade's playing is simply spectacular, all in subtlety and complexity which gives a very 70's color to this song even more than the guitars (which are superb, but we knew that!) Koiai, the Elegant, the Student, the Librarian and the Taciturn... Enjoy !!!
You mentioned 80's sound, funny, I hear Steely Dan 73-77. It has that Fagen/Becker jazz/rock production value and I hear Gadd, Carleton & Dias. Just a brilliantly written song and performance. Thanks for the reaction.
When this band does even pop/rock, it is still done so well, and cathy as well. Everyone thinks verse intro is same as ACDC , but it is moe Queen, but exactly same , no. not legally actionable , as they say in the biz. Perfect pop/rock hit for US, if they would let them in the gate. One Way Or Another (no not that 80's song either.) > ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nQOhmO7Af2I.html
Wakazaemon is not an official permanent member of the band. She played with them when they recorded their live BluRay and was the recording bassist for some of their most recent songs. She is phenomenal, for sure. I would love to see more of her with KOIAI and East of Eden. KOIAI has released two EPs and announced a third EP is on the way.
Super group. This sounds to me in the same vain as Steely Dan and Toto just putting Koiai in the same sentence as these two is all the praise needed .I am following them closely they are just superb . Great reaction look forward to see more Koiai and Nemophila from you.
Hello! I always enjoy watching your videos. Many people post reaction videos, but I like your videos the most and love them! I've become your fan! I'll continue to support you. By the way, my favorite band is EAST OF EDEN!
Even though you can most definitely hear Wakazaemon on the bass, she's not on the video because she's not an official member of the band, she's "just" a support bassist.
The line “come see me,” makes me think of Mae West. It’s a great song. KAKANDE’s drumming scrambles my brain. For something completely different, try A NEW PICTURE (live).
