KASJLSAK i'm sorry im so excited for this movie. This book is my fav in the whole saga so i needed to edit it. This book felt very different from what I usually read, because it was from the pov of one of the villains that I hate the most in the future, but it was AMAZING! i was really obsessed when it came out SKJISLDJ
this book is so tragic...im gonna be depressed when the movie premieres. Also not them making Coriolanus hot...that's illegal.

I don't think he loved power more than Lucy, but I think he needed power more than Lucy. We clearly saw that Snow was never fully happy in his life in the Capitol, he even got worse and worse while trying to convince himself that his life had a use but in reality the real moments when we saw Snow happy and smiling is when he was with Lucy. And the mystery of whether she died or survived will haunt him for the rest of his life because I think deep down he didn't want her to die but he doesn't know what she is actually became. It's also at this time upon his return from district 12 that there is no longer a soul of kindness from him and even Tigris tells him you are exactly like your father.

@@chaosspy6723Tigris loved him , (unconfirmed) possibly his mother probably loved him but he didn’t remember , in the book he mentions some of the capitol mentors being his close friends aka caring for him (Festus, Clemensia, Lysistrata) , Sejanus cared for him . He had plenty of examples of people fully or partially looking out for him and caring for him long before Lucy Grey entered the picture. His brain is probably just messed up due to genetics or trauma from the dark days so he doesn’t feel love /emotions/ empathy like a normal person.

I’m so obsessed with this story 🤩 started reading after the trailer dropped even though I only ever watched thg movies haha gonna read them after as well because the writing is so good! I’m super excited especially since I love a good villain and the prequel gives so much context to Snow and Katniss’ future relationship (LUCY HAUNTING HIM FROM THE GRAVE) it’s poetic 🤭

I know it’s just a vague theory, but imagine of how ironic would be if Katniss was actually Coriolanus’s granddaughter… Lucy Gray had the bravery to give birth to the son (Katniss father I believe, from the book it’s said he had a beautiful voice, similar to Lucy) of the man she used to trust and love, and that son eventually found love himself and brought Katniss and Primrose to the world. I believe Snow thought that Katniss reminded him a lot of Lucy, that’s why he was so obsessed with her, but I just can imagine his reaction if he had found out somehow that the girl he mentally destroyed and tried to kill several times was actually his granddaughter with Lucy Gray😮😅😊 But as I said, this is just a theory, but man, it would be so great if it was true.

A Ballad has two meanings:- 1st a poem or song narrating a story in short stanzas. Traditional ballads are typically of unknown authorship, having been passed on orally from one generation to the next. 2nd a slow sentimental or romantic song. “It's the things we love most, that destroy us.” and Snow was so very right.

It's brilliant! I have no other words. So many parallels, the scenes, voice overs and the song - everything put together so well. The moment 0:43 - 0:48 after the "you hear that boy... It's the sound of snow... falling" is so on point with the music. My favourite moment from edit! You're even have the captions!

SO GOOD! I just watched the movie last night (I was supposed to go last Friday when it opened but I got into friend drama and the person I was going to go with didn’t want to go with me) and it was amazing. It was a little sillier than the other movies (although I found the book pretty disturbing) and felt like they were trying very hard to have the PG-13 rating, I felt lots of emotions. The sweet girl with Down syndrome from District 8 (?) was so cute and I was so upset when she died, especially since she was obviously younger than the other tributes. The story was heartbreaking and most of the acting was phenomenal. Great movie!

I coined a phrase after watching and reading the book. "Girls don't realize what power they hold." I mean, think about it. Snow's rise to power all began with her. He wanted the power his family once had. But didn't know how to gain it back. Then, she arrived. The "original katniss" so to speak. People fell over heels about her. So, he exploited that. Over time, the power she basically handed over to him got him to where he is now. Then, she disappeared and he couldn't stop fretting over her. Then, 64 years later, potentially her offspring came into light and the memory of her just came flooding back. Like I said, "girls don't realize what power they hold." I'm not saying all men exploit women for their own gain, but I'm saying that most men will not stop thinking about that one girl who got away.

@dejavugadson6836 Did you watch the movie? Sejanus got killed because Snow ratted him out to the capitol. He wasn't stupid, there's no other punishment for treason. It wasn't about him not interfering when he was about to get hanged, it was about his betrayal leading him to be hanged in the first place. Furthermore, before Snow shoots the girl, he was planning on leaving Lucy behind to head to District 2. It was always power > love to him. Hadn't he gotten involved in all that, he'd have dipped from district 12 in 2 seconds with or without Lucy, the man HATED that place. He only accepted escaping with her because he was afraid of getting killed too
