You did you got 7 years out of it. Now that ATX 3.0 came out, you don't feel bad for over spending on an outdated power supply. Last but not least, 650w was never really going to cover you for the long run. We get generations of cards that reduce power consumption then the next gen there is a big jump in power consumption. I would say 850w and up is needed to future proof. Unless you go 4080 or 4090, then you got enough money to buy a new power supply anyway.
The "review" feels very sponsored... well it obviously is, but nevertheless... e.g. "Awesome sleeve with the cables" (wow? a 15cent polyester sack?), everything is "really really nice". It surely is nice but it's a bit over the top.

I have not seen 144hz at 1440p in Hogwarts with a 4080, I wanted to ask if you don't mind answering is what parts did you pair this rtx 4080 with anyways? I, which I am a owner of the rtx4080, am upgrading my cpu that I build in the pc about 4 to 5 years ago now. The Ryzen 2700x and I definitely see cpu bottlenecking with the 4080 due to it's elevated performance and the age and strain that the 2700x is having on some of the newer titles at 1440p.
@@sniper2771 I have the 4080 paired with the 5900X, at 1440P I am having full GPU utilization in 9/10 titles. This might not be the scenario you pointed to, but some people has pointed out 5800x3D or bottleneck. I am reaching my 165Hz/fps anyway so far I am happy. Funny side note; I did gain 7-9fps upgrading to the ATX 3.0 5gen PSU. Before I used two PCIe connectors, and one was daisy-chained.
