If you have this sensitivity depending on how sensitive you are with energy’s and emotion you can be considered an empath I have it and it’s a supernatural thing I’ve had it since I was a kid also empaths have this sensitivity you can feel different spirits kinda like psychic but I’m babbling I just wanted to say I have no friends like me and would love to have some ugh I hate long posts I should probably shut up now lol
My god, Annie Mac you are the most compassionate and understanding interviewer I’ve come across in a long time! You listen to a persons words, not just to reply but to truly listen. You let Flo speak uninterrupted with your full undivided attention. You should be a therapist :P
It's interesting to hear from a huge star like Florence that she is being inspired by so many young people being engaged and capable and comfortable in themselves. Self-fulfilling prophecy? Humble and smart artists like her are part of the reason youth are comfortable and engaged.
I totally get what she means about emotions being too much. Maybe that's why I love her music so much, you can feel all the heart and emotional baggage that is behind each song.
"hunger" is honestly the realest and most lyrically brilliant song that has been released recently. florence has this wisdom and depth of mind that i think people who can't relate to her music or don't enjoy her voice don't understand because she is so unconventional and so unique. personally, "hunger" is my favourite song of 2018 and it is so, so relatable. "sky full of song" is amazing as well, but the lyrics in "hunger" are just something else. i like the way that she talks about this "deeper heartbreak" found underneath some more surface-y issue (might be in p3 of this set of videos, i'm not sure). she's honestly so great at putting difficult thoughts into eloquent sentences (and lyrics), i love how her thoughts just roam wildly, and i think that this album is going to be brilliant.
She means so much to me. I'm so glad to see she's in a better place. I always loved her music even it's so sad. But from the singles so far they might be my favourite Florence song
I love how she’s so comfortable with being vulnerable and talking about personal issues right at the start. She skips the small talk and dives straight into it

she said the same thing about the song 'various storms and saints' and how she didn't want to release that song either because of how personal it is. i love that she did anyway, because i love both songs, and the fact that they are rather personal to her makes them even more relatable and more loveable.
@@smendrich agreed. It's a serious disease, with often tragic consequences. I didn't make the connection between 'peak mad' and addiction...if that's what she meant by it (perhaps something was lost in translation as I'm not English), agreed not delightful at all. Florence does have a way of being in the world which is ethereal and magical. That sensitivity comes across in her music as well...she seems like a lovely person. Anyway, have a good day :)

I love hunger so much. It has come at the best time for me as I'm truely embracing my past and the effect it has had on my mental health. Especially the first few lines, as I stopped eating to try and control something about my life and to hide the loneliness and lack of love. Ironically, I can no longer feel food hunger as a result. Thank you so much for this interview, it is beautiful to hear Florence talk about the music that touches me.

Man, I'm also very sensitive. I compose too, or at least try. And I also need reading and quiet time, which doesn't quite go well with all the rush at College and the city. I also have a lot of things trapped inside and I am quite sure ALOT of people out there feel the same way. I think we just need to fight back a bit, in the sense that we need to do like Florence and own our space and silence with more certainty. It is definitely a challenge of being artistic, sensitive, creative and anxious. Anyone? Hugs from Brazil
I relate so much to this and it's comforting that so many people on here also relate. Feeling deeply can be isolating, but it is not a wrong way to be, and we aren't alone. And I relate to what she says about putting things in song is a safe place, once I make something into an art piece it finally feels solid and dealt with

I think with big groups of people, you have the ability to hide and still be separated. Big groups of people have each other so the focus isn't always on you but a small group, a lot of focus is on you and you cannot hide.

There’s so many people that think if I have this person or if I’m in this relationship or if I could just figure out myself and love myself, that that’s going to fix everything but really it won’t. When you surrender all that loneliness and self hate to God, you’ll reserve abundant and unconditional love. He’ll let you make the choice to get your heart broken but He’ll always be there to mend it when you ask Him.
it's so nice to see how she's such a virgo and how her aries north node comes more and more in the forefront. she's aslo probably a cancer rising (maybe aquarius)... ok that was probably kinda weird but I love her sm!!! 💕💕 she's one of those ppl that give me some hope in humanity and that there are some decent ppl left, I just feel like wanting to get to know her so bad.
