I like how the two other people in this clearly don't care about the cause. They are dismissive about the issue of redheads being bullied. At the end, the host mocks the entire issue of hair color. That's the problem redheads face; it's a joke to people. It's not funny.
Yea the interviewer was really rude and the other guy dismissive aswell, sigh stupid people, GINGERPRIDE. When I was 12 a girl came and said I had carrot hair, and looked like she waited for my to cry or something.. I wanted to say Yup, and you have shit coloured hair, but I didnt and just laughed and laughed, haha, she went away.
And if I did say shit colured hair back, I woulve been called a racist cuz shes arab, sooo thats the thing with being a ginger folks can bully you but youve got "white privelege" so no one cares
I was never made fun of my red hair. But unfortunately it's not the same for other guys. Red hair runs in my family and I'm proud it. People who make fun of people with red hair are just pathetic.
I really hate that redheads get discriminated against all the time but because that type of discrimination doesn't have a name (like racism or racism or homophobia), it's pushed aside as it's not seen as serious enough. People like this insist that it's not bullying or wrong, and that it's just a joke but the thing is: if you said (for example) people of colour have no soul, or homosexuals have no soul.. there would be an absolute uproar! But whenever 'gingers have no soul' comes up, people say to 'take a joke' and they don't see it as a real issue... Normally, bully victims could go to a teacher or talk to their friends about what their going through but many feel like they can't because people INSIST that it's not bullying! It's really unfair because they suffer with no one to turn to and no one that understands how much it hurts. Just, please, think the next time you 'joke' about it because you could just be the 60th person who's 'joked' about it that day...
Research why the UK has such a high suicide rate of men, you will see a direct link to red hair abuse. Absolutely shocking and disgusting that a first world country cannot get the basics of enforcing it's laws right!
I guess it's cuz gingers are also white to. they are not a different race. it's kinda similar to how black people make fun of extra dark skinned black people. people don't see it as big of a problem when it's within a group but your right, it's still not cool and must hurt just as much.
I wanted to dye my red hair up until I was about 15 or 16. Thankfully I never did because I am proud of it nowadays. But I did get bullied in school for being a ginger. It's always important to remember that one can get bullied for just about any trait. I've either partook, observed, or experienced bullying over hair color, skin color, how one dresses, wearing glasses, hobbies, gender, weight... I never realized the hypocrisy in it and truly rise above it until I was out of high school, because I've dished it out too. I believe its equally important to understand the reason to bully someone as it is to ensure the victim understand the bully is far from being just. Those who bullied me just for my hair and freckles intended to make me feel like a lesser person because of the way I am. And on at least a couple of occasions I may have been convinced.
I almost killed myself due to people bullying me for so many years and telling me to kms. I'm 14. If you say half the things that people say to gingers to another race/minority it would be so messed up. Like "hey black kid, you should change the color of ur skin bc it's so ugly!" Like uhhhm noo that's not right but apparently it's ok to say it to a person who has red hair. I hope y'all feel confident and just know u are so beautiful and amazing ❤
I just don´t understand and probably never will, why would someone bully someone, just because of their hair color. I mean, having naturally red hair is like having, dark, brown or blonde hair. It doesn´t makes any difference whatsoever. Is just hair and a simple color. That´s it. It´s stupid and ignorant. I wish i had red hair with freckles is beautiful and unique.

As a redhead I’ve been bullied for my hair. when I was 9 I never understood what the problem with it was or why people didn’t like it. I was told boys wouldn’t find me as attractive as my friends. That my pale skin looked sickly. My hair is curly so it draws even more attention because its poofy and stands out among my family. Now I’m 16 and I still don’t 100% like my hair or skin. I don’t always feel comfortable when in a group of my friends even though they have no problem with me their all tan and pretty. But I wouldn’t dye it because it wouldn’t be me and I’m learning to just be okay with it.
Who says tan or no tan is better. People need to realise tan means your skin has been damaged from the sun. I’m from Australia and people don’t actively get tans hear cos were educated about skin cancer

I got mocked for being ginger throughout my secondary school years. In primary school, we did an exercise of what we were scared about secondary school and I said that I was scared of being bullied for having ginger hair. I got mean looks from classmates saying that I was stupid and it wasn't going to happen, but it did.
I once went somewhere and there were many people like: "Oh you have so beautiful hair. Don't ever colour it!" That really made me proud of being a ginger.

I had all that too. And I promise the next person that calls me a name based on my hair color other than my name will get worse than they gave me. Brunettes bully will get why did you rub your hair in poop? Blond will get Why did you pee on your hair. Don't take the name calling. Set them straight.

I really love that Thomas Knights (Very gorgeous by the way)did this for red haired men. Always have had a thing for red headed men but rarely saw them in the media or real life. Now it seems there has been an uptick in hot ginger men which is so refreshing.
here in Brazil we really like red hairs. one of our child stars is ginger by the way. Also one of our main childrens literature character seems to be a red hair doll called Emília from "Sítio do Pica Pau Amarelo". Hope to see more of you around here :)
Judge Jury i am a redhead, i got a ginger pass ;) and calm down, i consider the word playful but if it is generally regarded as disrespectful we should change that because it is a fairly innocent word.

I'm pretty sure it came from Britain, where redheads are bullied really bad. And that's probably why the word 'ginger' carries its negative connotation. If you really feel the need to describe me by my hair color, I prefer 'redhead'.
I was teased/bullied when I grew up. I was always joked for how ugly I was and how I couldnt take a joke 18 years later, I still feel that I am ugly and not good enough for anyone Joking anout people can be fun, humour is good and all. But when it goes to fare, you lag the awareness of a siguation, it can damage a person for genereations to come. The scar goes deeper and it mentally will break you at some point

Ginger American Guy here. After watching a bunch of videos on RU-vid, Europeans seem to have a bigger dislike for gingers than Americans. I would love to hear from some Europeans on this subject to see if it's true or not and their feedback.
I'm from Wales and I've been bullied more for my weight than hair but only by a little and this upper class man called me ginger a lot and his ginger hair made me feel inferior "seriously" it did I even told him his hair was more ginger than mine "he was not happy lol" he even had his friends repeatedly kicked me in the butt till I crashed a lesson and told the teacher to tell them to pack it in he got kicked out of school lol I think the poor guy was bullied a lot for his hair and his friends helped him kick my but because of kick a ginger day so that he didn't have to feel like he'd always get the lower end of it all the time by it happening to someone else instead of him. but I think discrimination by weight was more popular in my school though, and racism as well since coloured people are also rather rare in the UK. I used to get called ginger by young speeding drivers a few years ago as well. and this guy in college who was ginger short skinny glasses and "smokes and has asthma" (great combination XD) he dated and had sex with every girl in my class ecsept for one because she had disabilities and another but at least fingered her but God knows why, she was ugly and a c**t he would even beat them in public it's completely ok if you don't believe me but it did but I suppose I should mention I was in a college course for people who didn't do well in school so I guess these girls were all body no brains lol XD. I've also been bullied in my kung fu class the instructor was cockney and it was more like military training lol but these two red head girls physically bullied me I think it was because of my height and red hair there's nothing more painful than to be bullied by your own hommies :( ( but I wouldn't have minded having the angriest one in bed tho ;) ) but yeah I think they were bullied in school for being gingers so I think that's why they took it out on me. I've seen 2 tall ginger men with 2 tall hot women in Asda store at the same time which was great and a ginger man with a Muslim woman who wore a burka holding hands which was such a beautiful thing to see since people also stereotype Muslims to be terrorist (which is retarded or else they would just all be called Isis instead) so yeah in my experience only young and stupid or people with emotional issues even thinks of red hair in a negative cense most people don't judge you on hair "if anything" it's weight or clothing they judge you on the most in my area perhaps because there are quite a few red heads in North Wales or something.
Robert Roberts I've heard about the kick a ginger day but, that didn't exist when I was in school (I'm 36). I think it's interesting that there's gingers that seem to be self loathing. I find that shocking and confusing.
Im a ginger(English). I only ever got teased, not 'bullied'. After about 12 or so, I just let it shape my personality, which boosted my confidence greatly. However, I do get people telling me I'm cuter than most other ginger guys(God knows why). Anyway, those above 15 just ignore it in Europe, it no longer becomes a problem. Hope that helps
I'm 6 foot and have been tall my whole life and i got it worse than the other ginger kid in my class because I stuck out more. Also the interviewer was clearly a bully when he was younger and is part of the problem.
There was a ginger family in Newcastle that had to move because they were discriminated against so much. They had bricks thrown through windows and their cars were destroyed. I am ginger and in the past have been bullied and made fun of for my hair. Why would anyone do that? You wouldn’t go up to someone with black hair and say “haha you have black hair,” would you? Why is it ok to bully someone for it? It’s all well and good having a joke but there’s having a joke and then there’s bullying. There was even a judge in Ireland who sentenced a ginger man to a few years in prison for murder because he believed his hair colour gave him a temper that made him kill someone. In folklore in some places, gingers are seen as witches. Seriously, it’s stupid. If you make a joke about my hair, I don’t mind. If you give me a hard time over it, I will.
Our assembly was about discrimination and the headmaster finished with the line ‘ don’t bully someone who is not like you ‘ I literally got called a Weasley by a group of year 9s on the way out
Gingers are rare because both parents have to have the gene for the baby to be ginger I’m proud I was lucky enough to get that. What I say to people who insult me for my lovely hair, I say “ ahha at least I’m not a boring *insert*hair*colour*”

Give yourself credit, Michelle!! Redheads are stunningly beautiful!! I have a few red haired female friends, and when I see them, I always give them hugs, when the situation permits!! I always compliment them, and I love to make them laugh, by doing impressions of cartoon characters!! When you compliment them and make them laugh, they will become very friendly, and open up to you!! Take care Michelle, and have an appreciation for your red hair!!
I used to bully some folks back in my high school days and among them was a ginger girl, she often cried with tears due to this and sometimes did complain to the principal but I kept on bullying her and others whom I consider "low", however, time passes by and so our high school was over ...... 2 years ago kind of 8 years after my high school was over I found that very same ginger girl now turned into a lovely woman who was one of my victims in high school at a Diner and we had a chat that turns out to be too quite long and interesting, now I am happily married to that very same woman and Love her from the dept of my heart.
The worst part of being a redhead is if you get even the slightest bit annoyed at the constant exhausting 😴 stupid ass jokes about your hair color, then you are labeled as being angry, thus perpetuating yet another stereotype of the 'fiery temper.'

I'm from northwest of Pittsburgh in a conglomeration of small towns...went to a high school with approximately 600 students...never had a comment made to me; never was the butt of any jokes and never bullied.

My brother, mother, and my own red hair all got darker as we got older. I was often bullied for my hair. But it is equally true that if someone wanted to have a go at me they would use “red hair” as a way in. Like having a dig at someone for being tall or short.
The young generation now is not more excepting of gingers AT ALL!!! I make up 1% of the population I have red hair and blue eyes it rocks when I’m not being bullied for it or asked out by random guys or when people randomly come up and touch my hair telling me never to dye it etc but other than that it’s awesome
I was born with bright red hair but as I've gotten older it's darkened into a lovey shade of auburn, just these thick, firey, silky waves. I love it and I'd never trade it for anything. I have gotten some mean comments, and one time when I wasn't in the sun (so I don't know if they were aware they were sitting next to a ginger or not), there were a couple of girls who literally had an HOUR LONG conversation about how they hate gingers right next to me. I always get called Ed Sheeran or Ron Weasley and people on the internet tell me to kms. People waste energy and time hating me for my hair color. When I'm an old lady and the vibrant red turns white I will dye my hair bright colors because it's just a part of who I am!

It's insulting how MSM are completely dismissive of this issue regarding the verbal abuse gingers get through the majority of their childhood. It can be crushing for the individual. People talk about racism constantly and yet this issue is never discussed publicly. I guess it's just not a vote winner.
