“It was getting dark quick. AND I had to go feed…”. Like it has nothing to do with it getting dark and being afraid of the dark and the woods… 😂. JK, I would be afraid too!
It's the unplanned or unexpected moments that are good for you to leave in your vids. Life is about challenges & most of the time we fail, but we learn. Keeping your vids real is such a treat. Thanks💜
🤣 im in stitches, the bag breaking, slipping over ..... this is exactly the sort of things that would happen to me 😂 yet you always seem in a good mood no matter what goes wrong. My son loves watching the videos with me. He's only 10 and has helped out on a farm a few times as did I as a child. He wants to be a farmer when he grows up and has said this since very young. Thanks for your videos and making us all smile 😁
It's really been great watching you grow as a filmmaker or content creator. Your efforts are truly shining through your vids. Getting all those shots have got to be a pain in the a$$ but it makes a much more entertaining view. Your doing a great job buddy.
Jake I've watched other pages of people doing farm stuff but your real not fake you don't delete all your mishaps and those other pages I'm yawning the first 10 minutes I love watching you .hope you catch some hogs excited to see if you do.
Jake, You are a good Young man and I think we all know what kind of a father you are making!!!! It’s a wonderful beautiful family y’all have, Bre Bre, Remember Jake it is up to you to show her what kind of man she deserves and she has always at
Wow.. will those panels and t posts hold a wild hog? The one Lester caught in that trap looked like he would have run right through those panels! Good luck amigo😬👍
You are such a nice guy Jake, I love how you teach so many ways to catch the hog, and your fishing videos. People may get upset with me for this question but is there a different taste to a wild hog then the store bought stuff raised on a farm. ( Pork producers ) I know there sure is from deer meat wild to store bought, same with rabbit. I do not like store bought rabbit or fish really.
Yes. There is a difference in taste, not so desirable. The Arms Homestead Channel did a wild boar catch, clean and cook if you want to check it out. Don't tell Pig Trudy.😀
Heheh, just commented on another comment about being another Canadian hooked... But she was from another province, I am from Brantford, ON so pretty close to you! Wonder if its the Texas weather or the animals/ farm work that get us hooked on these videos!!
Good morning Jake! Saw you commented on the channel with 5 thing we didn’t know 😂 Full name Shirtless Jacob 🤣 That’s gotta be someone that haven’t seen ANY of the family channels! Anyhow.. Looks like a great trap! You guys should all SHOUT-OUT for Bre, I’ve had to catch up on her videos since yesterday, I didn’t realise until then that she came over to YT too 😳😂 Glad she did!
Maybe next one you could use a piece of PVC around the T-Post to give you that smooth surface. It wouldn't matter which way you drive the post next time. It also won't put wear & tearon the strap from rubbing against the metal! Just sn Idea 💡 for the next one!
You need to be like PawPaw carry tools in your side by side for any situation while you do your project. Wish you luck in catching your feral hogs🐖🐖🐖❤️
Awesome job Jake ! I watch arms family homestead and they have someone come out and setup professional traps … heck yours is just as good homemade ! Oh and I hope you aren’t too sore from the fall 🤣… have a good wkend!
🤠💜from Dallas. 🤠WOW Jake. So interesting. You are so good at everything you do. Amazing 💙 but - I really enjoyed you “ thinking” Looking good Jake ! 🤠💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Good trap you should use some fishing line tho for the door trap to have a good trigger when they come in you can have it lower so they have to cross it coming in instead of that big rope lol. If it don't work tho you can put a post next to the funnel point were they can in at and try to but a door to the ground were they have to go through so it's like dog door put a trap door they can go in and not come out lol
Let's hope your trap works this time jake as you always put a lot of effort in but they out smart you.. 😉 never mind the corn splitting it gives them more to eat & let their gaurd down. Good luck fingers crossed 🤞 🤔🤪
Thanks for the info can use that ideal here in our rescue farm for catching animals instead of buying a large live trap easier to store also. Thank you Jake
Awesome Jake. Nothing about hunting is easy and that trap is super! I think you tiny mistake was just human. If you cant laugh at yourself ect life is to serious. Cant wait till you catch a big ol hog! ;)
It'd amazing to me that you know so much about outdoor life and survival stuff. You even found a bucket in the woods so resourceful. I know you saw it when driving in there but I look at it as myself. I would of drove in sae a bucket in the woods and then totally forget that I saw it or where it would be lol 😆 if something was going to happen to the world a zombie apocalypse or something I know who I'm picking for my survival team. 😆
Are you from the city? I think it has lots to do with country life, maybe not tho.. just from my experience I grew up in country although I live in a city now, I have a wealth of knowledge that helps with fixing my home, yard, and coming up with contraptions to help fix issues with as little money as necessary hahha
@@brianaizquierdo521 hehe, I think being in the country just leaves us with more time to entertain ourselves and more land or issues to try and have come up with ways to fix it.. Bet if we got you out there for a week, you would be doing the same hahha no questions asked! By the way your pic looks great, haha totally off topic but deserves being said :)
@@brandip2446 I wish I lived on the country. I'm over city life. I just want to be outdoors in the land with animals and cool things to do. I love watching all the morrows. I always want to go there and be apart of the shit show. Lol Thanks for the compliment. Yours looks good too. 💜
Good morning good morning Jake You are something else You got a good good personality I wish you were around here in Saint Petersburg Florida You would be my friend Well you are a good worker Keep trucking along Every time you were out there out in the woods be careful
Ha! Watching you make this trap is awesome. But stumbling and falling is my 69 yr old body’s trick. You young and agile….smart and resourceful. Good luck getting those measly hogs.
Hi Jake! 😊 Gr8 job!! I swear I use to try to do a lot of those kinds of things too using my imagination. Lol It just gets my goat how some people can Not Improvise! Ida never made it this far if I didn't improvise or use my imagination. Some people have to have something store bought for a particular purpose but can't figure out a way to create it from something they already have. That's 1 thing that makes you fun to watch. And those pole drivers sux! Lol But they are handy! 😂💘✌😊
I hope you catch a quite a few in this trap and that your corn doesn't get eaten by other critters like the last trap you had set. Trapper Jake. Good luck to you!!!
I have to tell you I saw that coming. A bit embarrassing but hey that's one of the reasons we watch. It's fun to see what kinds of pickles you get yourself into. I wonder if those flimsy looking panels will hold a big hog. Daniel Arms uses a big professional trap and I've seen those big boars push it around some. Sheesh they are mean mfers. Went and looked it up. Armes Family Homestead video published 8/21/21 We got them all.
How many farm animals have you lost in past due to hogs? When they root in forest, what are they eating? Bugs, mushrooms? The wild hog , will it be like killing Trudy?
Good luck Jake. I hope you get a sow hog. They are really good eating once you boil the meat down at least one time before roasting it. 🌸 oh if you weld a couple handles on the t-post setter it makes it so much easier.
Can you let us know what finally happened with your previous traps? Assuming hogs weren’t caught or you wouldn’t be trying the corral trap today, but I remember you attaching a camera twice before (in two separate places) and I’ve been anticipating what the video/s showed. - My apologies if you’ve already shown that, I just couldn’t find it when I hunted for it on your homepage videos list. - Looking forward to seeing how the corral trap works. Good Luck!
