@@gentrydebbie1040 I understand your frustration, I'm a former 82nd Airborne 3BCT 1/505th Alpha Co from 01-09. I know all about G.O.D. ( Guns Oil Drugs ) but it was my calling. It gave me a purpose when I was lost. I didn't fight for a flag, country, paycheck or a political party. I served just like my son is serving now for the soldiers to our left and right. I had to make sure my battles got back home. Jariko and Pat are true Americans. To me Sir, that is a beautiful thing. Something this country lacks these days. With that being said. Thank you for your service. I mean that with all the utmost respect.

My two best friends from my youth are a jarhead and a career Navy guy and I was in the 82nd. All 3 of us knew people from our service that were at the airport those last few weeks of the withdrawl. The shit they've told me... brother. It takes a little something extra in a person to volunteer to join and be willing to serve in combat units, knowing full well that choice will lead you into remote and war torn corners of the world. But to willingly go back after your days in the service are up for no other reason than the pursuit of truth and the desire to show the world what's going on? That's S-tier levels of balls, integrity and honor. Mad respect for this man and the work he's doing.

Much respect for you Jariko. I also have to give a shout-out to 1SG Upp. That man hit his 70th month deployed for OIF/OEF while we were in Afghanistan in 2017. Command wouldn’t let him stay 2 more months so he could get his 12th combat stripe. Probably surpassed it by now tho. Dude was a savage. Rakkasans ⛩

Jariko is a bad ass! The platoon I was in was attached to 2-5 CAV in 2006. It was by far the hardest of my 3 tours, and turned into a 15 month deployment which sucked. I went on one of the first R&R rotations, so it sucked being there for 11-12 months straight. Charlie co 2/8 CAV 1BCT 1AD 💪
