What’s really funny about the current endgame is that the terraformation numbers don’t have any sort of cap, and they don’t really correspond with actual terraformation statistics. For example, 286,000 ppm means two hundred eighty six thousand parts per million, or about 28.6 percent oxygen, which is actually too much. Same goes for pressure. 136 pascals is way over earth’s atmosphere, and would make life more difficult. Im sure the devs will make it more accurate in the future I want to point that out and be a nerd lol
The earth's pressure at sea level is actually ~101kPa, so multiply that number like a thousand. Still, definitely accurate regarding the o2 partial pressure. ~210,000 ppm would be earthlike. 288-298 K is roughly "average" ish for heat, just for the sake of being complete.
@@dvdraymond there has been quite some discussion about temperature as well. We generally agree that's how much the average temperature changed since the beginning of the game, the only thing that makes a bit of sense.
I've been quite surprised with this game so far! In the first couple episodes it seemed like the terraforming was progressing way too quickly and that the endgame took no time at all to get to, but the progression in the last few episodes has been so much better, like what I expected.
Keep in mind he's skipping a lot of activity. Early game actually progresses pretty slowly. It speeds up as you progress, and by the current end game the machines just aren't starting enough to maintain that momentum.
I always dismantle the chests I loot. That way I don't have to remember if I was there before or not. And yeah, at same point with completing to that point but, new update is supposed to pop by end of next week with a good bit of new stuff. Looking forward to it.
@@Isley6628 It's a free iron. I'm not gonna complain about that. Especially when that respawning happens with the heaters in the crash sites. Cheesey, yes. Worth it, also yes.
Yo Kibz! (ImKibitz) You found a cave full of Super Alloy like 2-3 videos back. You can put an extractor in there to get super alloy instead of making it. Also, make like 4 extractors at each resource (Uranium, Iridium, Super Alloy, Osmium) and a little hut with some storage and a shredder. Then you will have infinite resources! Except Zeolite and Liurnia seeds...be careful with those... Build a DNA Extractor to make new tree seeds. Hint: The gold seeds can be used to make a good tree seed, even though the recipe isn't in the DNA extractor
There are 11 gold boxes... so 11 gold trophies, allowing for a SECOND trophy case if you went and got them all Be aware, there is an UPGRADE! With a new PATCH! Coming soon. Saw another streamer showing it off, and when it comes there will be LOTS of fun! Lots of life improvements and more regions to explore. If you see Green vines going up now, YOU CAN CLIMB THEM! check the canyon, there's a bunch of them there... The new update will even allow for BUNKERS! Also... while you're running around during the Tree period, there are these clusters of flowers. You pick those up and combine them in the genetic manipulator to make the better trees
There is an update coming soon, it's called "Caves and Crater" and with it bringing new machines, crafting recipes, rockets, biomes, caves and most importantly, chain crafting/building. Maybe you can make a video exploring and testing the new stuff.
Slowly dying inside as Kibs gets excited for the nuclear fission reactor and builds a lot of them and not knowing he needs zeolite for the T2 tree spreaders 😂
You forgot to check the weird alien door after activating the reactors. I wager (at least in a future update) if all hidden generators are powered, the weird door will open.
what weird alien door? You mean the one in the Superalloy Cave? It is not a door, if you fly around the sides through the other biome you can get on top of the sandfall caves and the superalloy cave and from there go down a steep hill and you find yourself on the other side of that "door". Literally nothing there, it is the edge of the map, maybe in a future update there will be more
I would just check the other spacecraft wrecks as I have found two generators but have not found that ring station yet although I doubt the loot will be different. Great vid though.
well now I am interested where you found that alledged 3rd generator. I am pretty sure I completely explored the map in both my playthroughs and there are only 2 gens
Keep these coming! Only suggestion is to do a lil more exploring for there is some key things you've missed. No spoilers. Also, update incoming. Protip: Tier, up, EVERYTHING. If you have an upper tier machine, the lower tier equivalent is garbage. Also makes for better resource allocation. Have a fantastic rest of YOUR day.
Just watched to the 7 minute mark. Kibs is going to be a sad panda before long. Gonna have to deconstruct all of his fusion generators to make room for other Zeolite-hungry recipes.
You might have been told this but you can make trees using the golden seed, it just doesn't show in the list of craftable trees you can make. I believe you can also find some flowers growing our in the wild to get more then the ones you find in the wrecks and chests.
Looking good man, but there already a small update you will have to go into the steam settings to get it but it lets you craft super alloy rods, 8 super alloy and 1 aluminum, you can craft 3 super rare tree types that are not on the list in the DNA crafter, 1 is using the Golden seed, and the other two are from flowers that will naturally on the world, one type you found in the ship but it can be found growing in the world head to super alloy cave then head to the right though the desert and you will see a small valley with islands on the center island will be the flower, the second flower is found in a few spots one and the easiest is on top of one of the bluffs in the canyon region that you can climb up vines to get to the top of the bluffs there is also zeolite and other rare crafting stuff nearby. if the flowers are not there you need to launch some seed rockets it will help jack up your biomass by plants trees and flowers from orbit.
today I learned that almost nobody bothers to finish the video before commenting, it's amazing how many people are telling him about the super alloy cave when he literally shows it 20 minutes into the video
I believe the devs have said that tress s currently the last stage so I wouldn't be too excited about insects and it explains why it's progressing so slow
Insect aren't in the game yet and zeolite only has 30 of them in the world and then a few in the chests but u need zeolite to make t 3 tree spreaders so be careful with how u use it
@ImKibitz Yesterday came a mail. By the end of next week there will be a new update. "It will mainly focus on expending the map and adding lots of Quality of Life improvements!" Due to the mail there will be - New biomes: Archs, Balcony, Meteor Crater - New caves: Zeolite, Pulsar quartz, Osmium, ... - 2 New rockets, new machines, events and secrets - Lots of quality of life additions - Chain crafting / Chain building - Better mapping system - Improved food grower - Improved build system - Performances optimizations Later on in other updates there will be more biomes, wrecks, caves, machines, breathable atmosphere, insects, fish, amphibians, replayability system and a lot more content overall.
New update with more areas, event, machines etc, should be out in a couple of weeks according to steam. You can climb those vines on the side of the cliffs in the deep canyon area
i didnt go the rocket way for biomass. i built 12 tree domes. couldnt help to smile a little when i saw your super alloy factory. i have one same place XD
Me too. And I built a bio-base near where he did too... except mine was on the edge of the lake right next to the sulfur path, and I built a sulfur miner as close to the base as possible, so I have infinite sulfur out one door and infinite algae and water out the other door.
My god I've done it yesterday, got the cells. My god I felt it's soooo not worth it. But I gotta say. The game is looking amazing especially for an early access game. Honestly hats off to the devs.
@@SmokeJam Yep, which makes this and lots of bugs forgivable, given the next update is more focused on quality of life improvments in addition to new content. But it's honestly a great game.
Try to get to Earth’s habitability: -210000 ppm oxygen -100000 Pa pressure -288 K heat -And as much biomass as possible Also see if the game stops if you reach those numbers or if you can go even further and ruin everything you have done by adding too much There’s only you who can have the patience to do this lol
@@afoxwithahat7846 on wikipédia it says 550 billions tons and it produces 100 billion tons per year. I think that it can’t go any further because it reached the maximum biomass production capacity relative to the size of Earth and it stabilized (100B produced/year, 100B consumed/year)
my favourite series probably atm. I like this game but i havent played it so i have to watch others and yours is the most interesting one and you are cool (:
So the way the rocket multiplier works is that it takes your current production (the sum of whatever your machines are producing not the number on the screen), multiplies it by 10 and then adds it to your total production. So if your machines are producing 10 units/s then when you launch the rocket, you’ll produce 1010 units/s. However, if you launch another rocket, your production will be 2010 units/s. Each rocket only adds 1000 units/s. So it’s not like it keeps taking 10 times whatever it says on the screen and adding it to your total. Instead it just keeps adding 1000. So it’s not exponential, it’s linear. So it makes sense to keep building machines because it increases the effectiveness of your rockets. Each rocket will add 2000 instead of 1000 etc.. it doesn’t necessarily make sense to keep shooting up rockets.
I've actually played through to the fusion battery about 800 GTi, what I found playing a game is that after about the 5th rocket it starts giving diminishing returns. I'm also found that staggering launching the rockets is better because the 1,000% buff drains off over time
My understanding is it's because the multiplier is tied to the base production, not the multiplied production. Example: 5 base product, each 1000% rocket increases by 5000 1 rocket means you're producing 5005 - so the ~1000% increase 2 rockets makes it 10,005 - now it's only a ~100% increase 3 rockets and we're at 15,005 - which is only a ~50% increase 4 is 20,005 - which is only ~33% increase 5 is 25,005 - 25% increase A sixth rocket brings it to 30,005 - so actually only an ~20% increase and it continues to seem to diminish as while it's still increasing the same amount, it's much smaller compared to the existing total. But at 5 rockets if you increased the base by 1, so in this example using 6, it would produce a total of 30,006. So about the same as a 6th rocket. But then increase base by another 1 to 7, and you're at 35,007 with 5 rockets, so more production then a 6th rocket would create.
I've yet to see my levels drop. I'm currently at 5.32TTi and every Oxygen rocket I send up increases my O2 by like 5-7 million. O2 is at 232,698,448ppq/s, heat 3,7155,595pK/s, pressure 4,808,430nPa/s and Biomass 4,599,529g/s. I cannot make any more tier3 tree spreaders... :(
Man the game is really nice, but the guys have to get their science straight :D Starting the game at 0 Kelvin is kinda silly and power production is not measured in kW/h but simply in kW.
You could say temperature is measured in change from base value. Though the game gets alot of other things wrong such as uranium being green everywhere which would imply we have autunite for every single use case as well as other metals being generally off color. You can of course say the game is not supposed to be about realism which is a fair point though. I do agree on the kW thing though (i edited the message as at first i missundrestood the comment about that).
Clearly it's kilowatt hours per hour. :P But... You can kinda make sense of it if you assume both that it's starting from a baseline value (~6000 pascals, a little under 0C) and that it's measured in terms of impact on the entire planet but since all your stuff is in one area it has a larger impact locally, and the rest of the planet is still icy and low pressure until the numbers get much higher. It would also explain how you had a person there for a whole year before you and they never managed to make a blue sky... They probably did, but it disappated across the planet when their equipment broke down. Also, because the planet was in a bad position, they needed a lot more heat than us to melt the ice and never reached that.
I mean the entire game kind of assumes you would be able to terraform a planet into habiatable one as one person so its probably safe to say its better go not get into logic and science of this.
FYI Kibitz, if you make a big platform out of Foundation Grids and then remove columns of them in a checkerboard pattern, you can store truly immense quantities of resources. I think that storage method might actually be denser than solid masses of Lockers, though it does take more time to make a large withdrawal.
i did, i just made the comment before finishing because last time i finished one of his videos of planet crafters he had gone the entire episode without finding the secret in the area he wandered into
Rockets don't give 1000x, they give 10x. And it's not exponential. I think Rate = number_of_rockets x machine_total x 10 + machine_total. So the optimum would be to launch one uranium rocket for every one t4 heater that you build, and vice versa. Otherwise you get diminishing returns. For example, if you are at 1 x 8 x k, you are better off going to 2 x 8 x k instead of 1 x 9 x k, where k is a constant (10 times the output of a machine).
To be fair, because of off target production (i.e. heaters generating some pressure and vice versa) and power use, if you must have more of one, rockets are better, but yeah, ideally you want about 1:1.
I love this game, I never thought of putting more rockets up, I will be doing that, since I have like 8 or 9 rocket engines I have found in various wrecks in the game. I have found 3 nuclear reactors, there is one in the ship at the base of the stargate. I really don't want the game to end for me, I really enjoy playing it. Only complaint is it is hard to target in the game, the curser is small and hard to see in the light, maybe if they made it brighter white with a black border it would be easier to get those small things like larvae or the pulsar quarts or if you are chasing the rolling special alloy while the ground is shaking.
That point is exactly when the number of rockets is equal to the number of machines. At that point you should alternate building machines and building rockets. If I did the maths correctly.
The fusion cells go in the reactors in the crashed ships. There is two or three ships with reactors in them. It opens a door within the ship to get some end game materials. Oddly enough, the cells have nothing to do with the reactors we can build, at least not yet. I got my terraforming number up to 2+ TTi. I'm curious how high it will need to go. This is a great game so far and it just gets better.
you can also build the ore extractors, just slightly outside the cave entrance for the ores. if you go too far away you'll just get iron though, so it has to be close by. also I'm pretty sure you can just staircase your way up to the tops of any cave, I mean outside them.
Kibitz, go to that huge rock formation just straight East of your base, I think. just straight out your main door and keep going that way. There is Super Alloy in there, and there are places you can put the tier 2 miner to extract super alloy directly. Also, once youve gotten to the rockets, you dont need many machines anymore. Rockets will keep increasing your thresh holds by 1000%, each time you make one, so the 16k of your biomass will jump up with another rocket, so just keep focusing the rockets, instead of machines
Rockets are the key. I'm at 70% to insects and climbing at 0.03 GTi per second. I currently have 5 T4 Heaters, 5 T4 Drills, 13 T3 tree spreaders, 7 T2 Algae growers and, 12 T2 Ore extractors (they do add heat and pressure to the game). The downside with the .11 patch is that now I'm working on adding another 12 T2 Nuclear reactors to my existing 18 T2s so I can take the energy hit from scrapping my 2 Fusion reactors so i can get enough Pulsar Quartz for another 2 teleporters.
Hello Kibz ! Thanks a lot for letting me discover this game trough your channel, i've buy it after watching this video and now i'm at 3.30 TTi ( yes, it's that high ) in almost 35hours ! And still want to play, making nuclear power plant out of plazu !
The 1000% multiplier is only works on the base number. So if you are making 100 the send the rocket you get 1000. Now when you send the next rocket all you do is add another 1000 so you total 2000. So it's better to send up rockets after you add to your base.
I stopped playing my main save at around 1.4 TTi. You hit insect stage at 1 TTi, so you're right. The next stage past insects is probably impossible without new machines though or running the game 24/7.
Build a ship with a specialized alphabetical storage array inside. You could probably have a space elevator to deliver supplies to the ship while in orbit and have a storage unit on the ground. Hello interplanetary travel!
You think insect is slow wait until you get to the fish stage. You’d best be grinding prior updates or you be there forever. I empty my inventory and keep the game on while I’m sleeping. Helps keep ur status quo
No the devs definitely wanted the player to get the fusion cell xD The whole game is set up that you try to loot as little chests as possible until lategame, as the loot in them upgrades according to your current progress. They are still expanding the map, I'm just curious about how they want to fill the content as you got nothing else to do than yeet a few thousand rockets until you reach the last stage of terraforming which is way beyond the current unlocks. Will be interesting what new machines etc they introduce and maybe we need more than one fusion cell then^^
Cheers kibitz! So... I don't know if it was the right one, but at the second secret fusion room, there is another room of loot behind a wall of... Lockers, i think they were either, something to deconstruct for more
18:03 "10 times 1000, whatever that is..." Kibitz....you seriously crack me up sometimes. Well, if the internet is to be believed (along with all those "with [x] million dollars we could have given everyone in the country [y] $ instead!" posts going around on FB) I think according to those 10 x 1,000 = 10,000,000,000,000. But I might be wrong. It IS FB math after all ;-)
The rockets are fantastic, no doubt, but for anyone watching bear in mind that the multiplier is additive, meaning they take the base rate and multiply it by 1000% times the number of rockets you launched. As such 1 rocket gives a 10x multiplier, whereas the second will be slightly less than double your total production. Overall it is worth getting into the 5-10 range for every rocket for sure, but there are significant diminishing returns. Beyond that the tree spreaders are top tier. Do note though that for oxygen output you are better off with a flower spreader using around 450% or higher oxygen flowers than the T1 tree spreader with the trees made from said flower. This is because the multiplier goes down to 125%-200% for trees instead of 150%-600% for flowers. From T2 on though go hog wild with the trees.
Yeah you get to make a few by mixing the flowers, but it was super limited with the materials I had on hand. I thought I'd be able to unlock/ find recipes or something but didn't until the end, so didn't really show that off much
This game has some amazing potential but will still need a ton of attention before it gets to that which i am envisioning ^.^ I really hope this will be one that supports multiplayer at some point.
