I accidentally Batarang'd one in the confusion, and when I heard Victor flip out, he was somewhere behind me, so I panicked-- it was a crazy fun way to experience this logical detail
I noticed this yesterday when I was playing new game +. Another thing I noticed is if Mr Freeze destroys the sculptures by accident when attacking Batman, he'll blame Batman for making him destroy it.
@@momerathsoutgabe-mt1gcTrue. But he has killed many, many innocent people. Being frozen alive can be lethal, and Batman and friends aren't always there to break them out of the ice encasing them.
I thought they were just decoration. I never bothered breaking it because the man loved her. Despite Freeze's actions, he is doing what he does for an honest reason.
Arkham Knight did Freeze and Nora right. He finally accepted that she was gonna pass away, so she convinced him to let her live the rest of her days out with him.
@@rang_ongaming231if you want to play it the mission is part if the season of infamy dlc pack in Arkham Knight. You get new side missions for some villains not present in the base game.
The fact that the game never tells you really means that Rocksteady didn't just want you to control Batman but also roleplay him by using your own detective skills like this is right here is something I can see Batman himself doing in a comic or movie
@@Jim-Bagel adding these easter eggs or extra details without explaining each of them is MUCH better imo, as we get to learn it ourselves. And when we do, it makes us feel better :D
I mean it's the main bit for arkham knight that the enemies adapt. Now if they would do so in other series, then yeah totally. I will say, going back and going through arkham again, it is really neat seeing the enemy and batman progression through the games. You start with thuggish patients with fists and culminate in high-tech military suits that can jam detective mode or hunt him down if he uses it too long.
@@truthseeker7815 Victor Fries: "There's a security override in my suit, if my weapons were ever used against me." Batman: "How did that work out for you?"
@@khalifabinhendi6107 (has been running straight through the arkham games one after another and still ends up button mashing once 2 enemies start firing at me, all the time in the world and i still die)
The best boss fight in the whole series is against a dude who isn’t even really a villain to begin with. They wrote his character so well in this series.
You can also make freeze destroy them on accident and the pain in his voice as he apologizes to Nora for it and tells Batman he'll regret making him do it is sad.
My favorite detail is in Arkham Knight when Scarecrow's henchman is trash talking you in his cell. You can walk up to him and knock him out on the bars.
Indeed it does. I’ve finished all of them at least 4 times each and 100% at least one time each. To this day I still learn something new about the games at least twice a year that makes me wanna play again.
I always attack anything that looks breakable to me... so i found out that i can break it. But i didn't use it for my advantage as i just kept breaking them all to irritate him 😅 i was kinda on edge on that fight
I found this out on my own through new game plus because I ran out of ideas, noticed the Nora statues and thought that's what I needed to knock freeze down
This is proof that this series, and this instalment in particular, is one of the best games ever developed. To this day I keep discovering new hidden gems in it. Mind-blowing attention to detail.
I remember when I first played Arkham city in 2012, breaking Nora’s ice statue was one of my first strategies to get behind Mr. Freeze and take him down. Arkham City was definitely the best game in the series imo.
I tend to waver between it and Asylum depending on which I've played more recently. I think Asylum has a certain atmospheric quality that City lacks due to it's smaller scope but City rules too. It's pretty much the perfect example of a sequel taking what was awesome and raising it another level. I like Origins and Knight (definitely least) too but City and Asylum are easily the standouts.
I came across this by accident when the game was first released. Screwed up the button combo and threw a batarang instead firing the elector-gun. When it destroyed the statue, Freeze took notice more than anything else I did
The thing I only recently discovered about the Freeze fight is that you can actually scan Freeze (like a riddle) and it opens a menu that gives you all possible attacks he’s susceptible to. I’ve played this game 100 times and always struggled on hard difficulty to remember more attacks. Figuring out I could just scan him helps A LOT.
I either found this by accident on my first playthrough, or after 15 min of not knowing what action to take next the game brought up this list out of pity for me. Lol
I did that first time I played it and have wondered for the last ten years how I did it! I remembered that screen and could never do it again, I thought Oracle sent it.
not only did i know about it, but it's a key trigger for Fries' psychology. his love for his wife is his main weakness...it's what turned him to criminality.
After beating that frosty blue walking refrigerator 6 times in my life on different levels of difficulty, I must say I’ve never known this and now I’m going to play Arkham City to break frosty’s snowwomen for a seventh time. Thank you brotha 👌🏼
I recently brought and played through the remastered games and I completely forgot you could do this. But watching the gameplay must have unlocked a hidden memory because i definitely did this on my first playthrough
One of the first things I figured out in that fight sequence. Everything is in this game for a reason so when there were multiple Nora's, I knew it was something to use.
I'm today's years old learning you could do this, I fn loved this series and especially this boss fight, I thought the killer croc boss fight was terrifying (still is) but they upped the ante for this one
I've clocked this game at least 3 times in the past 12 years, but not once did I notice this feature lmao 12 years later and it's still a top 3 best game of that generation. Absolute masterpiece.
I realized that the first time I fought him when he shot at me and accidentally broke one of the sculptures and he said "no I will make you regret making me do that Batman "
I discovered it because I would always break them by accident during the fight, or he would accidentally break them himself, and then I would feel really bad because he would say things like “Nora, NOOO!” in this heartbreaking tone of voice.
I literally am replaying the trilogy right now beat arkham city 4 days ago and i myself just realized this its somewhat useful i kinda prefer making him follow my footsteps then I can literally make him walk into a trap
Arkham games did something that we all wanted to do since Batman The Animated Series rest in peace the true voice of Batman Kevin Conroy was one of a kind
First time playing Arkham City and doing this boss fight I accidentally broke one and saw he came to my location despite me being so far away. So I used that as a strategy to lure him. Years later I replay this game and I just found a place where I could beat him up three times consecutively and it was game over. Didn’t need to destroy the statues which made me feel good about myself.
This is something that I actually learned completely by accident while playing the game my first time around so I've known about it since the very first day I played at 12
I never noticed the statues either, nor did I know you could break them. It’s by far my favorite fight for sure when I first played it, it was one of those that other people comment on it and you realize it really is a great design by the programmers
Only realized this by accident during a playthrough recently. I don't recall ever doing this before. It's amazing attention to detail affecting gameplay.
Seriously!!! The moment I realized this was like a Raven MGS style boss fight and you know Mr.Freeze obsessive love you'd instantly know that's how you get in his head.
I noticed these statues during one of my playthroughs, destroyed one for fun and noticed Freeze's dialogue. But i had no idea that it could draw him to it. I thought it was just a cool unique dialogue, a nice attention to detail.
The best detail in this fight is when time it right and glide a second time in the room right as victor freezes the air. Batmans cape will be frozen more visibly and it looks cool tbh.
I actually learned about this one time since I noticed these Nora statues and wondered if I could break them with q Batarang. It was like my 100th playthrough of the game so I already knew many of the ins and outs of the game, but I was still impressed when Victor said something about that.
It’s funny how this was posted a month ago and it’s also funny how I just recently finished my visitation to the game as well, and after completing it, I did the EXACT same thing lol ❤
I didn't knew either, but what I found weird was that when I fought him I made him destroy one while he was hunting me down and blamed Batman for destroying one of the sculptures when he did it himself.
I love how rocksteady hides these little gems everywhere in the game and just lets you discover them on your own. I’ve played this game dozens of times and never noticed those statues. This game never ceases to amaze me. Best. Gaming franchise. Ever.
Another cool thing about this "boss fight" or encounter I guess is that if you're on easy you will have to hit him like 3 times (I think), but the harder the difficulty is, the more you'll have to hit him with different attacks. The hardest difficulty requires you to use every single variation possible and so actually challenges you to use all of Batman's abilities!
