It took Rebecca Romijn 9 hours to do her ‘X-Men’ makeup 

"I dont think Jennifer Lawrence goes through the same process that I went through". Yes and it showed. Romijn's Mystique was so so so much better

She was a much better Mystique than Jennifer Lawrence. And looks a lot better even to this day!

She sat through 9 hours of makeup and it indeed came out beautifully. It was prefect. She was prefect for the role and she loved the character. JLaw on the hand hated it so much the it shows on the makeup and acting style. She was never comfortable in the costume or with her own body.

I was very upset to see they replace her with JLawrence in Xmen movies

It's 2024, and she can totally still play the role again. She has kept her figure, and she has great skin. I hope she at least makes a cameo as Mystique in the MCU.

She was so much better as Mystique than Lawrence. Lawrence in her X-men movies is talking like how a modern 2010s college girl would talk. These movies take place in 1962, 1973, etc. Nobody talked like that. Ugh she was so bad in that role. Aside from her, everyone else in the prequel X-men movies are believable as people of that time, but she just takes you out of the movie Romijn was perfect as Mystique. Limited speaking role, but a menacing and mysterious presence as Magnetos right hand. X1 and X2 I think are comic book movie masterpieces

I really do not think those movies were good, Fox simply couldn't do the X Men justice, but Rebecca was amazing as Mystique. This probably won't happen in MCU but I personally would cast her back ´, I wouldn't connect the MCU version of Mystique to the past version of course but I would still cast Rebecca as the role of her life basically
