Yeah it is! On the there is a man reddit there's a post with all their official social media accounts linked. They are gonna release their old songs soon if they find them. David said weekenders is coming out soon!!!
The band has said they’re 90% sure 2 of their old songs are salvageable.. considering they’ve already uploaded man on a hill on spotify, we may get more songs soon. The panchiko effect strikes again. However, they have said that they’re all in their thirties with families and don’t exactly live next door to each other anymore. Still happy for them getting recognition.
@@foolishly7366 I’m so sick of everyone accusing lostwave songs of being hoaxes or made by AI left and right. And it’s so frustrating to argue against as well because they just deny everything, even though the proof is literally the search itself. Maybe, if they done a bit of research maybe they’d come to that realisation. So, I didn’t even bother
It's weird how this video popped up after watching that EKT (Everybody knows that) song that's still lost to this day, I think you should make a video about it too!
@@pseudowander and if you can, later make a video of JMIL (just make it louder), how it was searched like 16 years and nobody knows nothing about this song
This video is so good! A very good summary of all that has happened! Glad to have solved this one for everyone and the cherry on top is the band members are awesome guys and are also searching for any music they still have from the time to upload for us! Potentially even some new recordings too! But that is only potentially at this moment!!
What's mad is I used to be involved with a band with Fraser's brother (the bassist of the band in the video). Not looking for clout, just the facts. The band I was involved with was Lucky 38 and the band the song is from is the Defended. we're mostly from the suburban Glasgow area.
oh my goodness ive been wanting this song to get found for so long now its actually unbelievable that it finally happened, super awesome video on it too
back when this song was still lost i uploaded the incomplete version with lyrics to youtube i was thinking about making a lyric video for the full version as well
it's funny coming across this song after I naturally found the Defended on my own. Took me for a loop when I realized I just listened to Man Upon a Hill and then heard it was the lost media in this vid lol
Hey bro, just stumbled upon your channel while on a lostwave binge. This video had me glued to the screen the whole time, your narration style is engaging and the video production quality reminds me of some of the biggest channels in the scene. Keep it up, you do well with this kind of content! Forgotten genre vid slaps too
i love this song sm. i was watching the song for so long and now that its finally found (along with another song of theres begin found) its one of my favorite ones lol
Great video man! I’m glad this song was found, I heard it a few months back but forgot about it. It’s a really catchy song! I’m hoping for others to be found this year too. Seems like a good year for lost music since we’ve already found some
Thanks for making a good video about this in under ten minutes. Too many RU-vidrs are making videos that exceed even the length of feature films, clearly for the ad revenue, since they don't need to be that long. There are some things that look interesting, but I don't want to spend an hour to see what it is.
thank you for that, Brian. i normally try to aim for 10 minutes but i’m just not good enough to make a 10 minute video that’s interesting the entire way through yet ahaha! so i acknowledge that and shorten it as needed, i appreciate you noticing (:
You should do a video on the lost song called “Tension Rising In The Air.” It’s actually a snippet on Watzatsong that was posted in 2006. It’s so mysterious. Please do a video 🙏🏻
it's actually kind of amazing how much music being uploaded to spotify right at this moment is already lost media. If you hear it you will be the first and only. Don't forget it you are it's entire life.
A crazy detail not mentioned in the video is how the band actually found out about this search. Once drew found the live video, and all of us started flooding the comments of it excitedly, the creator of the video actually started replying to people, despite the video being over a decade old. Turns out he was a friend of one of the band members, and he was able to shoot them an email!
Congratulations 🎉 Must have been a grand feeling of relief and victory! That's what I'm hoping to conquer when or if the artist and actual title for "Everyone Knows That" unlocks someday soon hopefully❣️😆🙌 Yes you're totally right when you said that when searching for a lost media song would be like a treasure hunt and that's an amazing thought🤗 The more people committed to this hunt, the better possibilities of getting warmer to the artist and song title or at least give it a shot to see where we stand, lol Man On the Hill is an amazing and memorable song! I am intrigued to know more about The Defendend 😃😊👌💕💕 Quick question, How did this person find the song? source?
Great video and I enjoy it, I clicked on it because I thought they found that song that has been trending a lot everywhere but this one is super good as well lol this is so cool and fun finding about lost media and solving them!!
From the title of this video, I thought it would be that "Like the wind" song that is also called "the most mysterious song on the internet." Also, it's weird that mid-2000's can be considered "a long time ago" but I guess that's how it always is: what was new is eventually old.
I see the pinned comment shares the same beliefs as me- but I really appreciate your hard work put into this video. I'm excited to check out the rest of your channel!
Damn, I was hoping this would tell me they finally discovered the identity of "the most mysterious song on the internet" (that post-punk/new wave sounding one) - I've never heard of this lost song. It's pretty good, but nowhere near as good as the one I thought you were talking about lol
fair enough, i’m currently making a video talking about the recent updates to the everyone knows song (that i think you’re talking about!) that one is very much so still a mystery unfortunately.
good question, i’m currently in full time school so finding time to do anything right now is difficult, but it is in the works! i’ll be hopefully releasing another video sooner than later but again im rlly busy so consistency will be difficult until end of april (after finals)! hopefully soon though!
This was a great video, but i also want to listen to some of the music you used in it. Would you mind linking me to the music from the r/lostwave section. Again this video was great though, can't wait to see what you do next
Thank you so much for your kind words! all of the music in this video other than the lavender town theme (& there is a man ofc) is in some way made by me for this video specifically! if you’d like i’d be happy to make a long version of that song and send it to you, but the song i used is unfortunately not available because i made it!
@@pseudowander Oh wow that's really cool, I'd love it if you were to send me the music you made but don't feel forced to. That's awesome that you're able to do that though, really unique.
@@kllkj089hthanks i appreciate that! i’m a music producer first, youtube is my second hobby (: dm me on ig and ill send it to you sometime this week (i cant do it this weekend cause im flying back to toronto for school) i’m super grateful for your support!
wait, these guys are local to me. i wonder if we could find anything in charity shops. also your pronunciation of glasgow is... interesting. it's glas-goh like cheerio, it doesn't rhyme with cow.
wow that’s so cool! please keep me updated if you find anything, i’d be very interested to know! also thank you so much for the correction, im sorry for mispronouncing! i tried to use google to find out how to pronounce it correctly but i still messed up! thank you for correcting me!
@@pseudowander I feel like that song should be in Spiderman: Beyond The Spiderverse because it would've fit the introduction of Hobbie (SpiderPunk from the alternative Multiverse) where he saves some civilians before he performs at a big local bar on stage. PS: this is my imagination or interpolation of that perspective.
that’s a good question, tbh i’m not sure what anime it’s from. it definitely could be no. 6 but i’m not totally sure! tbh i haven’t even seen no. 6 is it good?
oh my goodness ik 💀 someone else corrected me too lol i’m so dumb. i literally even checked google translator first then still pronounced it incorrectly )): thanks for the reminder 💕 i promise to take more precautionary measures in the future!
