As an ex stripper I really hate that this movie will inspire young women to dance. Do not go do this please. Don’t be fooled, this is a Hollywood film and motive. Stripping is not easy, guaranteed or a promising lifestyle. And the women at the club aren’t all “besties” and girl power like they’re portraying. Niger Nelly you can have that perspective. I just know how easily impressionable young women can be and it may “just be a movie” to you, but it isn’t for others. Just something to be mindful of and as a former dancer, that lifestyle isn’t as popping and pretty as people portray it to be.
Imani Wade you are correct. This is a mentally destructive movie. It does not surprise me that it’s being glamorized the way it is. Throw some well known names and faces behind it and humans will swarm to it like flies to feces. Like a dog returning to it’s vomit. I understand many are going to dislike this statement, however if they only knew what this does to the soul they’d think twice about everything we say and do. As well as what we allow into our minds. Hollywood is a sick sadistic place.

A Messenger For Christ never said to be proud, if they’re stripping obviously it’s for a reason. But people shouldn’t demean them and look at them like trash when they’re human. It’s a struggle and takes a toll on you it’s a battle everyday and I respect the strength they have to keep going. The only thing I would say has no morals are the men and the way they objectify women and women take advantage of that to make more money. I’d prefer strip clubs to cease to exist but as long as men are around I don’t see that happening

Well, English is her second language. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edit: She grew up here in America, but had parents that mostly talked to her in Spanish growing up. She didn't have the same exposure to the English language as you or I might have had during the earlier years of her life. As result, she feels more comfortable speaking in Spanish and speaks broken English. She's self-aware enough to know it's not perfect.

You're judging someone's intelligence based on their command of one language, but they actually know how to speak two languages fluently enough to be able to do business and conversate in both. Ray M. I’m judging someone based on not just how she speaks but on how she presents herself to the world. The messages she spreads in the lyrics in her music, the misinformation she spreads on her social media, and her very public glorification of her criminal past that she’s so proud of. She’s not an artist or a role model. She is the opposite of what young women should be aspiring to be.

I’ve met a “stripper” or I call it an exotic dancer because the term stripper is so degrading...anyway the girl was one of the nicest people I’d ever met and I didn’t even know that’s what she did for a living...she was going to school and everything and had a good head on her shoulders and she lived in a nice luxury apartment so apparently she was smart enough to know how to bring in the money ...it changed my perspective ...this is a job...it actually takes a lot of courage and guts for women or men to even do that
