The issue with Detroit is we have Detroit Style Ballroomers/Boppers & Steppers. There is a division, but a lot of ppl such as myself do both dances..so I'm in both dance worlds, plus I'm a serious line dancer. I hate to say it, but Detroit Steppers are considered snobbish toward Ballroomers...it does have some truth to it 🤪 It would probably be different if we just had one style of dancing 🤷🏽‍♀️ Some Ballroomers don't like that Steppin has kind of dominated our dance culture.
