first back for the 2023 season and I went about skydiving over the winter in a very different way. I took the last 5 months off of flying and put that skydiving time into the tunnel. I gained about 5 hours of tunnel time and was hoping to just slide right back into the sky where I left off. I am very wrong about that. as it is very clear now where the tunnel I am flying and instantly grabbing air, while in the sky I am having such a hard time "grabbing air or being able to dig" I just couldn't catch anything. it was shaky. but overall, I am so happy to be back in the sky at csc

Read your description. Give yourself some grace. Tunnel has walls. The air does behave differently. That said, the same mechanics that work in the tunnel, work in free fall as well. There is just no tube to bounce off of or fly close to. Another jump or three and you’ll appreciate the gift of 5 hours you gave yourself. Keep going!!

Thank you! Iv definitely been hard on myself in my freefly flying in the sky. Being able to really dig with my legs and feel it on the backs seems so different. I am also still fighting having jello legs. Really need to lock it down

@@derrick_wells_ sounds like you are fighting the air. Relax. Before you exit, make yourself smile. Seriously, plaster the cheesiest biggest smile on you face as you can and focus on keeping it there. Then just skydive. Just relax. The more you fight it, the longer you’ll keep getting jello legs. Once you relax and just settle in, that goes away. The tunnel really helped me with that. Keep at it! Literally over night it will just click. Especially if the 5 hours of tunnel time was with good FF coaches. You got this!
