Bro Nazim said for years that elite Black American fighters aren’t allowed to be in competitive fights. Anytime someone is even competitive against an elite BA fighter, the trolls immediately say the BA fighter lost and his opponent was robbed. It’s like clockwork. It's crazy how people who were boxers or really understand the sport pretty much say the same thing, then the casuals saw something different. It was a great fight, a very technical chess match. This is boxing not MMA. This wasn't a close fight 8-4 at best with BuD winning. Who looked like they took more damage? Who landed more punches? Who throw more punches? Who landed the harder punches? = the winner! They better not let Bud get accumulated to the weight like they did at 147.

This was as accurate, clear and concise assessment of the fight I have heard. I think many boxing fans don’t understand what they’re seeing during a boxing match and therefore don’t know how to score rounds.
Yes and you’re spot on about the commentators they sound like some Crawford haters. When Crawford was landed his combinations Crickets, but every time his opponent landed the commentators was being extra with it. If it wasn’t for Shawn Porter Terrence wouldn’t receive no love.

I literally scored the fight 8-4 on first watch. I scored it 9-3 on second watch. It was tough to even give Madrimov 4 rds, but I gave him 2 swing rds. I’m not made at the 116- 112 score. It could’ve easily been a wider margin

Classless how the commentators outside of Shawn porter kept trying to create a narrative to sway the fight in Madrimov’s favor when Crawford was clearly winning. Madrimov fainted more times than he threw punches, I think Bud doubled him in punch output and he clearly started to put it on him as the fight got to the back end. Madrimov landed a couple clean shots in a couple rounds but even then those shots weren’t enough to win the round in my opinion, Bud controlled the ring and neutralized Madrimov’s jab.
Bud LEGITIMATELY fought the BIGGER MAN two fights in a row, one being easier due to styles and one being a great challenge DUE TO STYLE. He had no problem with either of their perceived strength and eventually WALKED DOWN Madrimov. His POWER CARRIED 4 SHO. Madrimov started clinching heavily around the 8th/9th because he FELT Bud. Say what y’all want, but this makes Bud more dangerous because he has more intel on such a style and intel on how to acclimate to 154 in expedient fashion. it’ll make him better because there isn’t a SINGLE STYLE LEFT at 154 that’ll cause him this much trouble. Everyone else is either tall and long with a come forward style, flat footed, etc. This was THE BEST test for him and he passed in my opinion. Y’all act like great fighters never been through WARS. Ali, Hagler, Hearns, Floyd, Ward, Manny, De La Hoya, etc… why do people expect for Bud to just walk through everyone without being tested or physically challenged a bit? Both guys skills kind of muted each other a bit but when all was said and done Crawford was several steps in front of Madrimov for the entire fight. Kudos to both but was pretty dominant from Crawford for me and my subjective opinion.

Thank You!!! It was a dominate performance from Crawford in a higher weight class. Madrimov only success was his right hand and his best round might have been the 8th but he didn’t show us anything but that he had a right hand and he love to feint a lot.
His power carried, Israil was just strong, big and got good chin. He was clinching when Bud lands body shots and some head shots while Bud was taking his with no excuses.
I agree with everything dude said except about Bud’s power not carrying over. I think Madrimov’s awkward style made it difficult for Bud to land enough really clean power shots on him. Had Madrimov fought Bud like he has fought previous opponents I believe Bud would have stopped him. I believe Bud hurt Madrimov at one point in the fight but he’s durable and recovered quickly before Bud could touch him up enough to get him outta there. I think whoever Bud fights next is gonna get KO’d 😅 He has something to prove now that everyone is saying he should stay at 154lb.

This is the most accurate assessment of the fight. The announcer was trash. Porter the only one making sense he had it 4-1 after 5. Giving him 1 of the first 5 was being nice. I watched Madrimov other fight he wasn't the same dog last night. He got that leash put on last night
The commentary was horrible, Sergio Mora was bias AF, and Chris Mannix was tripping! Bud definitely won the fight. The punch stats were grossly inaccurate. Crawford landed waaay more punches than he was given credit for, especially the body work. Last night, I thought Madrimov was patient. However, when, I rewatched the fight this morning, without the horrible commentary. I saw that he just couldn't find an opening. Madrimov was only landing one punch at a time and then holding; Bud was landing combinations. Bud boxed a guy who simply wouldn't engage. The judges got it right! I had it 115-113 for Bud last night, with rounds 11 and 12 being the difference for me. However, I scored it 116-112 (8-4) after rewatching the fight. Not taking anything away from Madrimov, he just lost to a better fighter last night. However, he is a very skilled fighter. You can clearly see the over 300+ amateur fight elite level pedigree. He's tricky, a switch hitter with a herky jerky style, a good counter puncher, but didn't attack at all. I think that speaks to Bud's power translating well to '54. That's where I disagree here!

After observing this past week in Boxing and listening to a bunch of the foreign media I gotta say they’ve shown tendencies to appreciate and value Terence Crawford in a way you don’t see in the US, Hearn literally stated Crawford should be an American super star… I wonder why he isn’t🤔….. I mean the list goes on, I’ve seen Hatton fight in the UK, you see the whole Philippines supporting Manny, I watched Canelo in Mexico, Tim Tszyu Australia on and on…. Like, and I hate to say it like this but imagine if Simone Biles, Serena Williams or Noah Lyles, Floyd Mayweather was Australian, French, English hahahahahaha they would be the crème de la crème of their people and their families and heritage would be celebrated.

Anybody saying this wasn’t a close fight or that bud was dominating is being biased. Just because bud won a majority of the rounds doesn’t mean he had no adversity in gaining them. Half of the commentary really got to me too, just the way you said it... It actually always happens what Crawford fights. Guys like this other commentator and the likes of roy Jones and Tim Bradley always needing to constantly having to defend TBC. It happens all the time, since the early days too. I love it though, coz they always get humbled. I watched the fight again, on mute too. Iv' early days too. You almost know to do the mute thing with all of Bud's fights. You’re right. You saw what I saw. You understand how I understand. Madrimov would not fight until the last four rounds because he had to. Bud controlled the fight by making the fight taking some chances. As you said Bud beat him up the last four rounds.
Dude was 100% correct about everything other than saying Bud power didnt carry, to me it look like it did. Otherwise i think madrimov would of got off in those later rounds or fought like he does in other fights. Neither happened.
It was close on the official cards because two judges had it 115-113…that’s 7 rounds to 5. But a lot of us don’t think the fight was as close as 7 rounds to 5…it felt more like 8-4 or even 9-3. Madrimov did a lot of bouncing around which made it hard to time him, but he couldn’t land a jab the entire fight and he couldn’t string punches together because of how Crawford fought him strategically. Just because Crawford didn’t “beat him up” like he’s done so many opponents doesn’t mean the fight was close.

Madrimov got off clean jabs and straights, Crawford just timed em well and got off clean combos to knock his rhythm off, Bud won’t say it but it was his toughest opponent for sure. 2-3 of the rounds coulda gone either way, but yea clear TC victory.

He was touching bud up with that right hand the whole fight . Crawford didn’t land much and looked very uncomfortable.We saying madri couldn’t get off PAUSE but neither could Crawford! Good battle , great match … 116/112 is what that judge seen . Could’ve been 118/110. 115/113 is the majority of folks I was around. Come the 11th and 12th is where Terrance stole the fight. Madrimov didn’t pressure or push . He gets 1 of those last 2 and it’s a split or even a draw
It was very close. Compubox proves it. Crawford won 7-5. It was close and competive. Stop treating these men like they’re Gods. It’s so bizzare. Crawford did well. It was a good fight for both men.
This is YSM so you know most of them are gonna probably be bias cause of Boots. I don’t cap for no man, if you don’t respect other’s peoples accomplishments.. how can you expect people to respect you, especially when a man is way more accomplished than you. Crawford is an awarded fighter in boxing and is a solidified hall of famer. Boots could’ve been my brother but I’d tell him the real and wouldn’t kiss his a** or be a yes man. His accomplishments in the sport of boxing doesn’t warrant him laughing when Crawford name comes up, cause he did what compared to what. If the fight happens, it happens but I don’t see no one other than Riyadh season making that fight but I would honestly want Boots to fight one of the Charlo brothers, if he goes up, cause that would be a major statement.
