TyphoonDelta1 I'm a Yank and am just as impressed by the Typhoon as anyone else is. Country of origin matters not to me and I like the Yak 3, Fw-190, F/A 18, Spitfire, Hurricane, Martin Baker MB 5,, Su 37 and P-39 as much as I like anything else. But the Typhoon DOES have an aura about it unequaled by any other modern fighter. It's my favorite.
it's true! italian pilots have a training sooo hard that during three years and more ! in this three years in a military accademy the pilot do the special forces military training and study aeronautics,strategic sciences and aerospace engineering... at the start the recruits are 800-1000 but the places for future pilots are only 50 !!

Stanfall I guess what you mean is "unstable", so it can´t be flown without help of computers on board. That´s true for quite all modern combatplanes. If they were unaerodynamic this would just mean a waste of thrust due to unecessary drag.

I was looking for a display I saw in the mid 80's at Farnborough where the pilot stalled the plane by flying vertically. He held the line and brought the nose down into a dive. I'm no expert but it was very impressive. I remember he was a pilot from the Italian Air Force.

Eurofighter 2000 Typhoon is a beast. Has equivalent dynamic performance as the most extreme Russian jets and the avionics (electronics) gimmicks of the F-35.

I disagree, Italian pilots have a certain skill that others can't duplicate. The best acrobatic team of pilots are Italian (frece tre colori). Italians have wowed the world with the best pilots, motorcycle riders, race car drivers etc.

Caro Roby i tedeschi nell'ultima Red Flag hanno avuto la possibilita di confrontarsi con l'F-22 in combattimenti simulati..beh non ci crederai ma l'Eurofighter è uscito quasi sempre vincitore. Avere gli ugelli orientabili non è sempre sinonimo di maggior manovrabilità. Secondo il mio modestissimo parere..Rafale ed Eurofighter in combattimento manovrato, se pilotati da piloti con il manico, non hanno rivali.
L'F22 non è stato progettato per il combattimento ravvicinato ma per colpire su lunga distanza. L'Eurofighter è l'opposto. Nelle simulazioni l'F22 è stato messo in seria difficoltà proprio per questo motivo. Qual'è il migliore? Penso che dipende dai punti di vista del dogfight che devono affrontare questi caccia. Se schierati insieme questi due caccia possono tranquillamente dare la paga a molti in quanto l'Euro farebbe da spalla all'F22.

Training programs and technologies are shared, so Luftwaffe, Aeronautica Militare and Ejército del Aire should be on the same level. The RAF and Armée de l'air too, are top-tier air forces. If Europe will ever become a federation, it will have the strongest and most capable air force ever assembled! With none of the garbage can development boondoggles the Americans seem to be very fond of.
Sorry but your opinion is something that you can't prove. In this world there isn't any nation that have a major operational history than American's pilots. In number of real missions and also in percentage compared to European pilots. And I'm not American.
Un solo motore significa anche una minore mission survivability; non sono pochi gli episodi di F-15 e F-18 che sono atterrati con un motore solo, e c'è una ragione se l'A-10 "Warthog" fu progettato come aereo bimotore. Con l'F-35, se qualcosa succede all'unico motore, l'unica cosa rimasta da fare è eiettarsi, e ciò non è una garanzia di sopravvivenza se si è sull'acqua, visto che il sistema di eiezione non è stato reputato affidabile in queste situazioni.
Si puo tranquillamente affermare anche il contrario, la realtà è che 2 motori vuole anche dire il doppio di possibilità di avere un problema meccanico, è brutto da dire ma alla fine un caccia deve essere in grado di partire e portare a termine una missione, un bimotore è fatto per volare con entrambi i motori, non sarà in grado di portare a termine la missione con un solo motore è vero solo che in teoria potrebbe riuscire a rientrare e salvare l'aeromobile, il paradosso sta proprio nel fatto che nonostante questo è più difficile da intrattenere e ha il doppio di chance di avere un problema meccanico. Se è vero che molti bimotori riescono a rientrare con un solo motore è altrettanto vero che i monomotori sono spesso aerei molto affidabili nella loro prestazione, esempio classico i Mirage e gli f-16, velivoli che hanno provato la loro affidabilità e la loro efficacia. Ricordati che non parliamo di un aereo civile, l'efficacia e la prestazione sono purtroppo per i piloti, molto più importanti della sicurezza di poter rientrare sano e salvo da una missione fallita. Certo tutto è opinabile perché la situazione missione compiuta e problema al rientro si verifica anche lei con una certa frequenza.

@@leleofratm9245 l'f22 non è il migliore perché ha bisogno di aerei radar per fare missioni in più è sthealt passiva solo per la forma che ha e non è manovrabile quanto un eurofigter o altri il è più migliore l'f35 chiediti anche il perché gli stati uniti non producono più l' f22 e sostituiscono il 40% dei suoi aerei con l' f35 chiediti perché l'f22 non ha avuto un mercato internazionale a differenza del'f35 che lo ha scelto molti paesi...in più l'f22 è più per bombardamento tattico come caccia non è un gran che mentre l'f35 ed eurofigter e Rafale sono multiruolo

Io parlo solo in caso di combattimento tipo Dog-Fight...il Typhoon non può nulla contro la manovrabilità del F 22..........con gli ugelli a scarico variabile si gira in un attimo e te lo trovi dietro: se cerchi la dimostrazione del combattimento reale tra un F 18 e un F 22(che c'è) te ne accorgi subito. Io poi ti confesso che sono legato ancora al vecchio Tomcat( ma non x quel cavolo di film)e quando vedo i vecchi filmati di decolli o atterraggi veri di F 14 su Carrier impazzisco davvero!! Ciao

I don't know where you got those figures. Including development costs, each EF2000 is costing the UK 125 million pounds, which is less than what a F-35 costs development costs excluded. Without the weight of the full cost of development each unit costs about 90mln € for the Tranche 3A planes. Which makes it a lot of bang for your buck. Perhaps the RAF bought a retirement home in the Cote d'Azur for each member of the plane crew with that money?
