@bro3217 the commanders are free of you complete all the challenges every day for 6 weeks for 1 and 12 for 2 if you start at 0 merit..... or in terms that show how bad it is 3 months to grind out both.... And relic being relic they will nerf them at somepoint once they have got as much cash as possible from the community from those that don't want to miss out while they are better than the standard commanders ie before the nerf when they release the Brit and DAK commanders in the next DLC.

Some of the problems you can see when the QA and balance team just want try and get people to pay early so as not to miss out while the commanders are op. 0cp call in units starting without cooldown, you get 2 units of reserves out before the 1st rifle hits the field in addition to a HMG I believe. That and they are normal builders and free reinforcements while near a bunker, it's very easy to win the manpower war and its a click of a button to make a bunker a retreat point. 1 cp arty officer with free broken arty with no flares, compare this to the non doctrinal US officer that needs vet 1 and the arty drops after smoke in a small area. He's basically a better version of the Brit officer from CoH and he had to pay for arty.... Throw in the bunkers arnt using pop cap means you have a bigger on the field presence of a mobile army with at gun's costing you a tiny bit of fuel, but zero pop cap. Personally I would have made the at bunker just a garrisonable bunker for AT gun's make it manpower only with a munition upgrade to add an at gun to it similar to how mg bunkers work. Call in the reserves similar to the airborne... but can't be shot down... But you are correct bunkers are a nightmare to deal with anyway and they've just made them stupidly difficult to deal with more so in team games, not sure if the reserves etc abilities affect team mates. Also the overwatch gives very little time from flares landing to units getting minced, good luck tsking down a bunker network when you need to use units with extreme range.
@misterchoc2893 it's broken in its own way, all the commanders are substantially better than the default commanders, but watch this space more buffs incoming right up until they decide to release the DAK and Brit commanders they have sitting ready to go when they've rinsed as much cash as possible, they'll neef these 2 commanders so that everyone wants the new super powered commanders right away. It's quite egregious that we know they are holding the new commanders for Brit and DAK back for their next dlc. Although O don't know why people aren't more up in arms over the current dlc, which is basically the community paying for a SP campaign army group that we already have access to in MP.....always wondered why they only put 3 US companies and 2 Brits in the campaign until now..... Also it's interesting to see that the only way to buy the commanders is through DLC or spend 6 weeks doing all daily and weekly tasks to get 1 commander with no option to buy with warlords......
People who think this battlegroup is broken are morons, no offense. It’s so easy to completely outplay this in any teamgame and even more so in 1s. Early double mortar is extremely effective and if you use your brain you will double whoever isn’t using the battlegroup. You’re basically immobile using this because you need to be around bunkers to do anything. Italian coastals should perhaps have their cover bonus reduced but other than that you can’t nerf the battlegroup without making it useless. The 2 infantry units make this entire doctrine and the second they’re useless is the second the battlegroup is useless. Free arty is balanced as well, should just reduce veterancy gain and maybe make cooldown 40 seconds. Also bazooka squad spam a directly counters bunker spam. From my experience. Just because you can’t use the usual brainless spam against this doesn’t mean it’s broken. People thought BAR riflemen were broken and yet nobody complains about them anymore despite them never getting nerfed. Why? People adapt. Same thing will happen here, coh isn’t supposed to be a one size fits all strategy game. You build in accordance to what your enemy builds which people seem to forget

But what i see you dont know nothing about meta because investing for two mortars hurts your infantry department meantime dude with bunkers can easliy rush you because new infantry is cheap and officer free arty cancel all teamweapon play. No offence but if you think that battlegroup is balanced that's your l2p problem.
