Italians are clearly people of culture, because salmiakki chocolate got rated that well. Even though the proper one didn't but it never does and we still fucking love it. We even have salmiakki flavored condoms available. 😅

What an excellent tasting in your family! It was so funny to watch how they reacted to some things - the big surprise was, in my opinon, the chocolate with salmiakki. How come they liked it so much, but hated all else salmiakki 😃
I like to eat jälkiuunileipä simply with some butter on it, or maybe with some slices of cheese and/or cucumber. Some prefer to put some slices of tomato instead of cucumber.
Not surprised about the licorice. The only raw licorice I ever tried was from Italy, so I would believe it is quite common there. Outside of the Nordics, there's what, Germany, Holland and Italy that has it basically?
I think salami is the italian salame, and pepperoni the hungarian? I'm not sure though, in italia we call the italian one Salme Milano and the other one Salame Ungherese
