We will transfer the Italian nuc that I purchased into the fake Apimaye hive. We run into a problem, there are charged queen cells everywhere. Can we stop these girls from swarming? #honeybees #beekeeper #beekeeping
When Installing nucs, really need to keep those frames over the box , you were dropping alot of bees and you got luck your queen made it into the hive.😇
When you install your nucs need to make you more room to work and remove some empty frames out of your way, and put them back in after you finish. Hope that helps good luck.
Looking good ole buddy. Though frame placement I agree is important closer to fall and winter. I think during a strong flow and a strong hive it doesn’t matter. I’d even move the honey or nectar frame to the outside or at least one over and give her more room to lay. You’re doing great.
Go back and watch this video. You were not consistent in keeping your frames the same direction that they were in the Nuc. I believe that’s important. If you are consistent in picking the front of the frame with the same hand, you should put that hand to the same end of the box you are transferring into.
Papa Bee, you caught me buddy. I actually noticed this when I was editing this video. I am usually more careful about that, it is important for sure. I guess I got caught up in the heat of the battle looking for those cells and didn't pay attention. Thanks for watching.
