It's good to hear from an Italian that Marcelito has excellent pronunciation of Italian. Not bad considering that Marcelito doesn't speak Italian and barely speaks English. Marcelito's life is remarkable for what he has overcome in order to achieve what he has. Marcelito had a terrible childhood. His father was sent to prison when Marcelito was 4. His mother abandoned him and he lived in the prison with his father for a time. He later lived with families that took him in but he was mistreated and eventually ran away from home. He lived on the streets homeless for about 10 years. Marcelito never had any vocal training but he loved to sing. He taught himself to sing both in a woman's and man's voice, probably because he didn't have anyone telling him that it was impossible. He entered the second season of The Philippines Got Talent and was a sensation. He used his television exposure to find and reconnect with his parents and family, who were in the audience when he was named the winner that season. He's now married and has a young daughter that he sometimes sings with in his videos.

Filipinos are very proud of our Marcelito Pomoy, he NEVER took any singing lessons but yet God has blessed him with these talents; the ability to sing both sides (male & female) voices maybe to help him in his quest to find his missing family? Marcelito is very famous internationally and yet he has remained humble, kind, and gentle. He has found his family, finally and he now has a wife and child. God definitely has graced him with eternal happiness for all that he suffered as a child! He is indeed very talented!

This young man here has done himself proud, from being abandoned on the street by his Mother at age 7, and his Father being in prison, he taught himself how to sing like this. Marcelito is the true definition of perseverance and determination, a true beacon of light to all of us in the world. This man had absolutely nothing but he took what he had and made something of himself, that is success in a nutshell. He is a gift to all of us who can hear him and be mesmerized by his God given talent. He won on Philippines Got Talent, and the first thing he wanted to do was find his Parents. In spite of them NOT being there for him while he was growing up, he wanted to find them which he did and he forgave them for what happened, that is truly a man who has no anger towards another human being in his heart. His wife and child are blessed to have this kind man in their lives, he has stated he is going to be there for his children and is doing just that. he could have been a statistic, but instead he chose the path to success and he has done just that. God Bless this man, his family and all who come in contact with him, we are blessed to have him on this earth and we should appreciate him for what he gives us. Oh and by the way he does this while sitting down, like he is just kicking back at the dinner table with us all.

Marcelito makes it easy because he can. He is a singing angel on earth. For me, this is his absolute masterpiece, something of crystal clear sung, the bright madness and in 2 languages. Marcelito Pomoy is a very very amazing singer

Marcelito's story ~ Marcelito's father was incarcerated and at age 7, his mother abandoned him on the poverty ridden streets of a city in The Phillipines. Marcelito would sing to comfort himself when he was frightened, lonely and confused. To survive, he cleaned chicken coops and he sang to the chickens while he worked. With all of that, he remained kind, gentle and humble. When he sings, there is more than his beautiful voice that we hear. There is something special that touches peoples' hearts. Marcelito sings all genres of music in 6 different languages. Amazingly, he has had absolutely no vocal or musical training and is self taught. You need to check out all of his performances on The Wish Bus as well as Time To Say Goodbye from America's Got Talent, The Champions, his performances at The One Magical Night Concert including Never Enough and other performances of My Heart Will Go On, Despacito and him performing Billie Jean and Heal The World. Marcelito is an activist for children, the poor and the elderly providing homes, food and care. He is an inspiration to many around the world.
