What a pleasure it was to watch this.

Mr. Scorsese, I am from a town near Polizzi, when i went there last time, I heard a story that you visited there and found out the name was really SCOZZESE and some how it got misspelled when your grandfather came to the US. Is there any truth to this story ? By the way, I feel like we are related with these videos. thank you for putting them in youtube.

Mr Scorsese, congratulations for these precious videos, giving and amazing testimony /legacy of this generation of Italo Americans helping us to understand what is the society now in America and how they built your country... As italiano I'm very proud of this generation (yr parents) and of course also of your amazing films especially considering your beginning early inspiration, as you said, came from Italian movies... Thanks!!

This just made me cry and cry. I miss my grandparents so much, I wish you all could’ve met them. But one thing I learned, Scorsese’s grandparents were married at old St. Patrick’s Basilica. I just did their catacomb tour and Martin Scorsese chairs the church’s foundation.

This is such a beautiful gift for Mr. Scorsese and other Italian Americans re: first hand accounts of Italian American people's lives. Catherine and Charles remind me of my grandparents. We should all be grateful of the shoulders we stand on.

A business has an overhead and you can lose money if sales are less than operating costs. I know. My father opened a coin, stamp and hobby shop , rent was way too high and not enough profits , his business partner skipped town went down to Florida some place left my father holding onto a $10,000 debt in 1968
