Amo tutti questi ragazzi, ma come voi rimango sempre a bocca aperta quando ascolto Kang Hyung Ho, soprattutto se si considera che mentre gli altri componenti del gruppo hanno studiato musica, lui è un appassionato autodidatta. Da quello che ho letto da ragazzo avrebbe voluto frequentare la scuola superiore di arti dello spettacolo, ma i genitori erano contrari. Si è quindi laureato in ingegneria chimica ed ha lavorato come ricercatore, continuando a far musica a livello amatoriale con il suo gruppo rock. Stava quasi rinunciando al suo sogno, quando grazie alla sua partecipazione a Phantom Singer 2, alla soglia dei 30 anni, riesce finalmente a fare della sua passione la sua professione (per fortuna, sarebbe stato un peccato sprecare un talento come il suo). Per questo lo ammiro: ci fa vedere che quando si ha passione, grande determinazione e chiaramente talento (e non ci si piange addosso), i sogni a volte si realizzano. Inoltre penso che questa mancanza di un corso di studi classico, gli rende forse più facile adattarsi e sperimentare diversi stili.

It's Mi Manchi, sung by Min-gue Cho, the leader of the group (standing second from right on the Nella Fantasia stage). By the way, did you know the meaning of the group name "Forestella" was a compound word of Forest (in English) and Stella (star in Italian). They say they love these two words - in forest you get peaceful and cosy feeling, I guess, and looking up the stars in the sky you have hope, dream and yearning, etc. But I wondered why they picked Italian word Stella instead of English word Star. After listening to their songs, I realized they loved to sing Italian songs in Italian. It's not usual for Korean singers to sing Italian songs as many and as often as them, especially in Italian. Nella Fantasia cover is my favourite from Forestella. Its so soothing to d ear evn whn Kang is hitting d v high notes. Evry member sounds great in this song. I used to wonder why Ludo & Cri hs nt reacted to this song by Forestella in their mother tongue.
I've just found another Nella Fantasia performance by Forestella. This time they sing together with So-Hee Song, a star of traditional Korean singing. Song sings Taepyungga, a traditional Korean song meaning a song in time of peace, and joins with Forestella singing together. It's fun to see them singing together - Forestella singing Nella Fantasia and Song singing Taepyungga.
