Brazilian pro surfer Italo Ferreira was the star guest at the grand opening of ‪@rif0103‬, the world's first urban wave pool.
The hyperactive world champion surfer put on a highly entertaining show for all who attended the event held in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on July 6, 2024.
Ferreira was completely stoked and fired up.
The goofy-footer unveiled all his talent, performing acid drops, 360, and aerial moves on the 21-meter wide, 130-meter long wave-generating Dutch canal.

I was thinking the same thing. I life in rotterdam. 20 minutes away from that. I want to try, but seeing that crowd watching you fail might work on my nerfs.

Rotterdam is one of the poorest cities in the Netherlands. 15.4% of Rotterdam residents live below the poverty line. That is more than 80,000 Rotterdam residents. In some neighborhoods, a quarter to a third live in poverty. I just assume this has been resolved first

Even when he has his feet on the ground he makes “Air” Pathetic. And yet there are surfers like Ethan Ewing, JJ Florence or Kelly Slater who must serve as examples. The basis of surfing is “bottom, carve”. Watch Ethan Ewing's videos, it's rare to see him doing "Air". And in the "big" there is fluidity and power. “Bottom, carve”, big carve.
