That was beautiful!! The road was full of enough slight twists and turns, so you could see the whole width of the valley here and there. Absolutely stunning scenery. Hoping you continue on this road in your next video. Thank you for all the hard work you put into your adventures around Europe, and all the hard work you put into getting these videos to us here. Hoping your summer is full of fun adventures to the sky and back!!!

What a road! Great video of a fantastic valley with wonderful nature where you feel the historical tension between nations.

Not necessarily. Anyone driving through such a majestic valley should enjoy the fresh air, the beauty of the snow-capped mountains and most important of all, the freedom to do just that!

I've booked a week in Austria/Switzerland/Northern Italy in September so I'm looking forward to ticking off a few of these mountain passes.

Never realized the lyrics of that amazing song fit the travelling theme so well, thanks for bringing it back into my playlists! The condition of the road might have to do with the Giro d'Italia finish in Anterselva/Antholz at 29 may 2019

ah, you think they resurfaced it for the Giro? In that case, I know some other roads in Südtirol where the Giro could be routed through, for pavement improvement ;-)

Yep each year in april, before the Giro, there are some villages noticing that their long-needed improvements (on the route) suddenly have been carried out faster, while other roads in the area have been ignored. Its no standard though, but it happens😆

Even the road design looks more German than Italian with those long, sweeping bends and no straight sections.

I think Italy should give back South Tyrol to Austria.... The Germans gave back the lands that they annexed. Why not the Italians..???

Probably because Alto-Adige is a region on the southern side of the Alps so totaly contained in the Mediterannean basin so Italian. Also, the german speaking minority is not the autoctonous population of this area but immigrated in Italy during the Middle Ages in search of better pasteurs because of the worse weather of Bavaria / Austria
