Within the mountains of northern Italy is the well know Lake Como. A place that many people do not know, is Lecco. If you're looking for a beautiful, serene place to hideaway from the big city life in Milan, Lecco is the place to visit.

Glad to inspire :) I deserves to be on your bucket list! And you don't even have to stray far from Milan for it. It's great for a day trip or even a half day trip if you're low on time.

Lecco is its own town , its a great place, and the further you go north along the lake there are amazing places, and along the way just outside Lecco go further up the lake is the factory of Moto Guzzi motorcycles. All round its an amazing place. And if you happen to be there in the summer, just ask for a place called " Orsa Maggiore" it's a restaurant/bar and kind of beach club, very popular and been around since the late 70's.
