i'm dying to see a 3-5-2 formation. DiMarco, Bastoni and DiLorenzo (Def), Pellegrini, Frattesi, Jorginho, and Chiesa (Mid). Barella (CAM) and Retegui and Scamacca up front. the 2 strikers are a serious X factor and would push each other to get that goal. They're lacking firepower, so 2 strikers make sense, they're also physical and I think Chiesa, Barella, Scamacca and Retegui would put enough pressure on any major defending club. I hope Spalletti tries that out some time

I am as well and you are precisely correct! We can thank the likes of Seria A club team management for prioritizing foreign player purchases vs. promoting the u 17-u 19 club players into SERIA A senior squads.

Well you are wrong my friend. If you would watch the whole Italian league this year, you would know there are some very good players on the raise. Samacca is going to be the surprise of the tournament and once they all acclimate to the 433 formation, they will become very dangerous. Yeah they have some injuries so there are going to need a few players to step up, but I think they will do well.

Bad take, they don’t have a great Italian team based on Italian teams of yesteryear but they’re talented. Not great but there’s talent and an ability to go far
