Amphibious training provides Marine Raiders with specialized skills needed to operate in diverse environments. During Phase 1 of the Individual Training Course, students learn to operate, navigate, and build the small watercraft known as the zodiac. They are continously evaluated, mentally and physically tested, and must perform a 2k fin in the open ocean prior to proceeding to the next phase of training.

I am really interested in marsoc I want to know more about what they do like, like are the direction action, a support unit, stuff like that. I also want know how raiders are different than seals

MARSOC is a amphibious based special operations force . Basically are the same yet , are trained More on jungle type terrains . MARSOC is harder to get into , my opinion . They don't accept guys straight outta high school . Candidates are already in the USMC and are experienced with military lifestyle . Whereas SEALS will accept anyone who is willing to sign the dotted line . But both are extremely hard , in terms of training .

+Cameron Reverts as far as we know, marsoc is the teir 1 force in the Marine Corps. maybe teir 2 all of the military.

+Ruth Gwashavanhu yeah , MARSOC is the highest within the USMC . But the highest in the entire military . That is Delta Force and DEVGRU

Christian Pagliaro if im not mistaken you have to serve 3 or 4 years . possibly be a corporal first . but their official website says to just serve the 3 or 4 years .

Run at least 20 miles a week, if you can't run 20 miles within a week then work your way up to it(increase the 20-mile run to 28 miles then 38 miles. Then occasionally run 55 miles weekly). Ruck 1-2x a week every 2-3 weeks.(One ruck should be a 9-12 mile ruck with a 45-50 load. Another time you ruck it should be a 60-65lb ruck for 4-6 miles. If this is too hard, lower the weight &/or miles then gradually increase). Do circuit-style workouts 1-2x within a week that consists of pullups, situps, pushups & dumbbell farmers carry(or pullup bar hangs) just keep altering between the 4 exercises for 30 mins, non stop unless you need to rest 15secs-3mins due to lack of fitness. Lastly, lifting weights 2-4 times a week. Just focus on the compound moves(bench, back squat, deadlift, rows, pullups, overhead press & dips every now & then), do 6-10 reps one week then 12-15 reps another week then keep alternating. To summarize, -do bodyweight circuit style workouts for 30 mins(if this is too hard lower the time & use easier progressions of exercises & add rest inbetween). -Ruck every 2-3 weeks 1-2 times a week(one heavy ruck day for a short distance & a light ruck for a long distance) -Run 20 miles a week(AT LEAST but build up to 28 & then 38 miles a week) -Lift weights & do compound exercises only, alter between low 6-10 reps & higher 12-15 reps every week. -(I almost forgot) swimming: every 2 weeks, do 10 sets of 100 meter swims 2-3 times within a week. So swim 100 meters, rest abt 30 secs then swim another 100 meters, until you've done 10 100 meter swims.(If this is too hard, lower the distance, lower the sets, increase the rest time & gradually increase over time)

If you're a fat guy, use a bike for cardio instead of running. Either do the whole30 diet to lose weight or track your calories using an app & eating 300-400 cals less than maintenance calories(which is 2,500 for males. So 2,500-300-400 cals is you do the math)
