It’s really tough to know if you should spend the sugar and gold to upgrade your new item when you can’t see its stats at every level. You may also be uncertain if you should be sticking with your high level uncommon items or use your low level epics items.
Although higher rarity items are always better in the long term, you may be missing out on a lot of rewards by being weaker in the short term. Most players will likely spend most of their time playing Battle Bay with items between uncommon and epic rarity.
Uncommon items are easy to get and good for newer players but you end up hitting the level limit for items quickly on uncommon items because you don’t have the talents to evolve them yet.
Rare items are an excellent middle ground. They are not too difficult to get as long as you keep playing, and they are still powerful enough to climb up the leaderboard. The approach I recommend players take is to focus on getting a full set of rare items leveled up to your limit. As you play, hold on to any epics that you think you might use down the road. Once you get a duplicate of an epic item that you like, you can make the switch to that epic item.
If you do like to spend money on Battle Bay (Which if you do, thank you for supporting the game), you might be better off skipping straight ahead to epic items. Epic items are used all the way up to the top league so you will definitely be using them in the long run.
At the end of the day, choosing which item to use will be up to you as there will always be a benefit and a drawback to whichever decision you make. Let me know if you have any further questions in the comments below!
