I have taught old school TKD for 40 years, boxed for 10. He is off balance when punching. Too much lean and his feet leave the ground. His footwork is off because his weight shifts to his mid sole. Still better than 90 percent of TKD practitioners.

Ser magro é um problema no Taekwon-Do? Taekwon-Do não é boxe.

@@dangun605 No it’s not boxing. But an advanced practitioner who takes up boxing will improve his/her game a lot.

TKD isn't about ground fighting, only time your on the ground should be if you got knocked tf out

Good fighters feint and use a technique called “Attack By Drawing” (ABD) . This is when you attempt to draw in your opponent to attack a certain area of your body to allow you to dodge or defend and counter to the attack and hit a particular area of their body. It is a skill that takes a lot of practice to perfect and comes with experience if you have been trained to do it. Taekwondo practitioners have this as part of strategic planning of attack. However other strategies are just as effective if they are done well enough eg: Single Direct Attacks (SDA) ala Jon Jones who is by far the best fighter the ufc has ever seen. His main arsenal of striking is solid SDA’s to the correct vital points of the opponent conserving energy and getting the job done efficiently against the best MMA fighters in the world . Goes to show you don’t need to complicate things, if you can attack with intelligence and confidence to the vital points job is done .

So many Tae Kwon Do schools de emphasize punching to a detrimental degree. This was BEAUTIFUL demonstration of proper punching technique, and the importance (in particular for self defense purposes) of throwing full force punches.

for self defense, you don't want to use punches in a real fight

Scottish TAGB fighters I'd say are the most skilled, they are on another level.

basicamente habla de un sistema de combate que no existe en ningun lado salvo en Argentina. Sisetma de movilidad y steps. Especificamente dice, lo tienen algunos competidores top class, especialmente los argentinos

This is never going to match Muay Thai or Boxing, but I will say that this guy is way more legit than other ITF guys.

+carlos sarmiento Go and learn taichi and go in a kickboxing fight. Nothing against Taichi though, just that not all martial arts are created equal.

kinda ridiculous way of thinking. No tai chi or pa kua guy would enter UFC. Thats an obvious statement. Too obvious. When I say no martial art better or worse, I give it for granted. Sorry for my english, Spanish is my native language.
