I would love to have seen the locos on the dyno at prr back when they were doing that. Tying down a 6000hp steam engine on a set of rollers in a building and running it full bore had to have been wild!!
absolutely love your works i wish i had just a fraction of the mental strength you have, i would be up at 6 and be doing literally anything before 10 am.
Thank you for the video. It's great to watch all your videos, because even I live far away from you, it is so wonderfull to watch the videos about your work.
Good idea. Most of the time when we are running I am too busy with keeping things working smoothly to remember to shoot video or photos. I need to get one of our members to handle this.
Looking at your property from a "sky view" looking down, have you ever considered elevating the end of the rail line in front of your property (roadside) to 16-20 feet above the ground, swinging it into a tight "U"-turn to the North side of your property and then back East to a slow descent and back into the rails behind your main buildings? This would make for a spectacular sight from the road (especially if part of the elevation is done in a wooden trestle style) and would also create the possibility of operating two separate routes two separate engines could travel upon without having to wait for one or the other to pass by in an opposing direction.
This is a very nice idea in theory and the track is currently at a grade that would allow this BUT. That would be a monumental undertaking. With many other projects in the backlog that project is not on the realm of possibilities. A more reasonable goal would be to purchase more land for a ground level loop.
