I can sing along with this song Word for Word, but if you would ever ask me who sang it, I couldn’t have told you if my life depended on it. I’ve never heard of Mel Carter before. Isn’t that funny how things can slip by you for decades. That was a lovely video of him singing the song and I’ll remember him now.
Sarah, glad you enjoyed this beautiful song so much Mels voice is superb. In 2025 this great song will be 60 yrs old. I love it as much as I did in 65. Gloria Estefan covered , it's very good too.
@@jhonnygladstone4631 I truly believe 50s doo-wop is SO underrated! Most people nowadays just think it's old fashioned and stupid, and that's a pity, some of the best voices of all time were in doo-wop!!
@@ChuckRagland you right the expressive feeling of the songs, words music and singers will be never found any more. Song as Up the Roof river deep mountain high for example are unique in all history of music. 🫶
Great voice! "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me" was Mel Carter's biggest hit in 1965. He had some other songs such as "When A Boy Falls In Love", "Band Of Gold", "All Of A Sudden My Heart Sings" etc.
