I can't tell you how much I love this video and what great memories it brings. I served in the Navy and was stationed in San Diego for 4 years. I didn't wanna stay in the barracks, so I bought a small place and lived in a San Diego barrio for much of that time. So... here I am, a white boy from the midwest, I'm not gonna blow smoke up your ass and say it wasn't a "culture shock" at first, because it certainly was. But all that changed one day when I showed up to a barbeque with a couple cases of Modelo and simply said "I just wanna get to know my new neighbors". They gave me the nickname "Snowman" 🤣 and I loved it. You Chicanos have such a rough exterior and clearly are guys nobody should ever fuck with, but I never went out of my way to do so, and I got to see what great guys you truly are and had some of the best times of my life hanging out with you. Maybe one of these days when I come back, we can kick it again. I'll be sure to bring the Modelo.
