Useful app. In case anyone is trying to install this in Photoshop CC 2024, the right location for the folder is "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC" and not "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Plug-ins" as it says in the read_me_win64.pdf file.

Thanks Martin. I shot film from about 1980 up to the early 2000s. I missed the film revival but in recent months I’ve started shooting again. I’m conscious the hybrid digital/film processing is all new to me so great to have clear explanation like this.

I've been using their sharpening routine for decades. I'm amazed its still available. Never use the rest of it. I'll have to give it more use. Thanks for sharing. Only the oldies will have heard of it. Regards mate.

Thanks for the video tutorial Martin. Lots of good information there. I enjoyed the video almost as much as your Contrast Grading and PWF Tutorials on CD from years ago. Some people are getting old, but it definitely ain't us. 😀

I've used Photokit and Photokit Sharpener since the beginning - the reason run Photoshop in Rosetta on my M1 Max Studio (very little in Photoshop is at this point not working that way). I just can't get away from a number of the controls in PhotoKit and a couple in Sharpener - especially Auto Dimensional sharpening brushed in on people. I'm an all B&W photographer. sharpener

Sadly it won’t load on latest Mac OS. I used to use the sharpening for both capture & output when scanning film & output printing from digital cameras. Smart sharpen gets close & I find it more consistent than Topaz plugins. However Tony Kuyper has just released a free PS plugin for printing which includes output sharpening. There are free videos showing how to use. Defaults seem too aggressive to me on first use, but you get option to modify. However they are done on layer as smart object, so you can amend at later stage.

It will load in latest os if you set Photoshop to open in Rosetta - losing very little of PS.

Does anyone know if this also works in Affinity Photo, like some other plug-ins do? I have both PS and Affinity, so I can get use out of it regardless, but it would be nice if it works in both.
