I feel called out by the pre-order comment lmao, its sad though considering this was the ONE game I ever pre-ordered considering how much I ate up CS1, only for it to end up collecting dust in my steam library. Ah well, back to my completely disorganized mod/asset heavy CS1 save

The only game I have ever pre-ordered was Cyberpunk 2077 and we all know how that went. So when CS:2 was announced and all the Dev videos and hype was created, I was firm that I'm not going to get burnt twice by pre-ordering it. Glad I did not budge and haven't bought the game yet.

I played it too polite - I tried to dispute the payment with Xsolla (they were the payment processor for pre-orders)... They told me to speak to someone at CO - I emailed CO about getting refunded, they said to deal with Xsolla. The amount of time between, Paypal closed my dispute cause it took so long to get a response, and now I can't dispute it anymore. @@babyrage1763

Man I spent almost $100 on this game and I’m forced to play it cause I can’t refund anymore after 130 hours. I got an rtx 4080 for this game and it still runs at 40 fps just like cs1. I’m heading back to my 50 mods and 5000 assets in cs1

Sentences I never thought I'd say: I *want to agree with Trump here* In any case, I think you're doing the right thing by a) making your opinion clear even, or especially, when uts rather critical of a game you helped promote, even if I dont always agree and b) by going back to the game that imo makes for better content and that *you* actually love playing. If and when CO gets the game in order it'll still be there to pick it up again.

I'm one of the people who spent over $2000 for a new pc driven entirely by wanting to be able play CS2. My copium: at least I can now play CS1 with a lot more mods and assets.

I installed the game as of this morning. I wanted to enjoy it, but the bugs are killing me. CCPs investigation into the land value bug, proving that the saves will break no matter what you do, brought me to the conclusion that I am putting the game away and might come back in a years time.

It's not new..I made a video about why this game was broken and unfinished the day before release. Other than a few tutorials that had a more neutral tone, I've been pointing out how busted it was in most videos and so have other creators like Imperatur, FewCandy and a few others....it's just gotten to the point where it's gone too long without any meaningful improvements and lots of empty promises and nothingburger updates. I don't blame others for also leaving. But my decision to leave serious CS2 content (mostly) behind was motivated by my own intense dislike of playing the game.

I posted that comment since I watch Biffas video about the same thing literally a couple of hours ago, and have been seeing videos on my feed about this topic for about a week. Main consensus is everyone wanted this game to be great, they spend a lot on marketing, and then published a game that clearly needed at least a year in development. It's sad.

Based on how version 1 was released over time I expected nothing less from version 2 with the pay-to-patch model of selling DLC's which is verified from a statement by CO. I was surprised that version 2 ended up being so much worse. I warned people not to pre-purchase and was instantly labeled as "toxic". Funny how the band on the wagon is playing a different tune now.

The only way I see cs2 coming back is if they DONT add new content for a minute, why? Well if they do it might break the game a little more, maybe less performance, and more things What they SHOULD do is Dubble down on the game currently Fix bugs, improve performance, maybe some ui elements. but over all The game needs to be working before you add new content! Otherwise things will keep getting delayed

I've tried, I wanted to love it I've played so much trying understand how it works and... your right it just doesn't give the same feelings as CS1.
