Whatever guard you have up, when Floor's voice comes in she cut's thru it like a fresh sharpened butcher knife and get's you right into your soul and while your bleeding out you feel satisfied.Go for high hopes, without Floor but a real great song! Even Gilmore gave tribute to it!

In portugal i remember this song starts to play in radio, and it was the most radio song ever from them since the 90´s. This song on radio (the studio original) made them to be noticed. somewere between 2002 to 2004....

On a desert island with just one recording of High Hopes to listen to for the rest of my life it would be the Nightwish tribute. It may also be Emppu’s best guitar work.

It's important to Keep in mind this was shot in early August and Floor had turing constantly with the band since she joined them to finish their north America leg of their past tour roughly 6-8 months. They haven't gone to studio to record new songs so she is still singing songs written for other singers..... and owning them.... that is all

The guys have stated that this wasn't a standard cover, it was sung as a tribute to Pink Floyd as they are all fans The Gringa - The keyboardist who composes the songs (Tuomas) is highly influenced by Disney, and Floor has done fantastic covers of "Let It Go" and "Into The Unknown". She was pestered by her daughter during lockdown 😉 We would be happy if you wanted to put on subtitles so that you can see the lyrics on screen when you react. They are not always correct but they are pretty good

That was here first time in front of such a huge crowd (82k people) in Europe....but watch yourself and see...you will like it. All Hail Queen Floor !

Enjoyed your reaction! This song is from their Imaginaerium album, a concept album based on an old composer on his death bed relieving the memories of his life. One of Tuomas's favorite topics or themes in his music is lost innocence. As a poet and artist Tuomas values the sense of wonder and imagination that innocent children have. In Storytime the composer is remembering the joy he got from childhood tales, thus the references to Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland (Tuomas often uses literary references in his lyrics and as inspiration for songs). It is through these childhood stories that we discover ourselves and who we are (I am the story that will read you real). Song is inspired by a popular British Christmas movie The Snowman. Storytime" was born when Tuomas wondered why no-one had made a remake of the film, and pondered on what his version of the score to the scene in which "Walking in the Air" plays would sound like. Tuomas ""How would it feel to take a midnight flight with a snowman through the most wondrous landscapes, like in the classic animated Yuletide film? The meaning of our very existence is created though stories, tales and imagination. They are at the very core of humanity." Walking on the Air is a very popular Christmas song in the UK and Finland and Nightwish did a beautiful cover of it with their first singer Tarja that is worth reacting to.

One of the best NW songs (in my humble opinion). That drop from operatic back to heavy towards the end is simply epic. Great reaction. Keep up the good work. Dark Chest of Wonders is a great opener of this same concert. Song of Myself is one of my top favorites along with Storytime. Ok so this whole concert is amazing.

Yes, Nightwish is a group made up of ultra-talented musicians who play for the song. No egos here. You never get bored because every song is different and there isn't a bad song in the bunch. Someone else suggested High Hopes next. I totally agree. Time for you to see what Marko (and Emppu) can do.

Funny that you should mention it, but this song is from a horror movie. It's called 'Imaginaerum'. It was written by Tuomas (Keyboards) and stars the members of the band. Weak Fantasy is one of my absolute favorites also try a newer song Tribal . I seen them in Boston in 2021 by far my favorite concert ever . I flew half way across the USA to see them so worth it !

124 Spider here...Hey Miss. You love Disney? Floor Jansen sang this song to her daughter. During the time of Covid 19. Her daughter spent all her time watching the film and so Floor decided that this would be her first song on her RU-vid channel. "Let It Go" from the Movie Frozen.

A fool for Disney? Well.....maybe you should do Floor Jansen's cover of 'Let It Go'. :)

This is our Valkyrie Goddess for you. And you witnessed a second time a "Dutch Windmill" , and to finish you off, The Operatic "Cruise Missile" !!!! Floor has 3 distinct styles. Head banging(straight forward, then back), hair whip(almost like cracking a bull whip) and the Windmill(continuous 360 degree revolutions). Why Windmill? Well she is Dutch. Awesome tune , although it is kind of a pop/rockish sound (originally sung by Anette, the second singer of Nightwish), but Floor gave it soooo much POWER !!! Including this "Operatic" part, what was originally done by children's choir because vocal limitations on their second singer (Great singer also, I might add), but Floor has none of that "Limit". Nightwish lyrics are often a bit interpretive, and not as "straight forward" as many other bands, because Tuomas ( The Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen: founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and the main composer for Nightwish.) prefers people to put their own interpretations and life experiences into the lyrics. you connect with songs on a personal level when there is something there that relates to things you have gone/are going through, and you may even find new connections later on in life when you have gone through other big events/emotions. there might be songs you are quite indifferent about (oh, nice song) and then you go through something big and all of a sudden it makes you break down in tears because now you relate to something in the lyrics you didn't before, and see it from a whole new perspective. imagination and life experiences are powerful, and Tuomas has great appreciation of this. As for the High Hopes... YES !!! NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA 🤘😎🤘.

Hey peeps, this is 1 of my favs, long time ago I realized "a favorite" was NOT possible with Nightwish. I have many favorites a playlist of favs in fact with 26 songs just added "Perfume of the Timeless". 🎸7 Days to the wolves🎸 heavy must do. Lighter side 🎶Ever Dream🎶. They have so many flavors, much later 🎸The Poet and the Pendulum🎸 only after you do your homework though so you understand what is going on in the live performance. Watching for the next!

Every time is see Floor doing the windmill I cringe as I have a herniated disk in my neck and trying it would put me in hospital! 😂😂 I love watching Jukka on this video. Great reaction guys. Just a side note. The video and audio are slightly out of sync. The video is ahead of the audio but only a fraction of a second. You two seem like it would be such a blast to hang out with.
