Jon takes command, Sansa arrives at Winterfell, Arya starts to understand what No One means, the High Sparrow makes a friend, the Mountain twitches, Brienne softens a bit toward the ever-adorable Podrick and Jorah meets up with Tyrion … what could possibly happen next? Hmmmm …

Sansa marrying Ramsay is a departure from the books. In the books, Ramsay marries a girl named Jeyne Poole. She is a childhood friend of Sansa whom Littlefinger claimed was Arya. Sansa is still in the Erye engaged the Jon Aryn's named heir (after Robyn). A guy named Harry.

Don't feel bad for Janos Slynt, remember he betrayed Ned and killed an infant in season 2.

Melisandre said in season 3 that Stannis’s fire burns too low for her to make a shadow baby. Also she goes into this into the books too

The girl in the Brothel had her hair covering her face, she was representing the Stanger from the Seven Gods, and the Stranger represents death. I’m sure someone has said this in the comments already but the Boltons and Theon are at Winterfel. They didn’t explicitly say it, but in season 4 episode 8 when it last shows Ramsey and Theon they are marching with the army towards a castle which actually is Winterfel. So they took over Winterfel and are doing repairs in it currently. Moat Calyn isn’t a castle that you’d want to live in, it’s more of a strategic battle castle/fort

And here begins the destruction of Littlefinger's character. He literally says to Ramsay that he doesn't know anything about him. Since when has Littlefinger done anything that wasn't meticulously thought through and planned? I really believe this is where the show as a whole begins to go downhill. There are still great, memorable moments to come, but they're so hollow when there is so much nonsense surrounding them.

Jon is actually learning good leadership from Stannis when Stannis said if they don’t fear you then they won’t follow you. So Jon had to put down Janos to make sure everyone else would stay in line. Also, when Janos said he was always afraid, Jon knew he has to kill him because Jon knows they their true battle is against the white walkers and the army of the dead and that the humans can’t afford to have people who are scared like that on their side, can’t have cowards fighting with you. Cowards flee and leave people to die, cowards cause people to die. Jon knows this. It’s explained in the books. Plus Jon also knows that Janos was the one in season one who listened to Joffrey while on stage and had Ned get his head choppped off. Janos was the main one who helped carry the order. Jon knows this. Wish they would’ve explained that bit in the show because it is a little bit of revenge for what happened to Ned

Brienne's story hits close to home for me. Anyone who has ever been asked out as a prank knows that pain and it's devastating.

In 5th season not much rare moment like Red Wedding or Baelor but its will be good bridge for season 6th that so EPIC.

Latrines are military toilets, yes. Usually just a hole in the ground, or possibly a trench if the army is big enough. Digging latrines is lowest level military work, but still done today in most places. Since armies are often on the move, carrying facilities around with them isn't worth the effort.

This marks the point in the series that I would like to call: "Wait, What?! This doesn't make sense!" And there's so many to come. Petyr is doing horrible job selling Sansa away and undermining her trust in him. Lannisters will hate him, Sansa will hate him and there's not enough gain for him in here. Trust from Boltons? People had north for few months? In the book's Sansa was engaged to a lad she could and did manipulate like Margery did and who was second in line for Ayre. Little finger was def not letting her out of sight ever again.

Think about it. Littlefinger wants her in there so he can control the North. The Bolton's are having problems controlling the Northerners. They like a Stark in control. Roose knows having Sansa will help solidlfy his rule. Littlefinger is just trying to create more chaos and rise through the ashes. Sansa is his protégé. If Sansa is there she may become the power in the North and be a great ally to the Vale. Where his other protégé is, Robbyn Arryn. He's also bedpartners with the Tyrell's. Sansa is ingratiated with the same people. He is creating one hell of a social network. Actually, it's a whole katabasis episode. Arya is in Hell. Sansa's in Hell. Jon's in Hell. And Tyrion's in Hell.

This episode shows how stupid Cersei is she could have just arrested the High Sparrow making friends with the actual High Priests verus making pacts with radicald

This episode infuriates me - it's the first time where Littlefinger's character gets destroyed. He loves Sansa, he'd never give her away. He's smart and should be aware that the entire north HATES the boltens - siding with them is stupid. Giving Sansa away to them was the dumbest possible move.

You still can say things won't happen. It's so cute. Seriously, though, this is a very illogical plotline. The plot is from the book, but it wasn't Sansa's. (Since Sansa's marriage has not been annulled, it really doesn't make much sense that she could marry anyone under her own name while on the run from the crown.)

You get a pardon for a crime. Jorah sold slaves. Ned sentenced him to death. He got a pardon for spying on Dany. Why would he need another pardon?

I have never loved any television character as much as I love Brienne. I really enjoyed seeing her and Pod open up to each other in this episode.

Brienne in the books is actually, canonically ugly physically, and yet Jaime thinks of her A LOT after their travels together. Gwendoline Christie can pull off plain sometimes, with a lot of effort, so it's quite different in a way.

The whole marrying Sansa to Ramsay really ticked me off... I wanted no one dead more than him... As for Jorah... he's a pretty smart man. I liked Jorah... he's probably one of the best characters... he wasn't at first... but yeah... I think my favorites are John, Tyrian... and the dragons. Always the dragons. They are what made me keep watching the show after they killed Ned in season 1... I was so pissed.
