Having 'discovered' you via Lucia Fumero, I'm now a firm fan, not just of this series but of ALL your music ... even and especially your student exercises from Berklee! It's not hard to see why Jacob Collier chose you to join his tour and to feature in his NPR Tiny Desk concert, and why artists of the stature of Eric Clapton, Judit Neddermann and Ariza have agreed to take your 'ITSA ME ... ' call. Your Trevo cover from 2 years ago is still one of my favourites, but this new one with Mirella Costa is running a close second! R (Australia)
You guys complete each other so beautifully well. I think its the duet I love the most from this project, each of the duets of you both since you recorded and uploaded home videos at Berkeley. I wish it was still online. or even better you guys should issue a LP [please do!!]

It's not live. Most likely the person playing the instrument (Maro in this case) plays and records a track and then sends it to the other person who then performs their part to the provided track. Then, I assume, Maro just edits the two separate audio and video tracks together.
