17:10 - the sound is identical to the voiceover of the officers in another episode when a car reverses back up a motorway sliproad. Masking swearing maybe, or just lazy editing? (edit) My money is on the latter, cos the horn from the lorry in the following clip is blatantly dubbed in.
Hi edutainment edutainment please upload police camera action episodes driven to distraction international patrol the liver run and rust buckets please as you can ☺
03:11 Haha it wasn't stolen, and it was an old Austrian Puch "Maxi" moped (1977). He had just been driving it around for months without any tax (often drunk) and it was only this time that the cops happened to take notice of him. I think someone called cops when he was seen leaving the pub and getting on the bike. As obviously, he was not fit to be riding.
IIRC the lad in that clip did a tv interview a while later basically saying that he was drunk and didn't know what he was doing at the time. Hopefully he wised up after that.
Having watched the seaview coaches driver tailgating, I had a policy of driving a bit slower, say if I was going 50mph, drop to 47mph, then 45mph until they took the hint, the more they tried to intimidate, the more stubborn I got But eventually I just stuck at the speed limit and let them sit there, it had the same effect, pissed them off
Looking at that clip I'm not sure we're being shown the whole story - when the coach moves out to overtake the car it looks as if the car deliberately cuts in front of the coach and slows down to block it. More likely a road rage incident than just tailgating I think.
I knew somebody who reckoned that as he was (in his opinion) a "superb driver" on video games, he would be a "superb driver" out on the road, and could drive recklessly and still be safe, but he was only ever able to talk a good drive, but never took a test, so only ever talked crap
Cheers. The date refers to when I recorded the program, not necessarily the original transmission date. If the program is a repeat, then the repeat will have the following year's date. I use the recorded date so if I ever need to go back to the original VHS recording, I know where to look. When I've uploaded more of these programs I'll number them in sequence. :-)
