Paul. The itv x app on my LG still doesn’t allow live tv. Just all prerecorded rubbish

For how much ITV was hyping this up, its a pretty poor effort. Image quality whilst better than itv hub, still isn't as good as BBC and other streaming sites. Also compared with the Freeview feed the framerate isn't as high, especially on sports which looks really bad with its low frame rate.

Fyi, you don’t need a tv licence to watch ITVX only if you watch the live broadcast.

Hi Paul thanks for that , got a quick question when I click on a programme to watch on live I can't get rid of the menu on the left hand side so I can view full screen I've tried hovering the mouse cursor over the full screen icon but it doesn't do anything, driving me mad Aby suggestions

Very strange, my old Samsung and new Hisense updated to ITV X without any manual intervention. Perhaps LG don't have automatic updates for apps? In any case, having tried it, i struggled to find anything new worth watching. I much prefer channel 4.

@Thetechgiant, hi there Paul, sorry about your private matters. I know in a previous video you where talking about certain show's and apps been geo restricted. I'M in Ireland and I can't even see the ITV X, APP here in Ireland. Is there any work around this bud ? My nephew lives in the UK and is willing to use his details to get access to the ITV X APP, it's not much good if he shares code's ect because as I said when I go into the app store on Nvidia shield pro are my Android phone I just can't see this App. I have a C1 and C2 but I'd appreciate any help in trying to resolve this issue. I posted elsewhere....i too had thus issue get the home banner up then find the LG content store then using thr search glass top right key in on the screen itvx it should find it ...internet connected too.....! Then install update etc should be ok after that .

I've not got a Sony to test. But if running the app doesn't kick it into updating, or there are no itv Hub updates, we'll it maybe worth deleting the app off and then reinstalling it. Worth a try.

To fix that u have to turn off the hdmi link from ur console so basically if u have a ps5 or Xbox series x or s turn off vrr I think that’s what fixes it
