i became a midzy in 2022. sneakers is my first comeback as a midzy and when i tell you it was a nightmare, i am not joking. i've seen so many hate towards the girls. i am not the type to join fanwars but at some point i was not able to control myself bec i wanted to defend them. it's exhausting, bec most of haters do not really think rationally and they enjoy hating these precious girls. i had to stop using twitter at some point bec it started to affect my mental health. i was hurt thinking how could they hate these girls so much. ITZY gives me so much joy and comfort and it hurts knowing i cannot do the same bec there's so much hate going on. but I am proud that despite all of that, I stayed beside them. I never got tired of loving them and their music. I slowed down on being a twt midzy but I still listen to their songs everyday. I still watch their contents. and it made my midzy heart happy again. this song, bet on me, made me feel all the hurt again. each line the girls were singing are like knives that cuts through my heart. each of their individual parts in the video fits so much on how evil people made them feel. the only consolation i get is that i know they will always be at each other's side, itzy is forever five. no matter what happens, they will be each other's comfort and strength. though i know it's not enough so i am also thankful to REAL midzys who never left. i know how important REAL midzys are for them, so I hope we all give our best to support and protect these girls. 💜 ITZY, as always, thank you for your hardwork. 💜

This song showcases some crazy good vocals and we should be focusing on how incredible the girls sound and how great this MV is especially for visuals, they're incredible.

This is one of my favourite itzy's songs...I like the soft beat and I can feel the emotions coming from this song

This MV is packed with symbolisms especially if we take into account the struggles each member has went through in the past or just based on their overall personality. Yeji here is seen running non-stop throughout the MV, this could mean that her way of coping through hard times is to keep on moving and to constantly work on herself, and since she's their leader we can see the other members follow after her implying that she carries the burden of each members fears and anxieties, another detail I need to point out is at the beginning we see her bring up the hood of her jacket which could represent a sense of doubt that fits the overall them of this song. But by the end we see the hood falling which could mean she has "killed her doubt" hence why we see her gaining the needed confidence to make that jump by the end, each member has their own form of killing their doubt in this MV. Lia we can see here is sorting through what seems like an attic full of boxes, looking for one specific box, and inside that box is another Lia, the attic and boxes could be a metaphor for her mind and her trying to bring out the other Lia holding a teddy bear. This could be a glimpse on how she struggled with depression back in the day especially when she was involved in that false bullying accusation that almost ruined her career. Ryujin as we all know and Yeji has shared in an old Vlive, tends to keep to herself, hence why we see her lock the door to her room as well as closing up the curtains, and in that room we see how there's like a storm brewing with items flying all over the place, implying that she tends to overthink. But we also see her staring at the door with a longing look which could be interpreted as her wanting to open up, and this is just another detail I picked up but inside that room is an aquarium with 5 goldfishes in it which could represent Itzy. And Chaeryeong, oh my lovely Chaeryeong, we all know the insane amount of hate she got especially during her early years in Itzy and even during pre-debut which without a doubt affected her a lot, here we see her walking and suddenly the scene transitions to what could be interpreted as the inside of her mind, we see a lot of after images of Chaeryeong which could imply how she's incredibly self conscious and has struggled with poor self esteem, we also see her looking at another Chaeryeong with her face all bruised and balled up in a corner implying that she constantly brings herself down due to all the hate she got, which could somewhat hold true since I remember in that 1 It'z Playtime episode where she was asked if she's the prettiest in Itzy she just says a very dismissive "No" no matter how many times the question was repeated by the kid. And finally there's Yuna, we all know she cares a lot about her image, which also holds true in this MV since in the train we see a lot of photos of her plastered all over and how she's constantly looking at them, even when staring through that window where the other people are she still sees herself which could be interpreted as her always being concerned on how people see her. And we all know she always gets hate for the simple act of being herself. But we also see that when Chaeryeong grabs Yuna's hand and leads the way through that sea of people she seems happy which could imply that she leans on the other members or maybe Chaeryeong specifically for strength since Chaeryeong has suffered through similar struggles. And by the end we see all 5 members running towards the tunnel where the light shines, which could imply 2 things that they're free of these burdens and have worked through them or they're just finally getting there. So just my own two cents on this emotional rollercoaster of an MV, I've been their fan since pre-debut and have followed them through all their ups and downs and I could just see the connections in this MV and their real life struggles. But still, take this with a grain of salt since at the end of the day I'm still a fan and I don't know what really goes through their minds. So in a world full of hate and injustice let's keep showing these girls the love they wholeheartedly deserve till the very end. (P.S. I made this at around 3AM and I wasn't able to fully gather my thoughts so I had to add/touch up a few things in this analysis.)
