As for her nasal sound, it has to do with Korean vocalization itself.Korean vowels and pronunciation are more nasal than English. Since she sings in Korean, I think she is more specialized in these vocalizations than English speakers. Anyway, as a Korean, I enjoyed watching video.
20:03 bbibbi is not about a credit card 😄 This is her warning yellow card for rude people. It is a very old thing for Korean singers to mix English with their lyrics! more than 20 years..? +)I highly recommend Seventeen's Killing Voice to you!
also iu said that she was a little sick during this performance, so this might have also contributed to that more nasal sound. imo if you compare it to her other performances/videos, her voice (even her talking voice) sounds slightly different.
Yellow Card, is referencing a penalty card it's about fans both online and offline crossing the line when it comes tk celebrities. The phrase "we don't own them anything" man's they don't have have to deal with it. Coin is actually about her writing method when it comes to songs IU gets lost in her head when writing she said she may forget to eat or sleep as her only focus is on writing. The phrase "I'm all in" is referring to her state of mind
As a Korean, I say actually many Korean young girls make nasal sounds when they speak, because they believe it makes them sound cuter, or maybe because boys love it.
You keep mention anime song. FYI. IU did a korean version an anime song Yumiero Patissiere. You can check it out here. [IU] '꿈빛 파티시엘' dlwlrma Clip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bgQIzPnPI88.html
IU, Song So Hee, Taeyeon and Jeong Eunji are my favourite female Korean singers, all four are very different but incredible in their own right, I think all of them have killing voice videos.
Why the people who left comments on me here always erase their comments later??? 🤯🤬 Is here something to hide???? or did they feel guilty with their foul-mouth? I’ve seen at least 20 comments disappeared.
She has numerous plagiarism allegations, but she remains silent without explanation. And her agency blocks videos which raise these issues and deletes comments. Her agency is also under investigation by government agencies for manipulating favorable public opinion. Besides them, she has a lot of problems. 😬
It's just allegations and none came from the artists or the recording company that own the so-called "original" songs, if any....Notwithstanding, most allegations are based on the accuser not understanding what is the right definition of plagiarism....just because two songs sounds alike, that doesn't mean it's plagiarized...perhaps it's chord is similar and perhaps they are soundalikes. At the end of the day, it's perfectly legal to have a song that sounds very similar to another song as long as the melody isn't exactly copied. That in itself, is a very reason why none of the plagiarism claim came from any other artists or recording companies. Simply said, the accuser is either tone deaf or have no music background whatsoever. The sad part is many of the clueless seems to believe something that they themselves couldn't understand....Nevertheless, these haters are minimal in numbers, almost negligible, and IU is still popular and have been more popular despite all these allegations. Her concert is always a sold-out and her music keeps going top of the chart, everytime they went out.....
@@azra_aurora10 And as you said, the plagiarism controversy is ambiguous, so it is better to express her opinion. I like music, and I am interested in various genres. also, I’ve played various instruments for a long time. But I got the impression that many of the suspicious songs were too similar, or that the composer was trying to cleverly construct and get out of the ‘incomplete law’. Of course, I don't think all songs are plagiarism, but some suspicions remain. And just by listening to them, you can immediately feel that they are similar. A lot of people feel that way. I'm not an expert in composition, but I have basic musical knowledge and experience, and I'm never so stupid that I can't tell the difference between plagiarism and reference. I can also understand and distinguish idiomatic code, general flow. And if she’s a true artist, in a way, this kinds of references seems a little funny. The boundary between plagiarism and reference is ambiguous. I also know how much reference can be abused as a creator of other fields myself, and I feel difficulty in creating and conscience as a creator. That's why IU and the creator should explain this controversy, and I think members of society should talk in a better direction for the development of the music industry. Also, it is reasonable for all the controversial person to state their position. But she hasn't commented on the serious plagiarism controversy for at least six months, posting photos on Instagram and recruiting fan clubs. Fans and the public demanding clarification even come to her Instagram to argue, and she even erases the comment without replying even though she must have seen it. In the past, she has similarly moved on without explaining the controversy properly, which makes people even angrier. Now, Koreans feel betrayed by the use of sophisticated and hateful references and frequent plagiarism controversies in the Korean music industry, and want to improve the Korean music industry in a more honest and original way. And her handling of the controversy is all the more reprehensible.
IU does all the backing vocals. 😄 She debuted as a soloist instead of in a girl group because her voice is too unique that it stands out from a group. Her live vocals are better than the recordings which is why it's better to listen to her sing live and her recent 2 day concert The Golden Hour sold out 88k seats within a few minutes with more than 400k still in queue. 💖💖💖
Because of IU, I entered the world of K-Pop, and yet I didn't like anyone but IU, she's so different, I fall in love with her as a singer, writer, actress, MC, and even when she does iutv content for her fans, she calls her fans cute nicknames and calls them my friends.
She debut at the age 15, and she gonna turn 30 this may. She has been a singer for 15 years, so her discography, singing style, skill, tones did evolved multiple times over such a long period. After her initial debut contract that lasts for 7 years, when she sign for her new contract, she got her music production right, and begin to write and produce some of her own songs, and begin her age series from "23"," Palette"(25), "Eight"(28) and next one is supposingly at her age 32 which is mirrored to her beginning of age series 23.
IU is recognized as the best artist in Korea. IU has a very good voice and good singing ability. Also, IU's song lyrics are famous for beautiful lyrics like a poem. Please react to more various IU songs (with English lyrics ^^)
IU is 29 years old now. Beside as a singer she is also an actress and she's really popular in korea whenever she release her song it always no.1 in all korean charts.
IU writes her own songs and has won the Writer of the Year award several timesShe doesn't write random songs! She has a philosophical depth that I have not seen with any other artist, and the meaning of the yellow card in the song BBIBBI is a warning card for not interfering in the affairs of others and not crossing the permissible line! And as a celebrity, people will talk about you and explain all your actions
She has numerous plagiarism allegations, but she remains silent without explanation. And her agency blocks videos which raises these issues and deletes comments. @@Eres0494uytplease, even the alleged "original" composer and singer had come out to say IU did not plagirise them. Please do further research before you are saying something thats not true. Media control? when even the PRESIDENT OF KOREA does not have the power to control the media. IU cant control these reporters and artist that comes out to vouch for her.
@@sasha.v_v the people who are '@ user - letters and numbers' are most likely from South Korea and are mad at IU for dating Lee Jong Suk. They will not listen to a word you say against their own beliefs. The slander and rumor mill is on a whole other level there. It is batsh*t insane.
@@eivez yeah i have realise that. But if i don't rebute their claims any people that stumble on these comments would believe these claims and just run with it. People that don't do their own research or are starting to get to know IU would be missunderstand. Besides, i can't look at this comments thats basically ruining all of IU's hard work. She works hard to be recognise as an artist thats is genuine and transparent with her fans, so seeing people missunderstand he hurts me not only as her fan but also as someone that admires her work ethic that she is known for.
I love your reaction !! I can't wait to see your reaction to IU's LOVE POME live concert ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3iM_06QeZi8.html you have to listen this IU's hold my hand ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o_nxIQTM_B0.html [IU] Blueming Live Clip
So IU was born in May 1993, she is 29 currently. She was debute in 2007 at the age 14 as a soloist during the Gen2 era. Girl Groups were just a beginning thought at the time she was starting. But to debute as a soloist shows how good she was already at the young age of 14. she did not need another member to back her up, she was well rounded already. and to be able to continue to keep her voice relevant this many years after her debute shows how good she is or how the people love her so. She is known as the National Treasure Of Korea for a reason. These songs are not sung in whole, just the key parts which they are trying to show off her incredible voice and performance. This show Killing Voice is known for showcasing many incredible singers/groups in this way. it is helpful for those who do not know all the songs an artist has sung, or for a fan to remember these songs sung presently.
IU has the highest viewership on killing voice 54M views. She is also the number one artist in Korea. It's hard to succeed if you're a soloist, and I'm not from a big, well-known agency but IU has succeeded and beat the biggest groups ,She’s tops the charts without promotions or new songs. She also won the Writer of the Year Award, I think you saw her words, as she does not write anything. She also won many major awards such as Album of the Year and others. We will not finish counting her achievements. She is also the most followed Korean female artist on Spotify, She is also the best actress, won many awards, acted with director Hirokazu Koreeda, and was nominated for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival, she's called the national treasure of Korea
You've already gotten the wall of text comments about IU's whole history, as people do with reactors, lol. I'll just add that it's nice to finally see a reactor who knows how to check the goddam date on YT videos.
Thank you 💜.wonderful reaction . In 2022, IU was the first Korean to be listed on the list of the 200 greatest singers of all time by Rolling Stone magazine. That's why her influence is great. As for the man, Jungkook of BTS was chosen.💯
3:45 as iu's career progressed, she took more and more creative control over her music. in her first few albums after her debut at age 16, all of the songs were written by other songwriters, but slowly she began to write more and more of her own songs. for example, the second song in this video, "friday," was written by iu. by the time she was 23, she released her mini-album "chat-shire", which was the first time she was the sole lyricist and producer of her album. ever since then, she has really cemented herself as one of the top songwriters in south korea, and now almost all of the songs she releases are written (or co-written) by herself. (sometimes koreans joke that iu's lyrics should be taught in korean literature classes lol). she often writes very personal and introspective lyrics (e.g. with her "age series" songs like "twenty-three", "palette", "eight"), but they also cover a wide range of universal themes and ideas that make her songs super relatable for many people.
🔥💗 I'm watching again lol wwww Thank you for the always great reaction . The 2021 Iyunai in the video is the Korean age. It is calculated 2 years higher than the international age!! If YB was born in 1992, then IU, born in 1993, is the younger sister. In Korea, a 10-month-old fetus is 1 year old in the mother's belly. So she is 1 year old when she is born. And since IU's birthday is in May in international age, she is now 29 years old. On my birthday in May, I will be 30 years old. Please ask for more songs from Lovely IU.

I love IU! Could you also react to Dingo Killing Voice of Taeyeon? I think the two of them are the best female soloist of kpop! (not including Sohyang, etc.)
IU is pure talent and an amazing singer, but this show isn't actually "live" as they put tuning on all the vocals in post production. Same for the show "It's Live!" and other stuff on Korean TV. It's really dumb, i wish they wouldn't.
Dung flies swarmed in the comments. .💩 IU is the nation's little sister who can't be helped even if she denies it~~~ I love you my favorite ❤️ Best actress.
"Random things" eep no she a great lyricist, these songs aren’t the full ones so they don’t give enough context. IU is kinda like the Taylor Swift of Korea.
If you like this type of show, there are a lot of DINGO MUSIC KILLING VOICE from solo artists and some groups. You should watch MAMAMOO's KILLING VOICE. It's one of the better group in Kpop, they sing different type of songs. But there are so many other good artists on this show : AILEE, HEIZE, PUNCH, KIM JONG KOOK GUMMY, NCT, ... and even PSY
She had a rhinitis when she did this 🥲💪🫶 20:06 oh and this song is not about credit card 😂 she's saying that she's giving a yellow card towards people (haters) who have crossed the line 🟨
Hi. Nice reaction. IU is a soo unique and amazing singer. Now, I suggest you react to HYNN. HYNN is one of the best singers in the world. You must check the "Killing Voice" by Dingo Music. Thanks from N.Y.
