I think V is both, blind in one eye and deaf, that's why she leads him and protects him throughout the MV. until finally he protects her from the box and tries to fight
omg .. i've been here so many times .. loved the way she closed one of V's eyes ( the other one was blind ) so he doesn't need to see what's going to happen to them :( just love the song and mv more and mooorreeee 😭
Definitely! I have only recently discovered IU through her amazing performance in "My Mister". I decided to check out her music and have been blown away by her hauntingly beautiful voice. This and Love Poem have reduced me to tears
The video is definitely an artistic masterpiece and moved me deeply. I'm not 100% sure about the real meaning of the English word "wonderful", but I wouldn't use that term in a video where a happily in love couple dies together in a gloomy world. I also don't think IU wants the people who got her message to say it was "wonderful."
The way she covered his seeing eye so that he wouldnt have to wittness anything is just so sad and beautiful at the same time like my heart this mv is gorgeous
Now you got me crying again....cried the first time, the second time, and every sub-sequent times...and now reading your words.....man...who cut the damn onions....
Plot is just perfect. It's quite emotional to see both of them fight for each other till the end 😢 also the story depicts the life of a girl who is deaf and a boy who is blind from one eye Actor Story Writer Director Singer Has done a really good job👏
nuh this song is a cinematic masterpiece. Not only is the cinematography exquisite but the emotions it evokes in an individual is nothing short of a beautiful sentiment.
isn't it obvious that it's about a relationship blooming but burdened by the views of the internet and fans, running away from it until it becomes too much and finally fights it? just notice how the screen starts 'breaking' when that guy hits it at 3:58
The way he instantly grabs hold of her hand tightly to assure her... The way she covers his only functioning eye to shield him from what's to come... So tragically heartbreaking but yet so hauntingly romantic...
This is not just a song and MV. This is a real masterpiece. No one does it like IU. And both IU and V nailed this whole heart-breaking story in terms of acting with perfection. And even though it's just several minutes long, it felt like the whole drama for me...
I'm still in shock about this masterpiece and the fact that it felt like a complete movie in only 5 minutes. We got instantly attached to these unknown charas, we felt happy with them, we feared with them, we got frustrated and even hated this world for being so unfair. And that ending broke us all but had such a powerful meaning at the same time. Thank you to everyone who was involved!
"Love Wins All" intricately weaves together elements of romance, science fiction, and symbolism, delivering a narrative that explores the resilience of love in the midst of an extraordinary and challenging situation. The initial scenes of running torn clothes and bruises set a tone of desperation and survival. IU is deaf, while V is blinded in one eye. The cube seems to be the entity that destroys those marginalized people, and the camcorder shows them in a world where they are not discriminated against. The camcorder let them have a deluded last moment of happiness before their eventual demise. It let them experience what it could've been like before snatching it all away from them. The clothes they left behind remains as a symbol of their love and the last happy moments they had together. ❤️ The range of emotions portrayed by IU and V, it's hauntingly beautiful ✨ The way she covered his seeing eye so that he wouldn't have to wittness anything is just so sad and beautiful at the same time. how they both love eachother is just so adorable, my heart just aches at the last moment. ✨
I want to commend the people who thought about the concept of this mv. Like they literally represent the box as the "box". We often heard this phrase, "get out of the box" meaning that we have to get out of our comfort zone or to what the society demands us to be/to do. Because once you locked yourself in the box that's no different in being dead. And in this mv, the characters were running away from the box because they wanted to be free and alive. However, the box still caught them and died. Moreover, IU being deaf and V being blind in one eye represents the people with disability which made this mv more emotional. This is a really good message for them that even with disability, you can still do more so you don't have to stay in the box. But in a wider scope, I think IU and V did not only represent the PWDs but everyone as a whole. Because everyone of us have our own struggles and insecurities that make us scared to get out of the box. So, everyone can relate to this mv. Lastly and definitely not the least, IU and V being lovers here did not only represent the couples (I think in this mv they thought that was easier to understand by the viewers). But I think, it could be anyone who would be by your side while you are struggling to get out of the box. Someone you could trust and lean on. And someone who would stay and not go away. And that's my take in this mv. I hope everyone who hears this song connects with it and get the message it's trying to tell. ❤
It's already 2 weeks since this was released, I still can't get enough with her voice, the music, the cinematography, the acting of V and IU. This is perfection!
This was definitely an absolute cinematic masterpiece. Not to mention IU's beautiful singing. All together this entire M/V had me crying as if I was watching a real love story😭💜✨
Everything in this MV is a masterpiece! IU and V's acting skills, the storyline, the song itself and IU's vocals. It''s on repeat many times today but Im still in tears with the MV! This is ART.
I just watched behind the scenes and I remember how tae screamed while hitting the box now it gives me goosebumps everytime I watch this. Tae was so into the character he acted so fine.
Its been 10 days since i heard this song and its been stuck in my mind and i am not able to get rid of it It is such a masterpiece ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I hope to hear more such wonderful songsss ❤❤❤❤
I really liked how at the beginning V is timid and scared even in his body language and IU is protecting him but at the end love had blossomed so much that he overcomes his fears and starts protecting his love. When you love someone, you protect them. At the end they were together where ever they went. They had each other.
doesn't need to do that, cause i'm sure enough that everyone who comes and hearing this song and see this mv for the first time will eventually need to hear it multiple times. This song and MV is already a masterpiece
How many of you teared up no matter how many times you watched this short film? IU's emotional singing, Taehyung and her acting and the film are all incredible.
I have seen this MV several times and each time it brings me to tears. The music, IU's gorgeous singing along with V's great emotional acting brings this masterpiece together brilliantly. Probably the best MV I've ever seen.
This song was a blast❤❤❤😭😭😭😭😭😭😭This is making me Unbelievable Sad😢😢😢😢😢 Love u iu btw i am a blink but i really love this song and her vocals are just🎉🎉🎉🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The ending just blew me away and I cried. All those empty clothes finally made sense and I became SO emotional. This would make a heckuva sci-fi movie! (starring IU and V of course) 💕
So, from what I could tell, they're in a dystopian world where the cubes are in control, and they're in hiding from the cubes. As far as we can see, there's no other people left. They're running away from the cubes and decide to hide in a building. They find a pile of clothes there, and also a camcorder. There's different ways the camcorder can be interpreted, but through the camcorder they see scenes of themselves without all of the trauma and disabilities caused by the dystopian society/the cubes. They live in the beauty of this for a while, until one of the cubes finds them in the building. They try to run away but are eventually chased back to the pile of clothes, where V tries to fight off the cube but fails. Then, as they sit, defeated, in front of the cube, IU covers V's blind eye so he can't see as the cube turns red and comes toward them. If you watch closely, you see something like steam coming off of her arm-- they are disintegrating. Finally, the camcorder shows them being lifted into the air, and then a small shower of dust falls to the ground (which is what's left of their disintegrated selves, presumably). Their clothes fall onto the pile of clothes. This means that all of the other clothes are the clothes of people who had disappeared before (all of the clothes belonged to people who ended up being disintegrated by the cubes). @@_Summersfypage
@estherteichert I got a better understanding thanks to this, thank you for talking your time and, writing this long comment. But what do you think happend? What are the cubes? Why do they make people disappear and most importantly what connection do the lyrics have with the mv, I feel like everybody gets it but I don't
@@_Summersfypage I think the cubes are just taking over the universe. They could be mindless creatures/objects that are being controlled by a greater, scarier force. At the end of the day, for me the MV alludes towards the destruction and dark side of relationships and people. Because, people are messy and I think that's something we can't run from no matter how hard we try - even if we do pick up our own camcorders and attempt to recapture our times with loved ones as something perfect without flaws. I think the beautiful thing about art is being able to interpret it in our own, individualised ways. Personally for me, when they finally stop running - and once the filter stops running, we see IU and V's characters for who they truly are. It's a messy and imperfect relationship that isn't at all like what we see through their camera. But it doesn't mean they don't love each other, we can see it very deeply throughout the entire MV as they run away together and even romanticise what could've been without a life of V's character's disability, without all the trauma and loss that they are currently experiencing (And I think that's also another quality of relationships, whether it be the superficiality of the screen or desiring for an unrealistic "perfect" connection with them). And by the end of the MV, we do see that the two characters truly love each other no matter what they've faced, and although their ending wasn't exactly the happiest one - I think it is extremely realistic and raw. It's truly bittersweet and I'd like to see it as an ending where they both died in loving arms knowing they were there for each other until the very end.
The fact that she is the one who acts as a protector most of the time, she holds his hand first and runs, she picks up the pole first to hit the cube, just shows how much love she has for this person. You don't usually see women in these roles, even though they make complete sense. I would do the same for someone I care about deeply
This!! I also love how they portrayed taehyung's character as the more vulnerable one. Bec in scenes like this, male protagonists are always expected to be strong and capable. But that doesn't always have to be the case, they can also experience fear. I also read on twitter that the film showcases love in the female gaze. Cried sm 😭😭 her love is so pure. Love wins all 💜
it just makes the male look like a cowardly weakling lol. men have twice the upper body strength due to testosterone so they may as well at least have the decency to put it to use to defend women. especially with how many abuse their greater physical strength to assault and subjugate women..
What a masterpiece! They deserve all the appreciation. Let's praise them. IU sing too well. Her voice is angelic and taehyung's acting is great. He deserve everything. Wowowowoo💜🔥✨️
I've never wanted to learn how to sing the way I do now. Heard this song the moment it came out and I'm here to say it stirs emotions in me. I want to be able to connect with her through not just the lyrics but the notes of this song. I've signed up for music classes just so I can comfortably sing this song. Thank you IU for such a beautiful song. Love and support ❤
This goes far beyond just a music video. It's a stunning work of art, weaving a tale of love so captivating that words simply can't do justice to its beauty.
Es un a hermosa historia de amor...pero para el creador de la letra...tiene varias formas de ver e interpretar el vídeo...trata más sobre la discriminación que del amor
I truly like symbolism in this masterpiece.... Camera representing "Lense of love" .... despite all theirs scars and ruined world they see one another beautiful and world bright and shining around them, and even unavoidable death seems peaceful.... Isn't exaggerating to call this MV masterpiece.
okay but the part at the end hits so hard because both of their expressions are so full of desperation, and they're also resigned to their fate, and angry, and it makes me feel so much 🪦🔥
I wish there was more 😭 what did that cube do to them? Did it burn them? I hope they didn’t feel pain 😭 I know this is a video but I wish it was longer since IU and Tae did such a beautiful job ❤
He was blind in the right eye so I lost it when she covered his left eye which was ok, so he won't be able to see what was gonna happen to them, IU's voice made it even more emotional and their acting OMG, they were so good, they fought for each other & died in each others arms, I can't stop crying 😭😭
This song made me cry😭😭. The last part that IU covered TAEHYUNG'S working eye was just soo emotional😢. This song is a emotional and heart touching masterpiece💗. Their acting was also good. I'll allways support you IU and TAEHYUNG❤❤
Full of Illuminati video. One eye symbol of Satan and black and white combination to show good and evil.go hand in hand part of the same coin. Also in last scene finally Satan takes their soul as clothes (body) are released and soul is take. above. Full of satanic evil messaging and following BTS
BTS and k-pop in general have always been very satanic and evil and trying to spread the same through music. Most just like Hollywood have sold their souls in exchange for fame and fortune. They try to control young impressionable minds and BTS have been at the forefront in doing that. Hardly anyone tries to see deeper than the surface and see what kind of mind programming is going behind the scenes
It's one of the best mvs to ever come out of the industry..the phenomenonal acting, the vocals and the amazing chemistry..top notch, left me in tears!❤
